Fun fact. Season 1 was shortened by the writer's strike. So the first 3 episodes of season 2 were meant to be the last three episodes of season 1.

@sparknazo Tuco was supposed to be kidnapped and put in Walt's crawl space where he would be tortured for a few episodes I believe and was gonna eventually be rigged up to a makeshift shotgun trap where Walt would release him and cut his bonds but if he gets up out of the chair the shotgun would blow his head off full Jigsaw style. This would result in him luring Walt Jr down there who would try to get Tuco out and then he would move killing both himself and Jr.

I have got chills as soon as I recognized it. So random, but in Breaking Bad, it worked, it worked oh so well... making you wonder until the very end of the season what is it all about? How is it related to the story? Then you abandon the idea that it has anything to do with it. But ultimately, it IS connected to it. Those scenarists... they were dope!

Hannah's pretty much on the ball. Military and police use 'sadism' and 'sardonic' behaviour to cover up the fact that they're deeply affected by the horrific shit they see in their day to day. Its a coping mechanism to ward off insanity, and believe me, you would go insane seeing this shit. First comes the PTSD, then you become jaded, and eventually, completely desensitized. If you they didn't become jaded, they'd probably go non compos mentis.

It can't be used as an excuse, though. We can't accept that abusive behavior and abuse of power is mitigated by stress, and at the same time allow rejection of treatment or training to deal with it, and stonewalling with qualified immunity. In Hill Street Blues days, I think they addressed the Sergeant's send off "Let's do it them before they do it to us" as cops doing their job before criminals do theirs. But the militarization of police forces made that distinction much less clear.

+Brown Papi Depends on the family. Regardless of how the family is structured, a good wife's job is to obviously do her "job". If the family is traditional, a good wife will manage the household as that is her job. If the family is less traditional and the roles are reversed, then a good wife will provide money for the family.
Traditional families aren't bad. Neither is the opposite. The key is to make sure both parties are contributing to the family.

@i SkyWalKing I think Hank is a funny dude, comical, and at some points pretty bad ass. I think that makes him a cool dude. He took on both twins, who had guns and bulletproof vests without a gun and survived. Got shot like 4 times and was nearly paralyzed and he still managed to recover quite well. He also never compromised his morals like Walt or Jesse (unless you count when he lost control and beat Jesse to a pulp), he couldn't be bought and he never begged. He's a cool guy imo.
edit: he disowns Walter because of the dozens of lives he's destroyed and the people he's murdered. There's no "getting him back on the straight and narrow" haha

Hannah couldn’t be more wrong about Hank. You can see how she’s very happy to think that the federal agent is a bad guy and has been wanting him to be so from the start. Hank is a fantastic and complex character as with almost every character in this series. Calling him a hypocrite because he’s trying to work through his wife’s shoplifting while also chasing people who cooks meth is simply ridiculous.

guys and gals, I'm loving this.. Better Call Saul 4th season just ended. I'm kinda having a little withdrawal but y'all have saved me. This feels like the perfect way to recap the series when you have already watched the whole thing 7 or 8 times. And it's hela-fun to expirence it with you ladies who are watching this masterpiece for the 1st time. The post episode questions are perfect, and really add a nice layer to the whole experience. I listen to each one of your answers with great interest and anticipation. Everyone always has something intelligent to add to the conversation, and it's really fun to watch BB with people who pay attention. As far as I can tell you guys have not missed a single thing. I appreciate that a lot.... The opposite can be a highly frustrating expirence. I'm sure many of us have been through that with our own friends at least once in our lives. I'm sorry I can't do the Patreon thing, for various reasons. But I did sub. I also hit the bell. (I will keep it on as long as I don't get bombarded with notifications).. Therefore my only complaint is I want more... I'm really looking forward to witnessing the changing attitudes and all that comes with this show. I find myself looking forward to each new episode with a similar level of excitement that I felt the first time I watched it... Which I feel is saying a hell of a lot considering this is just a UA-cam program. (I mean no offense to UA-cam or you guys). .. keep up the good work... please 😎

I've always seen _Breaking Bad_ as two trains in collision course starting literally from rest. The two trains slowly accelerate and pick up pace and, as the audience, we _know_ the trains are going to collide and unlike other shows where the writers are afraid of the collision, here the writers don't hold stuff, we are going to have a major collision at some point (and for those who've watched the series, you guys know when in the series the collision occurs) and things are going to blow up big time.

Juarez is a city in Mexico just across the Rio Grande from El Paso, TX. There is a walk bridge between the two. It would all be one city if it weren't in 2 separate countries. El Paso is in the very western tip of the pointy western end of Texas, which places it as the only bit of traversable land between Juarez and New Mexico. The I-10 interstate runs straight up from El Paso to Albuquerque, so when Hank talks about "the boys in Juarez," it is actually important, or at least useful, to know how close Juarez actually is (266 miles).

HaliniSnow It's subjective which season Walt truly became a villain. It's completely up to viewer interpretation, that's part of what makes this series so amazing.
It's almost like a psychological experiment, and where they view a man like him on the moral spectrum.

@@Jeremy-jm3fe I agree, its absolutely subjective, and I love that! We all start out empathizing with walt and his situation, then he just slowly descends more and more until us viewers reach our personal breaking point and realize "Nope, fuck him, he's the villian"

I just realized that this is pretty much the same conflict that Nacho found himself in, in season 2 of BCS. Only instead of Jesse and Walt debating on whether they should kill Tuco, it was Nacho and Mike, who came up with a different idea, which is why Jesse and Walt are in this situation "now". Mike's "half measure" from BCS ends up almost getting Jesse and Walt killed in BB.
