I have this set. The 3000 is very soft and muddy but polishes well for a 3000 grit stone. The 1000 is muddy and somewhat soft. It's like a king 1000 deluxe and good quality. My 220 isn't soft and is a really good coarse stone.
In the Japan catalog these are called "Base"( made in Vietnam on the label I saw), and Gōken is the name for the premium stones made in Japan like super stone [ Gōken Kagayaki , it means shiny or bright ] , hayabusa, chosera/professional, deluxe and more. I think the deluxe may be similar to the export line called "Traditional" which is between Lobster and Super stone
I am interested in the WSD-01 to WSD-06 collection. The translation says developed for knife makers and the 1000 has two formulas, one is just for stainless steel.
Hello Daniel. Nice video, waiting for the lobsters full review. I got the 1K/3K stone from Naniwa. I'm very happy with it. The 1K/3K needs soak on first use but after that it retains enough moisture to be used as splash and go. It would be nice if you test it again a couple days after soaking to see how they behave, maybe they also work as splash and go. 1K/3K cannot be permasoaked. If you do that they may crack. Many stones have a rough superficial texture that goes away after you use it. If you never used it before maybe the surface similar to the combination stone 1K.
@@DanielWorkshop I never tested Shapton Pro or Chosera. My only other fine stone for comparison is King KDS 1K/6K, maybe my standard is a bit low. I know it cuts slow comparing with ceramic grit stones and it's probably not the best stone to start sharpening but it's decent for the way I use it. I only use 1K/3K after I reach the apex with a low grit stone and I don't remove scratches from the side. For that use it was fast work to cut paper towel. Maybe if I had better stones I would enjoy aesthetics sharpening.

I made a mistake. They are made in Vietnam and not Thailand. I apologize for that. :)

Good to know. :)

I have tested the old 1k/3k the one made in Japan but I didn''t like it too much.

Good job!
Thank you. :)
I would really like a little test of them. They seem to offer good value, but only if they perform well obviously!
A test will follow. 🙂
nice
Thanks
Correct the title of the vid and improve a bit your english :) Ditch the habbit of prolonging words. It is very annoying.
Ok.
