My main man Dan!
I have this saw here in the uk and it is easily the best mitre saw that I've ever used I did start to get a little bit sick of the weight of it so I got the 8 inch 216mm single battery dewalt flexvolt aswell for those times when I didn't need the full cutting capacity that this beast offers, I love being able to be fully cordless on site I just make sure that all of my batteries get charged when I get home of an evening and then I'm good for the next day and to think I used to hate dewalt and only use makita until they were all stolen. It's just a shame that dewalts framing and finishing nail guns are not quite up to scratch so I went for the milwauke offerings despite them being mightily expensive here in the uk. Thanks for the video TRZ!
Awesome feedback and comment bro!!!
I agree with you 100% dewalt mitre saws are great I bought a 216mm bosch and I was really disappointed with it I also have the 216mm dewalt now and it's a great saw.I also invested heavily in Milwaukee cordless tools I have the rear handle saw that I got from the USA it runs on a 12ah battery and its a beast also a 2nd fix nailer ,combi drill, rotary hammer drill ,and sabre saw all milwaukee and all brilliant
I love my Dewalt flexvolt miter saw. I bought the Milwaukee 12in miter saw had it for 1 day and took it back and got the dewalt. Being able to plug it in is great. Although I use it mostly cordless I have the option to plug it in anytime. Great review!
I’m a Milwaukee fan. Got the Fuel compound miter and I love it. To each his own
Milwaukee!!
not nocking your choice i use to repair Milwaukee and the parts came from the same manufacture as ryobi and the internal parts are very similar to ryobi ridgid internals
@@cj599 how are Makita?
@@Gsxrtrix pretty dang great in my opinion makita dewalt are my top two
@@cj599 cool thanks. I was about to get a Makita set then I get pushed by Milwaukee by store associate a HD. Really like what I see on DeWalt and Makita both. I’m DIY but I try to buy good stuff so I don’t have to buy it again
I have the dewalt 12 inch compound miter saw and love it, also have the dewalt stand that works great, but you're right it is a little bit heavy especially up or down stairs.
It is heavy but thankfully here in the uk they have an 216mm/8 inch single battery flexvolt mitre saw for when you don't need that full cutting capacity. All of the twelve inch cordless mitre saws are damn heavy though.
I tried to get that DeWalt saw but the Milwaukee was easier to get. So far the Milwaukee 12" saw has been great.
Yeah, definitely an awesome saw from Milwaukee Dale👊
I have the 10" fuel and absolutely love it. I'm sure the dewalt has more power but the 10" will cut 4x4 treated like it's nothing so I'm not losing any sleep over it. Also, the stops and locks on the Milwaukee are far superior to the Dewalt as mentioned. Not to mention it's 10-15lbs lighter. As a disclaimer: all of my power tools are 20/60v Dewalt except for the 10" Milwaukee miter saw. (I got an unbelievable deal on it)
I love the adjustments on the 10 inch. I wish they would have carried them over to the 12 inch
I bought it when it first came out and I am still rocking it REAL NICE LIKE!!!!!!!
Haha, awesome 👊👊👊
I have always loved the Dewalt 12” miter saws. Beastly!

Dan the Man!!!!
@@konamanstudio2447 hi!
I got a felxvolt miter saw about 1year ago it's the best! Hands down
I have had this for a year now! And still running strong! Ssmmeesshhh that like button!!
Thanks for the comment and SMEEESH Eric!!!!
Thanks for your videos! Love this saw. I was surprised at how dialed in it was out of the box.
Thanks for the comment and feedback James!!!!!
Take it from a Milwaukee/ Festool guy! The versatility of this saw, XPS. battery or AC, against the fence cut capacity, nested cut capacity, the ability to use crown stops, etc, etc..... By far the undisputed king of miter saws.. My Dewalt miter and tablesaw will forever have a home in the trailer next to my Packout. Excellent vid, Subbed!
Yeah buddy...welcome to the channel!!!!!!
I’m a Milwaukee guy, but I’m not gonna lie...that’s real nice like! You’re a beast cuz!!! Thanks for the vid 👍
Haha, thanks Kevin!
Super excited about the new model coming
What made you change your mind from Milwaukee to dewalt. I remember watching a video from 8 months ago saying you prefer red over yellow.
Pretty hard to beet the bosch chop saw because of the features of the saw all being up front instead of reaching around back for the back miter. Only good thing about the dewalt is the battery power thats about it. But dewalt makes good tools as well I just hate reaching around.
Dewalt makes some great saws
Heck yeah buddy 👊👊👊👊

@@konamanstudio2447 hi!
Hello Mr. Rice!
@@amoscardoza5253 AMOS how are you Sir?
Definitely a big fan of the hybrid tools. Im still rocking a 12inch corded Craftsman Professional dual bevel sliding miter saw. Never noticed that difference between corded and battery thats interesting good catch
Yeah Don, as soon as you pull the trigger notice it. Same on table saws. Just sooooo smooooth!
@@ToolReviewZone thats alot of power going to the dewalt with the 2 60v battery's id like to see the cost of the 2 battery's and the saw for dewalt vs the Milwaukee and 1 m18 12.0
🍻🍺
@@konamanstudio2447 hi!
WHATS GOOD General!!!
All I know is when it comes to do crown molding above kitchen cabinets and you have multiple pieces sometimes up to 4 that's why some people put lights above the cabinets and you leave a little bit of a space from the ceiling and those Cuts have to be tight but when my father does molding above cabinets he always cuts the molding upside down and gets better kind of cuts that way
That's how I cut it too brother. I also have a cool tool that I'm bringing to the channel that helps give perfect cuts every time👊
@@ToolReviewZone I would like to see that tool you hook it up to your miter saw and as you roll the wood under the gauge adds up and I guess it automatically counts for you instead of using a tape measure it's a digital gauge I like to see how that get hooked up and works
I had to send that back. Kinds of a bummer cause I liked it
@@ToolReviewZone yr the best brother 😎👊✌🇺🇸
I agree I love mine it was super dialed in straight out the box and it performs amazing as well as Has more power when you use the new gen 2 flexolt batteries with the 21700 cells.. Clint @ToolReviewZone
Sad thing is Milwaukee can make an AC/DC wall power source without making a new saw they already have the design they just have to listen to use and make the adapter and boom would be epic @ToolReviewZone
At 8:11 your real nassss like, was real asss like! oops...lol. Love the reviews brother!!!!!
Hahaha, yesh... someone else pointed that out too lol. Thabksbfor the comment brother 👊
got this saw when it came out. invested in the 60 volt 12AH and totally worth the investment. saw is an absolute beast.
What about the cordless version of the 12 inch sliding Bosch miter saw?
I don't think it's available in North America 😕 Looks cool, but released in Europe only so far
What is the side to side measurement? What is the front to back measurement when it is slide all the way back? What is the height measurement when it is in cutting mode and not locked in placed? Looking to build out my trailer and want to make sure I compensate for those measurements as I plan on getting this saw in the future. Great videos!
THE Tank of all miter saws
The saying goes... When in doubt, default to DeWalt! This saw and video are real nice like!
Haha👊
I like the bevel lock knob and being tall with long arms it's no problem for me.
I love having the option of having both battery and ac/dc plug this goes also for the metabo hpt 36v table saw love having both option of battery and ac/dc power
I wanted this one and I was fixing to pull the trigger but then I heard dewalt was coming out with a predecessor to this miter and it’s the dcs781 which I’m fixing to get
Yeah! Iam standing in the shop for the manman saw with the biggest brands...My thumb get stuck with the protection shield...and over there stands the Royobi. They have fixed that problem as with Festool
I love my Sexy flexy Dewalt saw. The best saw i have owned.
Perfect for me. Heavy yes but cut so nice.
Dang I narrowed it down to the Milwaukee or the Makita. Now you’ve thrown a wrench in
Lol, sorry Anthony 🤣
Yo, the DeWalt blew me away. Sold my Milwaukee two weeks after I got the DeWalt.
I thought with the build up you were going to say the ultimate best miter saw was the 'TRZ Armstrong Miter Saw' and start loaning yourself out. And that the second best saw would be whatever you reviewed. Lol. Great saw review!
Haha, damn.... I need to hire you as a video consultant A B hahaha 👊
Wait, I gotta go grab a beer.... OK 🍻
Grab me one bro!
Really diggin ur introduction, some Sally’s would NOT pound their 250$ battery in but it’s effective. Also notice you’re like me, I see some Ryobi, Milwaukee, Rigid maybe some Hitachi. Lol. WE BOTH KNOW DeWalt is decent but there are other brands. Hehehehe
Yeah buddy 👊
That thing is a beast
Its pretty freaking awesome Michael 👊👊👊👊
All of the major manufacturers should be doing hybrid battery/plug. Hitachi was doing it year later ago. Even my ryobi flood light is hybrid.
Outstanding review sir!
That’s very nice but 800$ is very painful sight, I don’t know I can recover with that price
How do you feel this compares to the Metabo multivolt 10" miter? A video comparison would be great because they have the same hybrid system
But does cutting one piece of wood a day qualify as a day's work I have to leave this one up to the judges LOL👍👊🇺🇸
Haha, damn right brother 👊
I usually just push the button in so my wife thinks I'm busy. Really I'm just fooling around drinking a beer
is this saw discontinued. I see the 60v DCS781X1 available but not the 120V DHS790AT2
Wish dewalt would do this for their cordless table saw
Agreed 👊
Maybe they’re next gen will fingers crossed. Their table saw has been out for awhile
Hopefully they realise what they the people want
Why is this no longer sold in stores?
I agree seems more power with batteries compared to battery noticed this as well there is no buzzing with batteries over plug also @ToolReviewZone
I am a Milwaukee guy. However DeWalt makes the absolute best miter saw and table saw... hands down. The rest of their tools I will pass on.
Same here , its not even close. I wish dewalt would come out with a 10 inch cordless version.
I'm hoping they update the 7-1/4 to Brushless 20V or 60V. This is a great saw but it's way too big for my needs.
Google the dewalt dcs 777 it is an 8inch flexvolt single battery mitre saw that still has a cutting capacity of around 12 inches,it may be a Europe only release but you could get one shipped to the states.
I am already on the fuel platform and here in Puerto Rico battery powered tools are a must, because the electric grid is fishy and can't be trusted. Maybe they throw a flash sale on father's day. Every contractor and diy guy should subscribe and hit that bell because this channel is a great help to make a decision on tools investment
Great video.👍👍💯💯
Thanks brother 👊👊👊
I own this and I feel the same way you do
How long does those batteries last?
My father in-laws just burned up after a couple years of light use
Update he emailed DEWALT and is getting it serviced by them, should be in the mail soon he’s happy with the service so far, on the other hand he’s a bit disappointed in the tool as in its longevity
Thanks for the update Keith!!!
Mine is at a dewalt repair shop at the moment. It shot a foot long flame out of the motor and died.
You are a man and of course your the man😎👊brother superman runs from you💪
Hahaha, your the man Joseph 👊👊👊
I havent had access to my channel for almost 2 years. I had to get it back in honor of the 100k countdown. Contacted someone from google to track the history of the account and retrieve it. 100k is coming TRZ.
Hahaha, glad to have you back brother 👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone good to be back man. No more being a guest.
Aren’t they having motor trouble? Maybe the single battery 781 is a step up?
What do you think of the skilsaw spt88-01 miter saw?
I agree wish more saws would do the bevel design like the Milwaukee 10 inch saw but I also at the same time disagree old school functionality is just old faithful to me just true design that just works and works well Clint @ToolReviewZone
Apparently you didn't use the makita 40v
I think I screwed up. I felt like I had to go with something I could more easily carry by myself. I have a disability now, and I really have to factor it in when I'm making these decisions. So, I have a Ryobi 10." I hate that it's single bevel, but I can carry it. The thing is that I'm setting up a little shop, and I don't see needing to carry it once it's in place. I'm not planning on doing work away from home. I have to set it up each time I use it right now, but that's just temporary. But maybe down the road, I can get the Dewalt.
Especially since you said it was a man's saw, because no you didn't. :p
Reel narce lark!
dewalt need to make a portable 7.25/10" version of this thing with lighter weight
How many times does this bloke say super 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️
Super!
I don't think it's really buzzying I feel it's it's fully engaging with power consumption. Is thier an amp difference between the battery or plug?
Yeah, sorry to disagree, but I feel you got it backwards. Comparable performance and only need one battery. If the FV batteries are charged 25% on one, and the other at 100%.... you have 25%. With the Milwaukee, you just double the amount of cuts with 2 batteries. Also,no crutch with a wall power adapter.
Either way, still love your videos! (Even if you were wrong on this one)
I love my sexy flexi DeWalt mitre saw it's awesome
Thanks for the feedback Peter!!!!!
@@ToolReviewZone No worries keep up the great tool reviews I love watching them
8:12 into the video it says REAL ASSSS LIKE!?!?
Haha, and that too!
Have you tried comparing it to a Delta Cruzer miter saw?
Yo TRZ! I've never tried that saw, so let's say you send it over and let me feel what you feel!
Famous Amos!!!!! I'm going to mail it out right now.....I just hope it doesn't get lost in da mail 🤔
@@ToolReviewZone You could just throw it in your truck and drive it me. By the way i.just moved to western Mongolia so it should only take a couple of hours. Thanks bro, you da man!
Milwaukee 👑
I just saw your video that you said you prefer the Milwaukee over this saw in a head to head comparison. 😂
After using them for a while, its changed. The Dewalt is really just a powerhouse. That said, the Milwaukee is right there
I’m trying to figure out why this guy did a side by side comparison against the Milwaukee 3 yrs ago and said the Milwaukee was the best and now he says Dewalt. What changed?
Best one ever made was the hitachi c10fsh
That ain't happening Clint. Not with my Royal Blooded Milwaukee
And thats real naaaaaaaaas like
Haha, you know it jojo👊
That's real nasss like!💪🏼✊🏽
Smeesh that like button. 👀👉🏽 👍🏽
Haha, thanks for the SMEEESH Jason!!!!
BABILA!!!!!
Famous Amos!!!
i'm sorry but kapex 120 is far more precise and have better dust collection. dewalt miters are nice if you want to go cheap route and fumble rumble with setting perfect angles
love my dewalt power tools. but I will stick with cords. except for my two hammer drills. Batteries are expensive, and pollute the planet when they are useless. a good 12g 50 ft cord lasts years and are still fairly cheap
I’d like to buy that miter saw, and also the battery powered tablesaw from Dewalt. The cord option makes all the difference for me, Milwaukee makes good tools but they completely cut the cord and I would like to have the option to go corded
Yeah Greg, a lot if people still like that cord
Every tool that I own from screw guns to tape measures to the packout system everything I have is Milwaukee except when it comes to the table saw and chop box let me say this correctly miter saw because I got on another tool Channel the Milwaukee Sawzall and then you have the smaller Milwaukee saw I call it a ripsaw and this person lost his mind telling me I don't know anything about tools there's no such thing as a ripsaw LOL so I told him everybody has names or abbreviations for tools technically it's a reciprocating saw that's why I get rip saw I couldn't do what you do dealing with idiots but when it comes to the most powerful dangerous tools on the job I go with DeWalt they make the best I wish Milwaukee would make a battery and cord combo because these tools should be at full power at all time just because I'm how fast it will pull your finger into the blade or how fast you will have a kickback on a table saw which I don't know if you remember in shop class when they have a two-by-four going through a cinder block wall but I don't think I could ever use anything else can't wait to watch the video brother
Awesome comment and feedback brother
The buzzing comes from AC. The batteries are DC
Idk man delta makes pretty good stuff
Mine worked fine until I decided to get the power adapter...as soon as it was used on mains it blew up ?... DeWalt are not interested in this common fault... I say 'common fault'... because when I did some research into the forum's online it looked like MANY MANY MANY others had also suffered this very same 'RING OF DEATH' problem and like me, DeWalt told them to DO ONE ! also. - Shame on you DeWalt.. I must have £20k of your gear in my workshop - I expect better customer service.
REAL NICE LIKE !!
Hahahaha, yeah buddy!!!!!
Keep it up buddy. From UK 👍
To be fair not a battery saw but festool is better
I'm on an emotional rollercoaster here. I banished Dewalt from my life, and now you're review is making me second guess myself. 😬
Lmao, man....sorry E30 😆
one year later ...
DeWalt is a good product. Seems like a good saw. But I'd buy the milwaukee. All my milwaukee tools last. All my DeWalt tools don't last much longer than warranty. My DeWalt tools never last long. Although I still have a DeWalt drill that works awesome. But that drill is from before DeWalt teamed up with Black n Decker
Thanks for the feedback George
