How do you import an vector image and place it on top of the vector image that you already have. my imported image keeps going behind the existing one.

+Garcia Rosa You can raise an object, first select it then go to Object>Raise or hit the Page Up button. To Lower an object, first select it then go to Object>Lower or hit the Page Down button. Do it several times until your object is visible or layered correctly

As a newbie you have nothing on the first 10 min. It is interesting. But at the end you figured out you do not need to memorise it. After that, you have pointed each button that you can possibly press. Again. For a newbie, you do not remember that the next time.
I will follow the other lessons, but i hope you wil shorten your speach. And be prepared before you make a lesson. Not as " i sometimes use this button, oh no that button " :-)
See it from the point of vieuw from the student.
    best regards

Gregory Van der Auwera This is a class teaching you the ins and out of Inkscape for pattern making. This is lesson 1 (an introduction to Inkscape) out of 8 total lessons. Just like any class you take, you need to learn the basics first. Following lessons get more detailed as we tackle our designs. The last 2 lessons bring all of the elements together to create 2 scroll saw project patterns. You can jump to the last 2 lessons to get to the meat of it. But it goes pretty fast if you don't have have an understanding of the fundamentals. Enjoy the series.

ScrollSawGoodies To be onest. I have skipped to the last lessons. I just would like to give you some positieve feedback regarding teaching. Make it a litle bit shorter. Skip the bits that you planned to give anyway. At the end, repeat what you have given to learn. greetz.
