After making the walk to this restaurant you deserved a hot meal, and the cuisine looks excellent. The historical setting is very recognizable as Canadian small towns look similar. Keep sending more videos Lisa as your presentations are informative, and Russia is a normal place to live. I would gladly try this food. as it looks delicious
Hello Lisa..The food looked absolutely delicious. As a boy growing up my father required meat and potatoes to be served at every meal.Your Russian meal looked very good.If I was there I would try all of your different foods. I love food.❤❤
Hello Lisa, greetings from Brazil! Lovely place and cozy sightseeing, lovely video as always, I must say this one I have enjoyed pretty much, please keep yourself warm!
Thanks for another great vlog, it is almost like you have stepped back in time to Imperial Russia. In the distant past work was very labour intensive but being part of a large family living in a close-knit community is something most of us no longer experience! The food looked amazing. Personally, I always try to eat home cooked food without additives. In the winter time, my perfect meal would be freshly made soup for a starter, casserole or a hotpot for the main course and a freshly baked fruit pie for dessert. Sometimes it is more enjoyable to visit a place out of season when there are not hundreds of tourists!
thats right! Suzdal is in low season now after the Christmas holidays. I was surprised to see such restaurant with few customers! It has high rating in the town
I would definitely like to try traditional Russian foods and drinks if I visit Russia. And if I tried fast food, it would be Russian fast food like Teremok.
Yummy Cranberry Vodka Juice! Cheers! ❤😉👍🥂👈😊❤ You always make me so hungry watching your restaurant visits! I would be sitting in that Tree Room or Honey Clay Pot Room with my Honey, but first I will have to go the Tea Pot Bar for another shot of Vodka Juice! Such a cozy place! I love it! ❤❤❤
Hey Lisa! This was great. What a lovely, quaint little town. That restaurant (The Hive) was quite interesting. I am always eager to try new things and that main course, along with the second course, baked cabbage, look delicious! I know we're accustomed to conventional foods but it's never too late to dig into something different. Also, no dessert? I would have loved to have seen what you would have chosen! As always, Thank you, Lisa! Have a wonderful day 🙂
I love this video. Your mood was extra happy and entertaining. The food looks awesome. I want to try the cranberry shot and all the food. It is clear to me that you are an animal lover which makes me happy. 😍Stay warm. Noka Noka
I really liked this video. I enjoyed seeing the vodka cranberry shot and that infusion you drink. Also the cabbage looked good with that mushroom sauce. This Russian food looks delicious. I know I used to eat lots of borscht with some drink called compot ( I don't know if I spell it right), it's some berry drink. Also a Russia drink that taste like beer but with no alcohol. It was also delicious. Thank you for your video. I enjoyed it very much! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello from the USA. I'm not an adventurous eater but I would try some of the foods. That baked cabbage looked interesting. You make one great video after another.
Hi Lisa! Looks like an exquisite meal, suitable for a Russian Queen 🇷🇺👸! I would love to try such traditional food 😋. To help answer your question, tincture means any solution with alcohol (ethanol) as the solvent, but is often defined as medicine dissolved in alcohol 🤣. In an infusion, we extract flavor by allowing material to remain in a solvent like water or alcohol over time, and consume the liquid 😊. Thank you for another fantastic video! 🙏🥰
I would love for you to visit Tver sometime and vlog it! I was adopted from there from an orphanage when I was 6 months old, I'm 21 now and I have not been back since, which is a really hard thing for me to deal with as I get older. :( I would love to visit Russia more than anything, but with the war happening I get nervous at times thinking about visiting. Also, I live in America now and I don't know much Russian sadly. I have started learning the language one day at a time so that one day when I do visit I can speak it. :) I love your videos and it makes me feel like a piece of me gets to feel like I am there even though I am not.🥰
This is the moment to listen to the soul, and return to where it found life and where it pulls you!And don't listen to propaganda on America's TV!YOUR SOUL WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY!
Thanks LISA !.....As usual...you make me hungry...everytime I see you eat ! ......Those meals looked YUMMY ! The restaurant was very appealing in looks.......but were those Wooden seats comfortable !? Thanks for showing us and stay SAFE ! Love...to Lisa with Love from Australia ✈🦘🇦🇺🌹
Food looked delicious. Certainly I would try it in Russia. Really nice atmospheric restaurant to warm up from the cold outside. You look cute sitting there eating away.
You mean America with all the garbage so called food and corrupt healthcare system making people sick and then prescribing them the cure for profit. @@ПавелПожарский-е6е
Another fine day out exploring the lovely small town. The restaurant looked amazing and the food looked delicious. Must say I never saw cabbage cooked like that. You had a full meal. But no dessert? Thanks for sharing!😊🎉❤
Do not freeze completely Lisa or we have to travel to Russia to kiss you. Just like in a fairy tales. Very stylish restaurant and nice looking traditional food. Lucky me, I was prepared right after dinner. :)
The juice we might call an infusion..a tincture might be more of a medicinal term for cough medicine etc. That meat platter looks like a years supply of meat in one go,i would enjoy that!
Colourful liqueurs or cordials are berries or fruit (plums bananas or peaches) soaked for a week in grain alcohol and diluted with water or simple syrup (1:1 simmered sugar water). Filtered and bottled and allowed to rest for a year in a dark place for the flavours to soften. For herbs or coffee you start with a strong brew, sweeten it, cool it down then add the alcohol, bottle it.
It could be an Aperitif meant to stimulate digestion before a meal with bitter herbs. The after-dinner mint is a carminative which is meant to help with digestion also, particularly gas i.e. cabbage often has caraway seeds which are a carminative herb.
This is not exactly baking vegetables in the traditional sense. It's languishing in a Russian oven. The dish is cooked for quite a long time and at a not very high temperature. At the same time, the cabbage turns out to be very soft, with a rich taste and without loss of vitamins. In principle, you can bake any vegetable this way, but for this you need at least a Russian oven with residual heat after burnt wood and 10-15 hours of time. This is simply impossible in a conventional oven.
Behind you inside the glass jars are lactofermentation or fermented vegetables which was a very traditional way of preserving vegetables ; I do hope Russia hasnt lost this beautiful tradition as those fermented vegetables are so healthy and full of nutriments. Yes they are food normaly not decoration 😊 !
For a second when you said "cold snacks" i thought you said "cold snakes"!That place looks so lovely, like a big Christmas card!Maybe a Russian dog only answers to cobaka?
The meal looked delicious , tincture usually has some alcohol, whereas infusion is a solid substance like tea leaves solubles going into water for instance. I am definitely not going to travel to Russia to eat what i can get at home. It had enough information to guage the locality and availability. Took my time to read the menu,( thanks for doing that, its exactly what i want) and it was quite varied.
Hey Lisa, enjoy your vids. I grew up in South Dakota USA and we saw -30F, about the same in C, every winter. So when you talked at the start about how the cold was different from hands to face I just laughed, because it was the same in Sioux Falls. Love to see how Russian folks eat to make it thru the winter.
I for one would eat Russian food, and no American fast food. By the way it looked really good and wanted you to pass those drinks over they looked really good so did the food. As they say when in Rome do as the Romans or something like that.
6:00 😂Thanks for the extra Russian accent👌😂😂.. Looks good, no McDonalds 4 me, I want the full Russian treatment.. Well i would try the Russian Mcds since it is Russian version, Tasty.
Hi. I just bumped into your videoa and i liked it Fi I hope you not find me boring but, firstly cranberry with vodka or with gin is bit sour and prepares your intestines better than other aperitives for whats coming. Secondly boilin or cooking in oven is healthier as you said and brings out the flavor better than frying...and the old rule is = cook is haste, loose the taste😉👍
This morning 0445 it was 3C and raining, after work it was -6C and snowing. Next time you see horses approach, hold your arm out pam down & they'll let you rub their ears.
Ti prosto super 🥰
Have a nice Russian day, Lisa the Russian. Stay warm. ❤️🇷🇺

Why I love restaurants in Russia - all products are GMO-free. They mainly grow in the same region.
Your meal looks delicious, Lisa. I've had elk before and I agree, it tastes like liver.🙂
Really? I never tried any big forest animal meat 🐺🧐😊 have a nice day
@@lisa_with_love Yes! It was on the menu on a restaurant in northwest Wisconsin where elk and moose live.
Such a cute restaurant and delicious looking food.

Hello Lisa, greetings from Brazil! Lovely place and cozy sightseeing, lovely video as always, I must say this one I have enjoyed pretty much, please keep yourself warm!
Simple food is usually the best.
That Tree - stylised cabinet in the restaurant has reminded a Rabbit's house from a soviet cartoon about "Vinnie The Fluff" to me👍🐻
actually the owl lady lived in the tree house ! rabbit lived in burrow with tree as well as I remember haha

Baking a cabbage 🥬 is something I had never thought of, we put cabbage in soup , in salads and in stews , that’s an interesting concept .

We also fermenting it. So, you get sour cabbage. And you can cook traditional Russian soup - Shee
