Just removed a several years old water stain from the table my grandfather built, which was making me very sad! The iron method works on old stains as well as new! Thanks for the video 😁😁
Thank you from the beautiful island of Barbados... they don't call this UA-cam University for nothing lol... you learn something new every day.. thank you it actually really works
This is AMAZING and it works! Just listened to your instructions and immediately went to try it on my table. I am blown away - the water mark is completely gone. OMG!! I've been sick about that stain - Thank you so much for your posting!!! IT IS COMPLETELY GONE. I'm ecstatic!!
We had two huge water marks on our beautiful dinning room table. We used the iron and cloth to get 95% of the mark out. I used a damp cloth, toothpaste and cloth to buffer the rest of it out. We dodged a bullet and very blessed to have got 100% of the water mark out. Thank you so much for making this video!
Used the iron method and it worked great !! I only used a thin tea towel, but you have to be prepared to heat the area pretty substantially. But persevere, keep the iron on a hot setting and keep it moving, keep checking as you do. You can leave the iron to sit for 30secs at a time, but keep at it, removed some massive stains that had been there for years 👍🏼
I never leave a comment, but if you left a water stain (in my case form hot water) on a table, this absolutely works! The stain is completely gone. I was afraid of ruining my friends very expensive table, and it is gone now!!! So grateful for this tip
Thank you so much. I had huge stains on my $5,000 dining room table after someone spilled bourbon all over it. The iron worked so well. You are a life save
OMG! This totally saved my table!!! We've only had it about a month and I already had a stain on it. Your advice on using a cotton cloth and the cotton setting on the iron were perfect. For me, it worked on a tablespoon-sized stain on a dark table with only two passes of about 15 seconds each. Thank you!
I'm staying at an Air BnB in Myrtle Beach, I actually got several water stains on a wood dresser from ironing with a steam iron, when I was done and removed the towel, I dammm, these stains, the toothpaste and salt paste worked very little but the dry iron and towel with direct pressure, not moving side to side worked perfectly, it actually looked better than when I started , thank u much for the tip
it worked! I just got a vintage table a few weeks ago. It had a light water circle stain but not terrible... but then I made another one with a hot mug which was very visible. I was so upset... I ironed it as shown and its like magic. Very impressed with how well it worked taking out the spots. Thanks for helping save my table!
This works! Teapot stain on an antique dresser. Took about 40 minutes of perseverance and not letting it get too hot. Just used a single layer old white pillowcase and iron on highest setting 👍
I used white dishcloth folded in half and dry iron. Moved the iron back and forth; checked if there still some stain, I did, waited, until table was cooled off, did the process again and done! It really works!!👍👍👍. Thank you, thank you 👍😊😊😊
This works! I had a huge water ring stain on a wood floor left from a leaky 5 gallon water jug. Took about 45 minutes to remove the stain. Thanks so much!

The iron method works! Just did this on a coffee table with water haze over easily 2/3 of the table surface - I thought the table was destined to be consigned to upstairs when the covering used to protect the table from wintering plants failed. Now I can't tell where the haze was - I don't think even my mother could tell there had been a problem. Thank you so much for this video!
This absolutely does work! I had a water stain on the top of an antique ice box. Followed her directions for the Iron Technique and it worked beautifully!!! Thanks for the tip!
Absolutely awesome! I have a beautiful oak table bought recycled so beautiful. Removed the stubborn water mark with the iron and a piece of flannel cloth, worked like a dream.
I was skeptical, even after watching the video. Not like I thought the video was fake but more like "watch this water stain, and or this wood, be a different kind and so it won't work for me" kind of skeptical. Stain had been there for soooo long that I couldn't remember what caused it or if it was even water. This worked completely for me. My mind is blown. I am 100% happy with the results, but just as a heads up, *this may leave the spots you treated a little rough to the touch when compared to the rest of the wooden table or whatever.*
Thank you so much for your tip I moved cross country and my nice dinning table got water damage stain on I tried to remove it with bleach, toothpaste vinegar and warm water didn’t work I decided to take it to someone to fix it I’m glad I checked on UA-cam and watched your amazing video thank you so much wish you all the best.🌹
This absolutely works! Did it on my 2 old end tables. The one was really bad! Held with pressure. Kept wash cloth on iron while moving it n pressing it. Worked perfectly! Thanks for this! I knew about it but never tried it cuz blow drier never worked for me. Wish I could share the before n after on here
Great video. I used the iron technique with a tshirt not folded. Instead of moving the iron back and forth, I just left it on top of the spot for about a minute or two. All of the spots were removed! Thanks for this tip! 👍🏼
I used this method today on my daughter's coffee table- several saucer sized marks where she's either eaten dinner or placed hot trays during parties. I'd just about given up when I adjusted the iron fully to "cotton" setting and made myself leave the iron in place 10-15 seconds- it feels weird to do but it's necessary. I had the chance to move the iron to different areas to let the hot wood cool since there were so many. Once it started working I was like " you can't be serious...this is awesome!" Lol. She's going to be blown away when she sees her restored table- thank you!
Thank you! I had a dark kitchen table with a nasty water ring and we tried everything until I saw this video. Did this with a cotton T shirt, stain was 100% gone in less than a minute!
I just did this on marks from an inexpensive stained pine coffee table, that were over 7 yrs old. I just took my time, with time in between applications of heat and it worked AMAZINGLY!! I used an old black cotton t-shirt. It worked best with 2 folds but best to start slow. Started with 4 layers of cloth but found i could use 2 and turn up heat on iron. Slow and steady! I'll let it cool and use some orange oil to shine it up!!
It worked. I tried a hairdyer and also mayonaise, but nothing worked until I used the iron as she said with a cotton cloth. Thank you so much...now if I can just convince someone else to NOT set a glass on the unprotected table.🤨
This is amazing. My husbands sleep apnea machine white marked the night table. Iron technique it is completely gone. I just can't believe it. Thank you so much.
Thank you soooo soooo much!! I recently am staying in a hotel and def got a ring on the end table, between the glass and wood! This is something I KNOW I'd get charged for damages to the room!! Thank God for this video! I was freaking out!!! Thanks for posting!! Iron method all the way! !
It didn't make much of a difference for me at first, moving the iron around constantly. It only worked for me when I let the iron sit for a bit on top of a dish towel, like several seconds. Worked like a charm. Really ugly, nearly white water stains were gone in a matter of minutes from my dark wood table. If it does not work right away, try and let the iron sit on the stain without moving it around. That worked for me.
Silly me, I put a paper plate on my dining room table that had just come out of the microwave. The steam/water stain was really bad. I followed these instructions and remembered "slow and steady wins". It eventually worked but it took more than an hour. I was willing to spend the time to keep trying to see if it would work because I really didn't want to have to look at that white stain everyday for the rest of my life! So glad I didn't give up!
I tried it last night! IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!!!!! PLEASE TRY IF YOU NEED IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT. The secret is to keep the iron moving, and if you just leave it on the spot, is gonna actually create another stain if you don't keep moving the iron.
I have just tried this on an old teak sideboard with a large white water stain on it. I was very sceptical but my god it worked I then used a very good beeswax furniture polish it looks like new thank you so much
Have to thank you, had 3 stains.... tried many different things, nothing worked until I saw and tried your trick... guess what, it worked great. Thanks....
The clothes iron method worked well for me. I don't know if there are any cases when the toothpaste works, maybe that should be cut out. The same goes for vinegar, baking soda, oils, and other things that seem to be mumbo jumbo. Just try the iron. My thoughts on the steam vs. no steam issue is that steam is ok. It just serves to transfer the heat to the table more efficiently. I don't think the steam will penetrate the wood so long as the iron heats it to evaporation immediately. Patience is probably a good idea so you don't burn the wood.
works on wood floors! we had an apple juice stain on our hard wood floor left overnite. white blotch was left. used the same method and it came out!!! amazing.
Another technique that works beautifully is using a crafter's heat gun (niche I know, but you might have one) it heats the wood like an iron would but without the risk of overheating as you can see the stain disappear and you won't risk melting the finish and sticking it to a cloth. Worked really well for me.
The iron method worked great! No mess and very fast. I watched several other videos and tried various solutions - none of them worked. The iron method was the only one that even came close to working - and all of my water marks are gone in under 10 minutes.

@@xFriday930x I move it in small circles in one small area. Do it for 30 seconds, and then check it. If the stain is still there, try again for 40 seconds, and so on and so forth.
