ADU 437 sq. ft. Walkthrough

- This is a look around my personal adu that is 437 sq. Ft. 1 bedroom 1 bath with kitchen and laundry.
Although the square footage may seem small it is amazing with the proper layout what you can get out of the space. Tall ceilings with light paint make it light and airy and not cramped at all.
This particular adu is in Murrieta Ca and in Riverside County. The toughest part of these projects is the permit process as the regulation is strong in California. Permit time was a whopping 9 months while the build took 3 months.
Cost for us to build is 300-330 a sq. Ft. and depends largely on finishes and design. On our adu we have quartz, tiles shower, frameless glass, lvp, and a lot of premium features. There are ways to simplify to keep costs down.

Badass!
Awesome!
I converted my 2 car garage into an ADU. 485 sq ft. I decided to do a studio instead due to the small space. I block one area using closet Wardrobe Armoires to create a space for a bed.
Looks good but u said their gas pipes on the driveway side of the house
The driveway is in front of this unit. The side of it I sometimes park at but we have a driveway that has 7 spots we are on a big lot.
Hope most people able to have a house
Great video! How long did the entire process take?
permits 9 mos. build 3 mos.
Wish I could get this in Houston, TX
Snake door is kool
Cost to build
300-350 a sq ft.
looks good! wow, that's small though, one would have to get rid of EVERYTHING if they were to live there.
it works perfect for 1-2 people.
Awesome job Joe
Do yall do anywork in dallas texas?
no we do not. We are based in So cal. I have a good friend who lives right outside dallas that can help you
Looks legit!
Looks great.
How much it cost to have one like this ?
@@forged_billions2 350 sq ft plus plans and permit fees.
@@stephensbrothersconstructi7294 thanks
Would you consider selling the plans, because that is EXACTLY what we want to build for my MIL on our property. TY.
where do you live
@@stephensbrothersconstructi7294 We don't live there, yet, but it will be in Yavapai County, AZ.
I Need a quote in Perris
we have pricing on our website. per square foot.
You need to live in an ADU to afford a Tesla!
@@rosiejimenez3953 that's my daughters Tesla. My Tesla is in my garage they're very affordable cars.
How much did it cost to run electrical and water from street?
I ran water off my main with its own shutoff and electrical is sub panel off main. Hard to say cost as I do most of the work myself and this is my residence.
@stephensbrothersconstructi7294 thank you, I am looking to do something similar building on top of my garage which is connected to my house. Any advice you can give for running water, electrical, plumbing? I found your video to be very helpful
That’s one of nicest detached ADUs I’ve seen.
$350/sq ft is very reasonable. Would you be able to build something like this in Santa Barbara???
Thank you. We unfortunately are out of that area. Possibly can put you in touch with a good company in the area.
I'll build it for.you
@@renesilva241 City regulation with the set back from the street make the project a no go. Thanks.
Looks good, quality attention to detail. My only qualm is the front aesthetic. The exterior wall on the left is void/dead space. It needs a faux window or something. Otherwise, I saved this video for my jr ADU build in Sacramento. I’m converting my 20x20 garage. Thanks for sharing!
do you work in Fremont?
We are based in So Cal so that is not in our work area.
Hoelw much it costo thee total??
