      I have a tumbler I’m waiting to film last part in the morning so I can also pull this one out in the sunlight for you to see.

    So happy I found this video! I bought the super hi-shine acrylic spray for my bling mugs. I'm excited to see how it turns out. ☺

      @@themostcraftynurse3914 I used the spary for the first time last night. It's a little uneven in spots. Do you know if there's a way to fix it? I used ceramic mugs. The shine is beautiful!

      Have you tried crystalac bright tone? If you can’t use epoxy, this is another option that give that nice finish. I do not really use it much myself but a lot of people who can not use epoxy do and love it. I know there are Facebook groups for it also. ❤️

    I do glitter tumblers and wineglasses and was wondering about the mod podge sealant and I was looking at krylon as well. Thanks for sharing!

      I love the mod podge sealer. so I used this tumbler and have now washed it by hand a few times to see how it would hold up and can see no change.

    When is it safe before drinking out of it. I'm doing baby bottles for my etsy

      Epoxy 72 hours. The acrylic seal, do not not apply around the bottle lip. So then 48 hours to dry.

    Hi!
    I wanted to know if you have used the mod podge spray with vinyl stickers? I'm concerned the stickers with curl up off the item. I have read this has happened to several people and I'm a bit concerned!

    I just became allergic to epoxy “sensitized” if you will, it was a violent reaction so thanks. Looking for a new product

      I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve heard that happens sometimes. I hope your doing well. it’s why I get so sad when I see people encouraging epoxy use without gloves and equipment. have you tried UV resin? granted you can’t do cups with this but you can make fun jewelry and keychains. I have a friend who can’t use epoxy but this does not bother her at all. good luck friend.

      Hi Lisa, I like using the Mod Podge but I'm going to try coating my cup with polyurethane. I've seen where people have used polyresin to coat the cup also.

    • @themostcraftynurse3914
      @themostcraftynurse3914  3 роки тому +1

      @@cjspice4847 polyurethane is harder to find product that is ok around the mouth. You can get a product called bright tone. It is a safe alternative. Gives more of a satin finish. You need more layers very thin but they dry fast. I believe there is a face book group that does this. Modpodge is a more cost efficient route. I like the modpodge spray.

    Love this alternative! Have you tried using the Mod Podge Gloss in the bottle instead of the spray? I’m wondering if it’ll work the same?!

      I have used the matte in the bottle and it worked well. I have also used the dishwasher safe.

    Is the mod podge spray the same as the Rust-Oleum matte clear?

    • @themostcraftynurse3914
      @themostcraftynurse3914  3 роки тому +1

      It is a similar idea, I just prefer the mod podge spray. I myself like the resort better from the mud patch spray. But yes they are very similar products.

      About 20 minutes, the thicker the application the longer. Generally 20 minutes is good. Than I let mine dry a full 2 days when they are completed before I wash.

    Will epoxy seal it smoothly so you won’t feel the glitter? I did a glitter mirror and I have been wondering how to seal it smoothly so I don’t feel the glitter.

    Can I use this sealer then seal it with epoxy ? My glitter isn’t quit sticking so I want to spray it before it gets wiped off with epoxy

    • @themostcraftynurse3914
      @themostcraftynurse3914  4 роки тому

      yes seal your glitter before epoxy or it can run. you can use any type of sealer if you use glue or modpodge make sure it’s completely dry or it will get cloudy
