Yeah it was a little laggy but I also was just leaning into the throttle and not hitting it right away. Just because it wasn't my car and I didn't want to beat the crap out of it lol. It spooled up a bit quicker when he was driving it.
No, the sound you hear is technically compressor surge which can be bad for most turbos, however, Precision turbos are engineered to work perfectly with out BOVs.

Where do you order your parts, cause I just shipped my 1997 soarer to the states from Japan. Right now it's all stock but I wanna start looking into performance and durability upgrades before it gets here. When I was stationed in Japan I loved how smooth it drove but I definitely wanna add to it once it gets here

It's the T51R mod that gives it the flutter. The 6266 really pairs well with it it

The fuel cut thing was the same for me cause boost was set too high on the stock ecu, turned it down from 9 ish to 7 and she never did that again

It's custom titanium from the turbo back to a HKS cannonball muffler.

It is basically straight piped, just has a regular hks muffler. Some 1jz sound like that. Maybe it's the turbo manifold

It has no blow off valve, thays just air being chopped up by the turbos compressor wheel. Sounds so awesome lol

No from what I've seen, it's only a twin turbo 1G motor or the 7m. The 1JZ didn't come out until the next gen

You get it from a Toyota Soarer I do not know if it's compatible.
Yeah it's a JDM OEM sore cluster, I imagine it would work 🤔 but I don't know for sure

It actually doesn't have a BOV on it at all. What you hear is what people call compress surge but that turbo is built for that
