  • Most organizations are driven by the carrot and stick model where you get rewarded or punished. But what if this was not the only way? What if we could make work, a better place, a happier place and a more productive one? Bart Vanderhaegen proposes 3 simple rules to achieve FLOW, a motivational state that makes people happier and organizations more performant. It's time to shift the paradigm!
After quitting his consultancy job, Bart Vanderhaegen became an entrepreneur and Founder of “Pactify”: a new philosophy, methodology and software to organize work for more productivity and satisfaction. Passionate about management, organizations & behavioral sciences; Bart has committed himself to make organizations happier places as well as more productive.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Enjoyed this very much. It's a good message. One organisations would do well to embrace.
Another way to look at flow is to consider the rules governing the flight of flock of birds!
    1. Separation - avoid impacting neighbours
    2. Alignment - steer towards average heading
    3. Cohesion - steer towards average position of neighbours

Bravo Bart, incredibly well presented, the presentation itself has flow. I knew about the monkey and the candle experiments but I had never correlated them in this simple way.
