Aaron Paul was beloved and Raymond Cruz hated playing the Tuco character, so they completely flipped the script.

His final quote of “whatever happens to me is on me nobody else” shows how mature he got towards the end. Jesses success in the end was earned by him alone and his maturity allowed him to escape the drug game and enjoy the reward of complete freedom
on the other end, i think its really sad, that his parents still couldnt accept the fact, that jesse is responsible for his own life, and still tried to intervene.

I think what we’re seeing is more than just character development/progression. What we’re seeing is Aaron Paul really becoming one hell of an actor. He was extremely good in the beginning, but he was absolutely breathtaking in the end.

Jesse is a superb character and the double-act between him & Walt unforgettable. Fabulous work by all concerned, and especially the writers for not killing him off early!

The way he talks trash and then hits the classic “b*tch” line is great in itself but he really was dropping tons of knowledge throughout the show. Yeah he had an addiction problem but it shows if his parents would’ve supported him enough and not give up on him he could’ve been something real special! That’s my biggest take on Jesse! There’s tons of Jesse’s in the world!
Breaking bad is a great show, one of the best… the show is just depressing near the end and wish we got a few more heart felt moments between Jesse and Walt before the end… the part where Jesse gives Walt a bday present when no one else gives af is one of my favs
