I'm missing an era I never even lived in in the first place. Hands down the best ABC promo jingle.

I was a little kid then and the 70s are largely a wasteland to me, but seeing this, well, they did have some good stuff.

Holy smokes! I remember this thing. This was when there were only 3 major networks and ABC was at the top.
There is no better promo that’s ever been made. And that seductive model blew my socks off as a thirteen year old boy. Such a feel good times from days never to return.

I remember waiting to hear and see these promos. Yes. I was a complete tv nerd and junkie. I’m 58 and nothing has changed except these great promos. I miss those days. Good memories.
1977-78 Notre Dame Fighting Irish National Champions, not to mention in 1978 was the birth of Amara Tenoh (Uranus), Michelle Kaioh (Neptune)
Harry Marks was the man behind this. He said in an interview this whole spot only cost $60,000 to produce; mostly because it doesn’t feature any of the network stars or many graphics. They just looked for creative ways of using the number one in various places. It was meant to be more of a call to action than an actual promotional campaign.
ABC didn’t start using the network talent until the next year with their “We’re the One,” campaign (and all the ones after).
Very interesting. The second Still the One campaign from two years later sent the ABC talent up in hot air balloons. I bet that was much more expensive.

This Jingle and the "Come On Along" Jingle were the Two Best Ever. I think abc represented the 70s more than the other two Networks (not saying they didn't). Welcome back Kotter, Family, Charlie's Angles, Barney Miller to Saturday Morning Cartoons and School House Rock. Really Good Memories.👍🏾

@@matthewcampbell7985 I remember that one and the funny thing is it started on channel 30 then they switched networks and CBS was still using it. I was in high school and it took forever to get used to it lol.
Later adapted in 1978 for the Nine Network in Australia.
And they've used it for a long time.
