In the 80s when Suzuki came out with the 250 and the 500, I got the 250 and had it moded I never wanted to let my friends ride it just because it was so fast.
But riding through the woods you have to wear proper gear like helmet, boots and gloves. LOTS OF FUN WITH A NICE MACHINE!
The 500 was a brute.
A buddy got a beat up one ,and the stupid governor or whatever operated the valving was jacked up, so it was hit or miss that the VTEC kicked in ,but when it did whoohoo

U gotta tell him to yank that clutch the second he gets off the throttle. If not, pull clutch just c hair before getting off the throttle. He gotta stop backloading or the forks and or gears will be wiped out bro. When he let's off the juice in say 4th the only thing keeping it in gear still is shif fork. U don't have to go through all 6 too, he can bang 1 to 4 but instead of letting off gas and engine breaking. Pull clutch, slow down, then u can dump clutch and juice it again in 4th still. Did they make u a full on drag tranny or a Duneable? Springs on duneable help backloading failure a little. Just a little tho lol. Man I was on my seat each time he let off without clutching lol. He'll get it. Good vid bros!!!
Trust me so was i bro LOL yes duneable and i tested the weighting of the springs and made custom ones to my liking 👊

Just shift it without the clutch of your going this fast it will shift just fine
Big rock knock chains off for sure or sticks. I have a old KX 500 and used to carry a couple master links in my pocket.

they ain't no joke ive had banshees too but nothing with an elongated swing arm that banshee is a sick unit its gonna be a good race but he might need more practice

I don’t know if it’s just me, but it’s not hard to speed shift and your quad is set up for it

And this is why you don't build a transmission like that you don't need a complicated quad build a strong transmission that you can do whatever and it won't break and don't build a quad that you're so worried about no disrespect you're saying but that thing is dope it sounds good

If it’s a 2-5 neutral should be all the way down and you launch in 2nd
It will randomly pop into 1st if u rev it in neutral so i think def 1-5 override

That's a badass machine for sure. Kinda feels like a wasted machine though with that tyranny, and swingarm. It's only good for drag racing, which I know it's built for. I just think a beautiful banshee like that deserves fenders and ti be able to trail ride like it was originally built to do. It's strictly a preference thing though. I still take it with a smile on my face.
