Been using the SL60 for over a year and just bought the VL150 but it hasn't arrived yet. Good video. Really appreciate the outdoor stuff. I've been curious about that and no other reviewer has demonstrated.
I own the SL60W and its a great light. The biggest gripe is the lack of a v-mount battery power solution. The noise is acceptable for me. The VL series lights look fantastic and I will definitely be picking one or two up.
@5:00 my little strap broke within the first week of use. They don't support the weight of v locks. Light construction and output is great. Just as good as other brands without the big $$$
Great video! Which Neewer Batteries did you use? How long do these batteries last on full. Do the batteries let you use the full range or does it cap at 80% or something? Thanks. I was looking at the Soonwell 230Wh, but they are $259 each? If I get a couple of those they cost as much as the light?
Outdoor during the sunny day is hard for LEDs. Even the 200W is barely noticeable fill. On a super bright day multiple 300W lights would be necessary to create a decent fill. So just depends on what you’re looking for. If you just need a tad of fill during the day the 150 may be good.
Hi, I want to take photos and record video in dimly lit rooms of 10-15m2. Do you think the godox vl200 would be good for me? Is the diffuser necessary in my case? Thank you very much and congratulations for your channel 🔝.
I know this video is old and you probably don't have it anymore, but do you know what all is needed to use this light outdoors? I have v mount batteries, but I'm not sure which cord would work.
Actually I still have this light and use it on my secondary sets hah! Solid light. And all you need is what it comes with. The cable that runs down from the light into the control box is all you’d need once you put on your V mounts 👍🏼

😂 your wife is going to murder me. And hmm that’s a tough one. I’d say if you’re mostly using it inside or outside in more dim lit scenarios I’d go for two 150s. If you’re wanting to battle to sun and use it as a fill during the day then I’d say 200 or 300. Just don’t be like me and order it all excited for portability and then realize I need to buy two more V mount batteries which are annoying to buy 😂
@@initialfocus she just might 😂. Seriously though, she's always excited once we get. I decided to get a 150 with another c stand, etc., wait a week and grab a 200 for the extra punch. I noticed that as well Haha. Maybe make a video about v-mounts, there usefulness and budget vs high quality (if you haven't already). I've been getting away with using a 350w portable power bank for up to 4 hours on one of my current 100w lights. It works great for now, but not practical in the long run.
Keep it real... Godox sent you the light with the understanding that you'd give it a favourable review and you want more freebies. You admitted that you're not familiar with other brands so you effectively don't know what you're talking about. It's like a person that says, "I like Suzuki cars. I've never driven other brands but this is the best."
