Hello! My name is Vasilisa, I'm from Vladivostok in Russia, I was born there and lived here until the age of 23, after that I spent several years living in Asia, in places like Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Macau and Bali. After my travels, I turned to Russia to look at it from a different perspective...

One of the most beautiful cities especially during Christmas time. Greetings to our Russian brothers from 🇪🇸/🇺🇸
These areas are nice, but mostly residential areas aren't the best.
wow! amazing! I can say that I love Japanese food too.. my favourite is udon and katsu curry 😋

Moscow is so beautifully decorated during Christmas time . ❤ from 🇨🇦
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, Moscow is absolutely beautiful during Christmas time. The city is transformed into a winter wonderland with lights, decorations, and festivities everywhere.
You should see Mariupol at Christmas time.
It is not just Russian ice cream it is Soviet ice cream ! That is the point of it. People love it.
And the one in GUM is considered the best in Moscow.
Here in Romania we call tiftely “chiftele” which sounds almost the same. The holodets looks amazing, we also make that with a lot of garlic and pork.
How do you call Russian Salad in Romania?
@@AlexanderTch we call it salata boeuf (beef salad).
Here in USA we don't even know what buckwheat is. But since I have lived in Russia so much I love to eat it. I have it shipped to my home. Great with some chicken or beef.
We have buckwheat in massachusetts you must live in the boonies not to have it
If you fry buckwheat with mushrooms, onions and meat it will be incredibly tasty 😊
yesss it is a good dish 😁
@@user-zb8hq4pi6m In Russia, buckwheat is not eaten every day. These grains are loved to be eaten, but not like that.)) If you feed someone one type of food every day, then nothing good will happen in that person’s body;)
Russia beautiful nation, people & food 😍
VIVA RUSSIA
I love russian food and uzbek plov! I❤ I am currently in Uzbekistan, I film Walking video tours for UA-cam just for free. It is my passion! ❤
Plov is one of my favourites!
As an American, you make it seem like there's the Russian dream. 33 years born and raised in America, Russia sounds nice. Especially in a dacha piece and quiet. I can sleep to that.
i think that Sergey Baklykov of Real Russia also went to this canteen. the food here looks great. if i can ever go to Russia, i will eat there too.
maybe! I haven't seen any videos with this canteen, I wanted to make my own 😇
Sergey Baklykov has great content on his channel, I highly recommend
You make the best videos. I feel like you are talking directly to me instead of talking into a camera. Your editing and choice of music show that you put more effort into your videos than most other vloggers and UA-camrs. Love your Russian accent and your laugh. Keep up the great work.
Lisa much ❤from USA 🇺🇸.
hello! happy Thanksgiving 🌷
Never a dull video, always show such great, positive content. It's nice to see Russia from the personal perspective, unclouded with propaganda and political discourse. And the best part is each episode is hosted by this absolutely gorgeous Russian girl from Vladivostok ❤😊😉
Yes, it is great that each episode is hosted by a Russian girl from Vladivostok. It is a nice touch to have someone who is familiar with the Russian culture and language to host the show. It makes the show more authentic and engaging for viewers.
She is absolutely average for Russian standards. But I like her, too.
@@this.is.berlin you may find her average, I disagree. At least we can agree we both 👍 her 🙂
Super goed russian food 😊..Priyatnogo appetitta..
This Canteen reminds me of a cafeteria in a store that people visited to partake of meals and side dishes. The portions in this Canteen are very generous. The meal menu and variety looks great in this Russian Canteen . Lisa you are a dear charming hostess that is informative. Thank you.
Thank you for this great video. I have never seen Moscow. I have only seen The Kremlin on Newscasts but this was a good way to see the ordinary day to day life of the people. Thank you once again, a beautiful city.
Thanks for showing us inside a canteen and the bravery it took to film while getting annoyed looks from people. The GUM looks very beautiful with lots of shops and things to do. Red square will look amazing after they get everything setup. I guess there will be a big ice rink to skate also. Thanks for your effort making another great video.😊🥰
I want to film vlog where I will go and try this ice rink! I can skate 💃
@@lisa_with_love can you fly direct from moscow to tbilisi georgia? i am buying a condo there and i also want to buy condo in anapa beach, and so i am wondering if the distance flight is short, i may want to buy a restaurant business in moscow.
Thank you for sharing these experiences Lisa. I’m really interested in the differences you describe between traditional Russian food and foods we eat in the West. I love how you flirt with the camera a little in your vlogs ❤
Love the video, Russia looks like a beautiful place in the winter
yes Christmas vibes are not fake they are real !! 🙏
This food looks amazing, I would love to try this. Very wholesome and nutritious. I gave you a like because you were annoying people with your tripod 😂.
taking picture with plate of food... other people were like "is she is here for photoshoot of for lunch?"
@@lisa_with_love Haha! You could say both!!
Very well done, Lisa. I did not know about the kartoshka dessert before watching this video. But now I want to try it if I visit Russia! I like canteens/cafeterias for the variety of options. They used to be more popular in USA when I was a kid. Then all you can eat buffets became popular instead but now many of those have closed also.
exactly, If you are not Russian you will never know what Kartoshka is... it is secret soviet dessert 😅
@@lisa_with_love👍🤣🤣🤣
@lisa_with_love thank you for sharing secrets with us 😀
Actually, it was one of the cheapest desert during Soviet time...
Mmm so many delicious foods. Just are my lunch but now ready for more! Many different options and for good prices. Thanks for sharing. 🍲 🍴 🍻 Sure you enjoyed!😊🎉❤
I just gained 10lbs in my body weight from all that food you ate! 😊 That looked so delicious and even made my mouth water! Thanks for sharing though I couldn't have a taste! Maybe next time! Keep up the good work Lisa! ❤️😆👍🍷
It was the first meal of the day for me.. I was so hungry 😁 Actually it is not heavy food, no fried and oily stuff
Your videos are so good, and your English is superb. Thank you so much for sharing, keep up the good work! All the way from Namibia 🇳🇦
Your awesome and be safe out there you rock ❤😎👍🙏
Love your food specials. Pity we don't have tasteavision. I'm drooling already about your Xmas & New Year episodes not to mention your VDNKh/Expo Part 2 vlog. Splendid vlogging.❤😊🇦🇺
Great way to start a day, watching your latest vlog. Your positivity is infectious. 😄❤
stay positive and have nice sunday! cheers 🌷
Mmm..
This is why the Russian girls are so healthy.
I'll skip the meat jelly. 😜
How funny. I was in this stolovaya in 2015 but luckily there were not so many people 😅
Food at Stolovaya looks delicious. I also like to try new things, so would enjoy the variety of a Soviet canteen. Kartoshka dessert looks especially good. Thank you as always for sharing!
hello David !!! Kartoshka is hidden russian dessert.. If you don't know it you would never know hehe !😆
Beautiful....I want to go visit.
Lol loved the faces you make when tasting the food. Hi from Sonora México
Up here in canada a meal at McDonald's cost 16 17 dollars for a big Mac a watered down coke and fries full of chemicals I want to eat at that restaurant 😊love your video 😅😊
Your expressions while having food are so sweeeeet
Yum yum! Kholodets with beef tongue. So satisfying and squishy. 😊
I'm very impressed how gorgeous Moscow buildings are. 😍
You create the best vlogs on UA-cam. They are like sunshine on a rainy day. 🌞
thank you ! very cute to hear this 🌷 kholodets dish is not for everyone but believe me it tastes very good
@@lisa_with_loveI love your reaction when you get your first taste of kholodets. Mmmm! That's really nice, I like it! 😊
Thanks for showing me that kholodets isn't so ghastly and gawd-awful after all.
What a beautiful theater house.
Do you mean Cinema? Yes it is lovely 🙏
Love the content and facial expressions. Food is exciting and we need to cherish it, in our memories and hearts.
Good Video review! If you do not know Russia this is an authentic place. Lisa you are for real Russian eating Meat Jelly!
Very nice video! 👍🏻
And now I am hungry, your videos are so authentic. Thank you again for a nice video.
thanks for checking on me! appreciate 😇
I remember my travel to 8 cities in Russia , from Irkutz to Moscow, was fantastic
I hope you enjoyed your meal i would have had something else to be honest, maybe the meatballs but the tongue in jelly ill pass..The Stolovaya is very similar to what we would call "Olde English Tearooms".Very chintzy with lace tablecloths etc.Sadly a dying thing in UK.You could get pies and sausages and mash etc.
jelly meat is not for everyone! I do not eat it every day haha 👍 I would love to visit old tearoom in England !
I just remembered a very famous company called "Bettys Tea Rooms" which i think we still have, where they dont serve meals, but you get nice afternoon tea and cakes, with nice waitress service etc.Maybe you can google it?One day hopefully you can come to UK and find out..
Fast food prepared with Love ❤...whereas ours is just prepared. 😢
Wow such a wonderful presentator lady!
Very informative. Thank you!
These videos are AMAZING!!!
That was a pleasant video ..I’ve been where you were many times …I Love Moscow ..and your presentation was very good until next time Lisa ….💕 Alex 🇬🇷
This was very interesting! I enjoy learning all about the typical main course dishes and dessert options. All of which totaled out to be $9. Reasonably priced as opposed to what quality of food you would pay at a fast-food establishment. Overall, it was well presented. Your positivity and perspective on everything is wonderful to see. Thank you, Lisa! 😊
Actually, it's 5 times less in ordinary place, even in Moscow, it's just because of Red Square close by
thank you for donation dear friend! to get big meal for 9 usd in the Red Square is it fantastic price 😉
My first video from Lisa. I am impressed. I subscribed to see more. interesting and very well done.😀
It's not a classsic canteen😂 just stylish one it is located in the Moscow's center near Kremlin where a lot of travel foreigners. The real cafeterias are located somewhere in Novokuznetsk or Chelyabinsk. But credit where credit's due the russian food is very deli and russian girls are very beautiful and slim and for good measure not stupid.
i love your stong self-confidence... its very attractive. and you have cute eyes too
when I take camera I need to be confident ☺ in real life I am normal...
In Germany we have marzipan potatoes as a dessert. I initially thought that was the potato dessert. And instead of one piece of meat in jelly, we tend to use smaller pieces of beef or chicken and then add veggies or even fruit as well. One of my favorite meals is beef jelly cubes and mixed with onions and a vinaigrette with a side of fried potatoes.
Thanks LIsa. I like how it says for the 'comrades' where they can get their teaspoons. We used to have many basic good-value restaurants in our department stores like Littlewoods or Woolworths, but they went out of business. Now it's just posh restaurants, coffee shops or McDonalds.
the place for dirty trays is also indicated with the phrase, thank you for cleaning up after yourself, comrade 😁😎👍
@@lisa_with_love When I was a student in the '80s, living away from home for the first time, it was nice to be a comrade and feel included in that way.
Hi Vasilisa!😊
Priviet! I just love all your vlogs. I am from india and on a solo vacation to Russia. Currently in Saint Petersburg tomorrow will be in moscow for 4 days. It would be great if we could catch up.

I'm a Jamaican I would move to Russia right now..
If I visited Mother Russia, when I left I would have to pay for 2 seats because of sampling and eating all that scrupulous food !
And what beautiful people !
Pigeon Milk Souffle and Herring Under Fur Coat, hmmm... Now the beef tongue in gelatin is classic. Tongue is quite expensive here. The preparation is quite difficult if you are accustomed to it: the key is to scrape off the taste buds while conserving the meat. The easiest method is to blanch, but not for long. The next difficulty is timing the boil. Too long and it is too hard, too short and the outside soft while the inside is raw, and from this you cannot recover. Also, beef tongues are over four pounds here, so you have to give it away to friends or have a large family. Reheating it is difficult without overcooking, where the unique softness is lost. When right bit melts in the mouth.
>>The preparation is quite difficult if you are accustomed to it: the key is to scrape off the taste buds while conserving the meat.
Hm, you don't have to scrape anything, you just boil it, some people change the water 2 or even 3 times, also they add bae leaf (very popular in Russia), whole peppers, maybe even carrots and onions. I wouldn't call the prep very difficult since you just boil the thing. The longest it took me was 3 hours. And yes, peeling it aftewards might be a challenge. Also, the bad thing about the cow tongue is that it doesn't do well in the fridge: next day it's tougher and loses its taste.
@@alexanderkuptsov6117 Agreed on scraping being antiquated. The post says 'the easiest method is to blanch,' e.g. boil and peel.
In the Cantonese cooking, black soy and/or Chinese marinade (specific products), rock sugar, and star anise are used with an after prep reduction in the boiling liquid to utilize the collagen coming from the tongue. That connective material plus the added sucrose makes for a nice looking demi glaze.
@@racingsquirrel238 Interesting, might want to try it once, I love anise and everything Chinese in cooking )
Lisa, there is a video of 8 minutes of watching President Putin eating yogurt and perhaps more food. Its wonderful, you are right up there...its fun watching you..
Bon appetite Lisa the Russian. You should invite me to go eat someday lol. Love you. ❤️🇷🇺
In America it’s really hard to find a nice mall like that unless it has a casino attached to it that’s what I will say about Russia their mall are always full and beautiful not having to rely so heavily on online ordering 😊
Most things are bought online. People come to shopping malls to hang out.
The shopping center always has a food court, playrooms for children, usually there is a cinema room, the rest are brand stores. So in Russia, the shopping center is more about recreation and entertainment, combining it with the purchase of any consumables or branded things
the theatre looks very cool
Thanks for filming when it might not be comfortable. I love seeing this Russian food.
Christmas is a wonderful time of year everywhere. Have you been to Kherson, Melitopol, Kharkiv, Mariupol at Christmas time? Enchanting.
Super Russia.

Hey Lisa, perhaps you could do a vlog about these unusual places : museum of Fiodor Konioukhov (metro Pavletskaya), art objects in parc Tchermianka, medieval castle (metro Novokossino/Marino), artistic parc Symbol (metro ploshtad ilich), village of artists (metro Sokol),
When during West Europe tour, especially in Netherlands I tried vrikandel and goulash kroket. For me the taste very plain like boiled meat without seasoning.
Likewise, when I tried pork knuckle in Germany, it tasted like boiled meat without any tasty flavors.
For me, who lives in Southeast Asia, it is very common for food to be rich in spices so I have a different taste in my tongue.
hello to South East Asia ☺ love Asian food!
Thank you very much for taking us on a nice trip it's amazing u know.
Stay blessed always.
Take care of you.
Everything looks yummy !

hello ! Have a wonderful sunday 🎅🙏
Hi Lisa, Nice Vid. and canteen looks good and inexpensive! :)
Don't forget to tell us what All the food is that you select as we aren't used to a lot of it in the West.
Thankfully your pronuciations is good so I found out that 'grechka' is buckwheat? Not a dish that we are familair with but perhaps one we should try if possible as I understand it's very poplular there.
Last time I was in the GUM store there was little or nothing on the shelves & very stern looking ladies in white uniforms & caps 'serving'! :o
Certainly a lot has changed since then! It was just before Gorbachez was in power. I wonder who will win the election today!?...... ;)
Take care, stay safe and keep posting. ..... :) :X
THANK YOU 🙂
