Great tips. I learned a lot new about exporting. On the GH5 we can shoot 400 mbps, in Premiere should I set it to VBR 1 or 2 pass and set the minimum bitrate to 400 and the maximum to 400, or is it no point in doing so?
There is no point in doing so. That number only applies to how much data the camera is recording per second. When you render a video you will choose a format that will be best for the platform that you intend that video for. Such as the youtube format, it has everything set so that the video can be streamed without too much fuss. You would need to research the different kind of codecs and containers to find out which are the highest quality if you wanted to go that way.
When a camera records it records at a certain rate of data (400mbps for the GH5) basically giving you a lot of raw data to play with in an editing program. When you are rendering, you take the camera data, along with any changes made, effects added, etc, and then compress that into a single file. Most platforms require smaller file sizes in order to give the viewers the most stable, smooth, quality video playback as possible. You could go ahead and render a video into a large file size but most codecs that can do that are not readily available on your computers media player (some of them can be bought) and you will not be able to view the final video.

Super helpful bro! My render time is 2 hours for a 10 min footage because another youtuber advised to use higher than what youtube recommends in order to end up with a larger file on youtube's server after compression. My bitrate was set to VBR 1 pass at 10-25 MB/S! I guess it's only needed for fast action, but for talking heads, No Go.

Exporting to the less compressed codec like cineform (which is gpu accelerated) or AVID or even PRORes is the best tips ever. I was blow away by how much performance had I gained.

Gpu acceleration is greyed out in premiere pro 2022 and it's working in 2020 version. I have AMD RADEON R7 200 Gpu with 2Gb memory. i tried everything but not working. Kindly suggest Any solution for that.

This video has been stuck in my Premiere for weeks. I want to upload it, and I literally leave it overnight. In the morning, it's only 25% and tells me that it predicts it will take 40 more hours to export. It's a 1.7GB, 7 minute video. What the hell is going on?

i am using multicam editing and in some cases have 7 or more cameras - i export in sections, one layer at a time (videoing multiple people competing and just exporting all the views for each person in multicam,. In multicam, aren't they stacked by default? Any tips for for faster export in multicam with many cameras?
I have a reverse issue. want to export to very very low quality rendering for proofing purpose but I cannot. I have chosen Adaptive low bitrate/or other, and changed bitrate to 0.2 Mbps. but it always encodes to nearly 2 Mbps. Am I missing something?? Thanks.

Normally I would ask that you keep your hair as is. But:
1: I'm just a random subscriber. You don't have to listen to me.
2: I recently cut off my hair after letting it grow for 10 years. The short hair is much more manageable.

I dont get it , you`re telling me Media encoder allows you to export while you`re editing, so that means that if you make any changes on your video in the process , it wont be affected anyhow?
Another way to export faster is to make render slaves so that you have multipule pc's working on the same clip!
Not for Premiere Pro. The After Effects Render Queue has this capability.
I don't get it, I render 16 mins video and takes 15 mins to render and when I render like a 9 minute video it takes over 30 minutes. What is my pc or premiere pro on 😂

Hi i edited a 400 mb video and at the end it came out 4 giga why the size increased that much i only cutted some parts from the video

Tip when purchasing new hardware
If you use mostly premiere pro
- Go with a high core cpu!
- Premiere pro is multithreaded so a 16 core Threadripper will speed up your workflow a lot!
If you use After effects
- Try finding a cpu with high single core performance!
- The 8700K is a good option due to its price to performance!
If you use C4D or houdini
- Go with the threadripper 100% for the rendering and simulating of object its worth it!
Pro's of Intel
- Best single core performance on the market
Cons of Intel
- High price
- Only maximum of 2 gpu's (Due to the maximum amount of pcie lanes 16 to be exact)
- Low core count
- 4 ram slots
Cons of Amd (threadripper specificly)
- Not as high single core perfomance
- Minimum 300 euro motherboard instead of 150 euro intel (decent ones)
Pro's of Amd (threadripper specificly)
- Many cores
- 64 pcie lanes support (so you could run 8 gpu's)
- Better bang for your buck
- 8 ram slots
(note i know you have xeons that support more gpu's but thats not in the same price range)
