Today's video was absolutely awesome. I got to drive one super sick Lexus SC400 that has been both manual swapped and 1JZ swapped. My homie Abram came down to share his pride and joy with us. It has so many goodies. Tomei Turbo, full fuel setup, clutch, ECU, along with coilovers, custom exhaust, staggered Work Emotion wheels and a carbon fiber trunk. Car is absolutely beautiful!

As a former Toyota Soarer owner, this video made my morning. Beautiful looking car, especially with that carbon fibre boot/trunk. The early model Soarer’s had stock thicker rods than the later model’s to handle more power. Bullet cars in Queensland Australia do bolt on superchargers for the 1uz v8’s and they would be fun to drive with a manual swap. If you turbo charge the v8’s, that’s a whole new level. I’ve seen a few videos of guys in the States, in Australia and New Zealand have pulled it off. I’m sure plenty of people around the world have done it.

@@reyezgte haha I’ve watched that video heaps of times. That car is an absolute weapon and in the video Sean talks about another guy that has a twin turbo setup and says it’s on a whole new level. It must produce some serious power.

The 1JZ has been blowing my mind lately. I put a PW gt3582 on my chaser, everything else is stock. I ran a mrk 5 Supra last night from a 30 roll and lost by 1 car length . Long live the 1J !!! Lol cheers bud!
Haha yes! That's what I'm talking about. If you're hanging with a MKV then you're definitely on the right track to having a quick car. Plus the 1JZ is the best sounding engine 😎

I have a stock 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8 at 71,000 miles. How much would it cost to have a shop 1JZ swap my car? Where would I even find a 1JZ online? These are the type of questions I have been researching since 2020. My car is capable of 600whp with an extremely built engine, but the main guy Travis who works on the cars in Vegas at MT Motorsports is supposedly charging over $8,000 for a built engine. The 2.0 comes with a turbo stock. Those with built engines have reached 700whp to 850whp. The Genesis Coupe is similar to a Lexus SC because both cars have two different versions. The difference is, the Lexus SC is far superior and has more potential and reliability. I would like to learn how to drive manual someday, and try to purchase an SC or another JDM car. For now, I am still searching for options. The only options for the 3.8 is to have a built 2.0 installed, or have it LS swapped. If 1JZ is cheaper than LS, that would be amazing.
Honestly, the cheapest route would probably be the LS or building the motor in your car. I'm seeing 1JZs around $4,400 before shipping. Once shipping and install of the 1JZ it'll probably be be close to $7k but it'll only have 250ish hp. Keep in mind these are all estimates and educated guesses. Good luck!

1:32 I know he said the 1UZ V8 lacked horsepower, but I am also watching a video of Sean's 800whp Lexus SC400 V8. It depends on how much you put into it. I am too poor for any of this, but I am simply pointing out that the V8 SC400 is actually amazing with potential. It is the a Japanese muscle.

Which oil pump you got on the R33? I have the OEM but was thinking of getting the super tech spline drive conversion but maybe I should just get a whole new pump with the spline drive already in it? Then I believe I’d need to add a bigger sump with the high flow oil pump. Thanks man
Mine is just OEM as far as I know. Upgrading is a great idea. I'll probably do it too soon

It was a SC400, he said he wanted the I6 because of the power gain and of course the sound. He said the v8 was slow

@@KaiPonte I couldn't pass up the $1000 1JZ it cost me (easy to get parts) vs. fabricating the 1UZ custom Downpipe, manifold, etc
The 1UZ sounds way better and can also be turbo'd. Crazy you spent money to downgrade the engine lol.
