Right at the last stage of the boss, it brings back that classic FF baseline. It's probably the best timing to bring it into the game after leaving it out since FF6. (I can't remember it in FF7)
7 technically “did” have that bassline but it’s pretty hard to hear. The only times I’ve heard it was the regular boss theme and birth of a god. You hear it near the end of the boss theme before it transitions, and pretty early on in boag. There’s a whole lot going on in both of these tracks that’s why you need to hear them carefully.
... your work is unreal. Nearly 100% of the SNES tracks you've done sound better than their originals, the post-16bit era tracks sound AMAZINGLY solid and pull out the most insane feelings of nostalgia, and Xenoblade tracks you've covered are better than anything else on the youtubes and I doubt anyone else will come around with better. Would love to see some of your own twists on a few of these tracks, but I will more than gladly tell every single gamer I know about your channel. Going to be listening to your stuff for a very, very long time. Hope you do some more tracks sometime in the future. Thanks for the audio bliss.
Wow, can you imagine they had done that? Started it out with full orchestral and ending it in like 8 bit in phases? Something Final Fantasy would totally do and would have been amazing.
10/10. It's amazing you managed to translate the mood, energy and sense of urgency of the original to NES sound. Congratulations on a great work! I recently did a cover of The Extreme myself, it's in my channel if you want to check it out!
Very nice. You keep getting amazing DPCM rips for these covers. I love the way you reduced it but still kept the full sound. This song has so many layers to it that it seems hard to reduce down.
Now after I've played through VIII once again (I play it once in a year or two), I can imagine smashing Ultimecia with Lion Heart when this demake is playing.
Seriously, every sound has its counterpart in the original, no weird notes, the piece is as awesome as the one in the game - flawless work! congrats :)
The Extreme is definitely within my top 5 Uematsu scores. This is just absolutely marvelous! I've been waiting to hear an 8-bit piece of the song. Beautifully done, mate! \o/ May ask what program did you use to craft this? :3
It's called Scoutface apparently, origin UA-cam video : Scout thinks he's a bird. Don't know why it became a meme, and sorry for being 2 months late if you already know xD
"This is probably my favorite Uematsu Final Boss theme."
A man of talent AND good taste, I see
Not the best but one of the greatest. I still prefer One Winged Angel the most.
I love that transition from the first part to the boss theme. All calm and serene, and then all of a sudden "dudududududududu dudududududududu"

@@strangevision99 Yeah no FF7 didn't have it at all

I am Ultimecia.
Those DPCM drums are insane. This is as awesome for its technical achievement as its compositional integrity.

hear, hear!
8BitDanooct1 you are awesome too :D
is NES not SNES XD
It's like Ultimecia is sucking all the complexity out of the universe and reducing it to chiptune.
And in the process she is proving that she was right all along.

Sound Compression
Coming back to this excellent piece over two years later because it's just that good. We miss you and your work!

Epic battle theme from such an underrated game

You're definitely one of my favourite NSF musicians on UA-cam.
Yo, pass the time ⏳
You better not compress it 🤨

Mega 'Derp' moment.
Gonna be a while before I get to this one but I'm starting to pick back up this project ua-cam.com/video/86OF3UgQW68/v-deo.html
Bruh
Holy fuck, I can just imagine all the newer FFs as 8bit as I listen to these..
ua-cam.com/video/86OF3UgQW68/v-deo.html 😁 gonna start picking this back up, it's not the nes sound tho
This is great! The beginning gave me Castlevania 2 vibes (particularly the music that plays when in the castle).
In can already imagine the battle from here...
Best VRC6 cover.
Ever.
1 person got their ass handed to them by Ultimecia
I agree with everyone else. You are the best on youtube.
Satisfaction..
Cant wait to play FF8 on my Game Boy Color.
Would this go for the ost then 😋

Where is the original version of the picture you guys change to make your avatars?
I dunno what it is but for some reason this song makes me think of like an important pokemon battle when in 8 bit xD

Wow, great stuff! ^^
