Cypher can smoke a choke longer than viper
The re-arm is huge, you can now easily dog a trip and swing to break it without the risk of the trip rearming inside you.

trip nerfs make sense and are impactful, but that cam change is so bad from a player satisfaction perspective. Feeling like you’re outsmarting the other team using information they didn’t know you had is a core part of cypher’s fun factor, and this will almost completely remove that. It’s not a huge nerf in terms of balance, but it sounds like it’s going to really hurt player enjoyment, which I feel is the opposite of what a balance change should do
Hear TMV saying that the orb being unpickable is not that impactful, when the best viper players use their orb actively on retake/postplant, the common viper that lurks, gets one kill and holds the rotation with the orb, this nerf simply cuts most of its versatility in this type of situations, now i see viper more like a centinel than even before. Before you could just improvise with viper, do a lot of mid rounding, but now it seems that she needs a more strategic and planned play around her, also the 1 snake bite its just criminal.
As a cypher and former viper main (i quit playing viper today so i can work on other controllers) here’s my opinion:
I almost 90% of my over 1500 hours spent on Valorant on Viper.
The 1 molly change and the unpickable poison orb will tank viper and kill her forever, this is a very harsh nerf if i'm being honest.
Oof the orb become unpickable is a huge nerf in postplan/retake
remember, the 5.5 to 6.5 isnt a buff. its a revert. it used to be that. so she got no compensation. nerf after nerf after nerf to her entire kit, (ult was already gutted if they touched that again riot would be nuked with backlash even more than now)
The fact I can't pick up orb forces me to play viper differently. I was very aggressive- pretty much picking up my orb twice a round, it felt like.
I’m not a fan of removing the viper orb pickup. It lowers the creativity and skill ceiling of the agent which I think is rarely a good thing. I enjoyed seeing creative repositioning and pathing from high level viper players.
It's like they killed nats in a single update just like they killed yay's career with one single nerf.

I’m not sure I like riots recent balance philosophy as it seems like they want agents doing one thing well. I really prefer agents be more flexible as it allows for mid round plays to be made. Like pick up orb and toss it somewhere to cover a teammate or block an unexpected angle. I feel like their recent agents have been this way too.
Riot just never knows how to balance Agents do they, they just know to make an Agent Overpowered and completely make them useless afterwards. These nerfs to Viper will definitely kill her, I'm sure we'll still see her being played in certain maps. The only buff I can think for Viper now would be to remove Breeze from the game permanently. That will make her pick rate be 0% which is probably what Riot wants.
As a Viper main,this is depressing, 1 molly, 1 smoke and 1 wall, imagin rotating you cant pick up wall or the smoke, (lets jsut say you have not used the molly yet), and you get plant down you only have 1 molly so you cant clear angles and just have to play time (with no other util basically have to have better aim then the other players ), and defending side of viper should be stronger which since she is a controller but is not, put your wall down, orb down , and molly beacuse the other team is hard pushing but they end up rotating, now viper has no more util, its worse for maps like bind where you can just tp from one site to another.
