  • Render time and playback can be much better if you run a simple speed check and accept the suggested combination of hardware for Neat Video. Make your denoiser work faster.

    When you adjust these gpu preferences will it update gpu settings for all nodes using neat in your entire timeline or do you have to update these preferences per individual clip?

      Hi Martin, thank you for your question. Neat Video optimizer settings are stored in Premiere Pro, and any adjustments you make for one clip will apply to all of your clips. However, if the frame size you work with changes, it's advisable to re-run the optimizer. This ensures that Neat Video can provide you with the best possible performance for the new frame size.

    Software does a great job but it's woefully slow. You really need to find a way to speed up the processing significantly. Maybe a HQ, Medium, Fast option. HQ is as now, while the others will do a less better job of cleaning up the footage but offer up greater rendering times. I'm sure there are users who might not need it at 100% & would gladly trade that little bit more noise on their end product for half the processing time etc.

    Where can you access these settings in the latest version if using as a plugin in Premiere? These options don't seem to be available? Or does the latest version use whatever is the fastest solution without the need for user intervention?

      Hey Brodie, thanks for the question! To optimize the denoiser’s settings go to Neat Video’s menu Tools > Preferences… and then to the Performance tab. For more info, please feel free to check this article: blog.neatvideo.com/post/optimum-performance

      I had the same issue using Premier but I found it. I'm guessing by now you've solved this issue. However, in case you haven't found the menu, it's easy. Once you select the clip to denoise and after you click Prepare, then clicked Build, as you know, the Neat Window appears. The Menu Bar appears on the top left of the Neat Window. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    Every time i use neat video in divinci resolve my playback stutters terrible. I have a 1660ti, ryzen 5 cpu, and 16 gb ram. I have divinci on d drive. it renders perfect just the playback is unwatchable?

    • @NeatClips
      @NeatClips  3 роки тому +1

      Good question! We are actually working on a blog article about smoother editing and particular playback in Resolve. We have already published a similar article for Premiere Pro users blog.neatvideo.com/post/pr-smooth. Even though that article targeted different application, most of the points also apply to Resolve.
      Also, keep in mind the fact that Resolve is a very resource-hungry app (Neat Video is also hungry) and Neat Video doesn't actually get much of your resources, as Resolve has to use lots for its own needs. Please check these articles on how to choose hardware and build a computer for denoising and video editing in general:
      blog.neatvideo.com/category/hardware You will also find NeatBench test results there.

    Why my latest i9 13900k can only get 6-7 frames per second for 4k video. But your PC 2 years ago can do 8 frames per second in CPU only?

    • @NeatClips
      @NeatClips  Рік тому

      Hey Kai, it's hard to say what could be the reason, without having the CPU in hands. Could you please quit all the processes in your computer and run NeatBench test - www.neatvideo.com/download/neatbench. Please make sure that the frame size is set to 3840x2160.
      When finished, please save the log and send it to our support team - support(AT)neatvideo.com

    Выбираю gpu only, и на готовом видео neat video перестает работать примерно на 4 минуте. Только cpu only работает корректно.
    Уже и neat видео обновил и видеокарта новая 3060 стоит, а ускорение нормально не работало и не работает

      Hi Jesse, thanks for the message. You should have no problem utilizing your GeForce RTX 3060. The first thing that comes to mind is updating your GPU drivers. You can check the latest NVIDIA drivers here: www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
      If that doesn't help, please send an email to support#at#neatvideo.com with GPU detection log: Tools > Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings. We'll try to find the cause of the issue. Thanks!

      Hi there, and thank you for the feedback! I will try to explain what you need to do to get better speed: while you are on the Performance tab, click Optimize Settings... > Start > Accept best combination. If your best combination includes GPU (GPU only or GPU+CPU), move the GPU memory slider a little bit to the left of the red bar. It should be enough. If you have any questions, please run the optimizer tool, make screenshots and send them to us. We will be happy to assist.

    24 core and GPU RTX 2080 TI and you still only getting around 10 frames... That's pretty bad. I've 5950X AMD and it's still bad. Why charge us £/$69 for an update when speed is barely better? Also, don't you know there's a difference between £/$ on the exchange rate! When you charge me $69 is not £69 (should be around £50), that's called theft Neat...theft.

    • @NeatClips
      @NeatClips  3 роки тому

      Hi there, what frame size are you working with? For a 4K frame and radius set to 5 frames, 10fps is somewhat expected speed. FullHD frames are processed much faster - around 45 fps (if the radius is set to 2). Here is the blog post comparing 2080Ti and 3080 with more test results - blog.neatvideo.com/post/rtx-3080
      On a separate note, have you ran Neat Video's optimizer? What mode does it suggest? CPU- only, GPU-only, CPU+GPU?
