    It absolutely does not take that long to close on a house. Everything out of her mouth is a lie !

    • @shannonmcstormy5021
      @shannonmcstormy5021 Місяць тому

      Actually, its been my experience that a number of factors can delay the release of escrow funds from a house sale. There is an inspection where the sellers can be told that they need to first fix any issues that the inspection revealed. This can push back the closing. The reason for this is that the house is collateral for the mortgage and the bank wants to make a sound investment, in case the mortgage becomes delinquent. An important, nay critical aspect of this situation is that if the defendant isn't putting the sale of the house towards a new house, any profits are considered capitol gains, and is - taxed -.
      So.....the defendant needs to make sure she sets aside money to pay these taxes.....which, absent of a new house, can be steep......failure to pay one's taxes can become an additional case which would be violating a condition of her probation.
      Finally, because the way the IRS operates, they don't usually Investigate/Audit the wealthy because of both intense political pressures to leave the wealthy alone, but also because the wealthy can have complex (purposely so) finances. Thus, for the most part, the IRS goes after Middle-Class and the Working Poor who can afford it least. They then pile on the late charges and penalties until their victim is financially wrecked. You would think they would drop the matter at that point, but they don't tend to do so, doggedly pursuing their victims for years, making sure they don't have any savings, a mortgage, a car, etc., that the IRS can seize. This while the wealthy are shopping for their new 50-foot yacht, or their 3rd home because at that level, its likely they pay zero or nearly zero taxes - (as a percentage of their wealthy and income).
      The wealthy and the corporations really need to pay their fair share ! This is unlikely to happen no matter which party is in change. However, the situation surely won't if the Reps full get back in power where they will institute deep tax breaks for those who need it least.......
      .

      Took like 8 months for my little sister to close on her house. It was 2021 and they kept having to push the closing date because of all sorts of different issues.
      However, when my husband and I also purchased a house in 2021 and we closed at roughly 30 days.
