I grew up watching this movie. I did know about the older Godzilla movies but never watched them as a kid. I watched this one and it introduced Godzilla. I do like how Nick learns about Godzilla as an animal, not viewing him as an enemy like all of the military was. And I do honesty cry to Godzilla’s death because he was only doing what he was made to do like any other animal in the world but due to the experiments and the radiation that turned him into what he is, the enormous size and how many eggs he had along with all of the eggs his babies would have, it would destroy the world completely. And that led to Godzilla and all except one of his babies put down. It does make sense through the journey of the movie but it is still sad at the end of it. Thanks for uploading.
So this Godzilla got hit with torpedos, and didn't have a scratch. But somehow missiles launched from fighter jets killed it? It never sat right with me.
When Godzilla or Zilla got hit by the missiles and looked at Nick, Zilla finally understood that the jets killed the babies and not Nick, Audrey, Animal, and Philly.

This is my opinion about the characters of this movie, not the real-life actors themselves: The people didn't have to cheer Godzilla's death like they did. He suffered to the end, just because he was a different creature than humans. Only Nick, and possibly his three friends, weren't a-holes here (they are not seen taking pleasure in Godzilla's suffering and death), but all the other people in this scene were (regardless of age, those kids all laughed at Godzilla's painful death too). They laughed at and cheered a death, even if Godzilla was concidered a monster in their eyes, showing how utterly heartless they all were. The human characters in this movie, were the REAL monsters, not Godzilla himself. And yeah, I am fully aware that Godzilla's kind would've wiped out human kind completely. I can understand that the people wanted to live too, but if they can find pleasure in another creature's suffering and death, then they really need help. I feel sorry for Godzilla. He was just misunderstood, he didn't ask to be a mutated lizard, and he never attacked anyone until they attacked and threatened him first. And it was clearly the last straw when they murdered his young loved ones, it was then he got *really* angry, and decided to attack for real. He didn't deserve all that, and he certainly didn't deserve to die a slow and painful death like he did. At least he could be with his young loved ones after it was over, somewhere where there's lots of fish, and big, open grass areas to roam freely in, without narrow cities, and best of all, no judgemental humans. At least that's what I like to think. I like how there are real-life fans of Godzilla, though, who felt for him for being a misunderstood animal. This is the first Godzilla movie I have seen as a kid. I love this movie, but not this part.
Couldn't agree more honestly, this was the second godzilla movie I saw as a kid and I had a genuine good time, when they actually killed off the big G, even until now, I did not get a sense of victory, the way they played the death scene off went from the main 3 sympathizing with the big G's death, to suddenly everyone celebrating, overall, I had a good time with the movie, and if I were to have any gripes with it, it would probably be this scene alone.

Yeah so why does Philip want to remove some of the stuff off of the tape when animal was recording the stuff from on the camera 📷 and also how the heck did Philip get a hold of the tape in the first place
It was subtle, but early on in the film, it’s implied that it was French nuclear testing in the Polynesian islands that caused Godzilla to appear in this universe. Thus, French secret service came in to try and fix it and cover it up. Which is why Philip said early on said “I am a patriot. I love my country. But we made terrible mistakes, and we’re here to clean it up.” And as far as stealing the tape, he’s a spy, that’s not a big stretch of the imagination. It probably would have taken under a minute in the triumphant chaos to eject the tape and walk off.

Me: godzilla? Godzilla?
Nick: Kevin, he... he's gone. I'm sorry.
Me: no ! No ! Please don't die! I need you ! You are my only best friend! *Cries* godzilla!!!!
@@anjelica948I'm A Patriot Too. And I Love My Country And Yours Too. And I Understand And Also Absolutely Sure. Very Good.- Niko Tatopoulos Said To Philippe Roache.
And that’s how the animation series started
I grew with this as my first Godzilla movie 🎉music in this movie is amazing & sure it’s nothing like the originals or the modern ones but they easily could have fixed it which the ending teased & they could have done the movie just like the Godzilla animated series did which was a continuation from this I would have been seated to see what their future would have been like in this movie & the monsters Godzilla would have battled
He Became The Greatest American Worm Guy!!!!!!!!!
A short video clip off tragedy "Godzilla" is unimaginative and reality based dramatic movie in Hollywood industry.
Godzilla resembling a dinosaur in physical feature used to be found in early period of time on earth as one of the most endangered species. However, it has a negative role as monster at present century according to movie.
Thank you for your help my friend. RESPECT.

1:01 That whine still makes me so sad 😢
agreed, but on the other hand the whine sounds like a mix of Chewbacca's and Mr Bean's voice
6:00 The end of a terrible movie and the beginning of a fantastic animated series
Nah the movie is great
@@SimonPetrikov12 Well to each their own
@@SimonPetrikov12 the movie is bad, it's that obvious. Enjoyable yes but good? No
CRITIC
I have watched this movie so many times in my childhood I grew up with this movie and I always wonder after the ending why was there not a Godzilla 2
Budget problems and the film's strongly negative reception, at least the series had
I want 2nd part of this Godzilla 1998
I Want Godzilla (1998) Sequel Please
Young Godzilla (1998) Joins The Monsterverse!
Godzillas dead is so f*cking sad 😢 i feel really really sorry for him...
This scene made me cry the second time ever during a movie...
В фильме Годзилла (1998), даже эта финальная сцена, где Годзилла умирает - снято отлично, эпично и атмосферно. Режиссёр Роланд Эммерих - это гений 😎👍
Nick Tatopoulos Starts A New Division Team Called H.E.A.T.
Just Some Insurance Guy.
I swear I'm almost cried at this scene
I think it's funny how Lucy is cheering than realizes her husband is on TV that's my husband, that's my husband I'm going to kill him. It's funny when Audrey and him are escaping from the apartment he says can't let Lucy know she'll hurt me. LOL.
Lmao she didn’t want this man to put himself in danger (In which he did numerous times) in order to get good footage. She’s any wife that wants nothing to happen to her husband (my wife is the same way). I could save the world from aliens and my wife would say “Have you lost yo damn mind?” while cheering at the same time.
2nd post scene from super mario bros.
Awesome
Its was childhood memories always love it. I know Japanese hate this movie. Hollywood learn from mistake after than made movie showing Godzilla has friends to human being
