This was so reassuring! Thank you so much for your videos. I’m due to start my PGCE in September and despite feeling excited I have definitely felt those anxieties creeping in.
Hey Hannah, thanks for watching ☺️ Your feelings are completely normal but once you get into the flow of things you'll ace it I'm sure. Were there any additional things you were nervous about? Xx
“It is what you make of it.” I think this could be my first term motto!! Really needed this video and so thankful that you answered my concerns. Great video as always, thank you Miss Paris ✨
I got there in the end finding that expression 😉 I think sometimes it is just easier to blame others for things but we do have more control than we realise to make the most of experiences! Thank you for sharing your concerns as it's probably answered a lot of other people's too xx
@@PetitePrimary i took the exam today. Will find out by next Wednesday hopefully!! It’s the only thing stopping me from getting excited for September - would be a huge weight lifted. fingers crossed 🤞 !!
@@PetitePrimary I think she got convinced by my DSA report that I wouldn't be able to keep up with everything and just kept telling me it would be the toughest year of my life etc
That's really disappointing to hear. There's no sugarcoating it's a tough year, but that's all the more reason they should be supportive and help you problem solve any worries you might have. I hope you're still continuing? X
Hi! Great videos, Thank you for sharing your advice with us :) I am starting my PGCE this September 2021. Can I include some of the work I have done last year in my evidence portfolio? I am currently working as a PE Teaching Assistant, I have completed over 12 courses and qualifications last year and I was wondering if I can include those under Part Two (Teachers' standard)? Thank you
Hi Bilal, Thanks for watching! Please do not take this as official, but personally I was told that I couldn't and same applied for when I started my NQT year in the middle of the academic year (I couldn't use any of my PPA cover materials). There is nothing to say though that you can't use some of those resources in your current placement, or run a PE club and then put it in your evidence folder! Hope that helps 😊
@@PetitePrimary thanks for your quick reply:) another question which also I appreciate if you can get back to me, is there a number of evidence I need to submit for each teachers' standars? Can I submit one evidence for each standard? Thanks
No worries! I have two videos on Teacher Standards evidence folder, both in the description of this video I believe. You should aim for more than one each but it is easier than you think. Often in one lesson plan, you'll already cover multiple at once!
Hi....I have watched all your videos you videos brings some positive vibes and i have a question could you please do an video about struggles of international students who are doing pgce in england ? if you do it ,it'll be a great help for students abroad
Thanks for the suggestion! Apart from potential difficulties in getting to England (visas etc) or equivalency in examinations, I'm not sure if there are any problems exclusively for international students but I will have a research xx

Don’t do it!!!! Find another career!!!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but please be mindful that I want to keep this a positive and caring environment

That was very informative, as I have ten weeks to go before I start my Primary PGCE, and gives me a good idea about how to prepare.
I'm glad to hear that! How are you feeling about it? 😊
Thank you for these videos. Preparing to start in September. Daunting ! I need to pass my science equivalency test before then too ,double whammy !! 😫
I believe in you Lex!
When will you find out results for the equivalency test? Xx

@@PetitePrimary ah thanks for asking! ….Yes I passed !! Phew ! ☺️
So nervous and excited to start on Monday !! X
@@LexQ9 Yaay, I'm buzzing for you. Congratulations xx
Phew, this was reassuring. I had a reasonable adjustments meeting a few weeks ago with the heads of my SCITT and one of them really psyched me out.
Oh no, what happened? X

Yay!
Awesome video !! You gave me that extra reassurance I needed !!! Another lovely knowledgeable video xx THANK U
You're very welcome! Was there anything I missed in the video do you think? Xx
I love watching all your videos! Thank you lovely :) x
You're so welcome, thank you for watching Mindy! Are there any videos you'd like to see in future? Xx
Such a helpful video! Thank you 🥰🥰
You're welcome, thank you for watching! Is there any other common concern you think I may have missed? Xx
😨 I never knew you could fail the PGCE but still be rewarded with a QTS
Why does this make me feel better 😂😂
They're almost like two separate qualifications! That's why some courses just offer QTS without the PGCE xx
Great video!
Thank you ☺️
