Going up means slowing down because of air resistance. Besides, I doubt the guy would have been thinking clearly, what with being chased by a skyscraper with teeth.
No, you can't. You can gain altitude, but you lose some speed in return. Rotary wing aircraft have higher performance in forward flight, but limited in climb rate. Since the godzilla already in his tail, there's no room to climb anymore. Unless if he make a dive first to gain speed & energy then climb.
What i love about this scene is that it behaves exactly like how an animal would in a situation where it's unsure of what's happening. It flees. It's the first time it gets attacked by guns and machines, and ofc as an apex predator it's probably the first time it gets attacked at all, if ever. So it chooses to flee, and assess the situation. When the helicopters chase it, it only turns around to attack once it's sure of their pattern and behaviors. A lot of movie with giant monsters just go "the mosnters get angry and fight back immediately" which is not a normal behavior in nature especially for predators.

Did the military just destroy the building where John Wick stayed? Shame on them.😢
7:05
Oh yeah, of course Zilla managed to go into the building directly behind them and launch a sneak attack without anyone noticing. Something that happens all the time, right?
He can borrow
@@SnorgYippee true, but there’s no way he could burrow away without a trace without anyone noticing.
@@BMAN-eb4jk The building that the helicopters shot
@@SnorgYippee still doesn’t explain to me how he managed to burrow away without anyone hearing or noticing him.
@@BMAN-eb4jk Well they're in loud ass helicopters in the air not looking at the ground

You have this skyscraper sized monster right in front of you and literally all of the gun fire misses. Actually that sounds about right for the US military.
Them saying they need bigger guns after missing every shot is so on script for the military.
That IS NOT how you change the New York skyline...
I'm reaching out for your prayers and healing energy. Please keep me in your thoughts.
Forgot how much of a Keystone Cops comedy this was…..
When the pilot shooting the
Wrong way of zilla zilla pretend she was there
Me facino y me gustó esta película pero ya las nuevas de Godzilla vs Kong como que no me llama la atención para mí está es la mejor. De Godzilla
Tell him to stop breaking your immersion
1:16 & 8:15 ROAR!
Poor godzilla man
Pretty sad how an animal that's been doing all he can to survive is seen as an enemy to humans. He's curious as to what people are and here they are shooting at him. He doesn't understand why he's being attacked but he sure learned pretty quickly humans are his biggest threat
The babies tho, the only reason they attacked the people is because they smelled like the fish they were eating. At first they curious and didn't bother the people until the sniffed them.

Well small rounds didn't hurt this version of Godzilla but missles did kill it in the end.

He did get bombarded with them its not like 1 missile killed him. It took like 8 in vital areas
@@SnorgYippee It was twelve missiles. Six AIM-9 Sidewinders and six AGM-84 Harpoons.
Anybody still asking what happened to Echo 3?

George Washington scene is the best.

And the blazed his fire to pretend she got bombed
You know, i think this movie could have been great if, halfway through, zilla had been caught. The military celibrate and start making plans to weaponise it (because of course they do) and all the scientists get shut out, job done we dont need you bye bye.
Next scene there dejected, looking over what littlw data they got to keep, when they realise something.
The data they get from blood tests show its lacking several chemicals present in adult reptiles. Its a baby.
Cue MASSIVE sonar ping as godzilla comes to rescue Jr.
The rest of the film is a race against time as the scientists try to break zilla out before the military really piss godzilla off.
Actually this had a planned sequel which was then canceled
In the script, it says that the military studies the dead godzilla's corpse and his last offspring takes his place as The Godzilla and fight against a giant queen bug
