    I get angry when Nigerians keeps comparing and complaining about our kenyan food, we aren't Nigerians so don't expect to find eating Nigerian food when we are kenyan. Every country has got its own cultural food. Give us a break. We feel disappointed don't complain about our food all the time

    • @GbogboSwagger

      I think you missed her point, we were talking about cultural shock and the culture of the people amongst other things, it is her first time and she shared how she felt, she never looked down on your food or said it was bad. When you travel to other countries apart from Kenya, I'm sure you will be shocked at some other cultural differences even food.

    Ugali and beans, your friend was poor and broke, Kenya is tourist destination, we offer world class services depending on your wallet, hotel and hospitality industry is our niche, we compete equally with Dubai and South Africa or Italy, world class hotels and services are found within our borders, your friend could have gone to villa Rosa Kempisky or Hemingways, soo many international restaurants around Karen, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, French, Turkish, Iranians, Spanish but he went to some cheap places I don't know where they served him with ugali and beans, mama we are kenyans and we know our country more than you do..

    • @GbogboSwagger
      @GbogboSwagger  Рік тому

      Tourism cuts across differently, some people focus on the history of the country, some monuments, some culture, some luxury site, some mix with the locals to experience their lifestyle, it doesn't negate the experience of the people depending on why they decided to travel to Kenya or any other country. Calling the person broke is not too good, my experience is my experience, your experience is your experience and it doesn't make one superior than the other, diversity is what makes life beautiful.

      @@GbogboSwagger we are tired of bad publicity about our country, you make your final conclusions about a country of 47 million people based on one man's opinion.. Very wrong, when a Nigerian comes to Kenya does she or he expects to find kenyans eating Nigerian foods?? My point is doing criticize peoples cultural foods no matter what!!

    Sukuma wiki means "push the week". The reason for this name is the kales came in handy when the family is broke coz it's cheaper and abundance. So it was used to push the family through the few last days of the month before the salary comes in hence the name sukuma wiki.

    A house that's costs 20k per month is standard house depending on where is located, that can be a one bedroom in Lovington or a bedsitter in kilimani are areas or other middle class areas, outskirts of Nairobi you can get a 3 bedroom with security with the same amount, I don't know why Nigerias take pride in devaluing other African countries, your point is 20k house is too substandard for a Nigerian to come and live in, let me assume all Nigerians are super rich, but again why do have soo many Nigerians in places like roysambu, they are all over rongai in 1 bedrooms and bedsitter that goes between 8k to 13k? No place in Kenya right now that you won't find a Nigerian. Karen where you live is very expensive. Don't drug us down mum.

    The lady has lived in Kenya for 10 yrs but unfortunately she knows so little about this Country. She didn't talk about our infrastructure, our roads ,even in the slums are good. She didn't mention that our internet is very fast. She never mentioned that we don't use plastic paper bags here.
    I felt like she mostly dwelt on the negatives than positives , it's like she doesn't want her Countrymen to visit this country. She said that before you pack your bags and relocate to Kenya, you need to think really hard. Interestingly quite a number have relocated and they are doing much better than they used to do back in Nigeria.
    For housing, it seems that she's so green. There are places in Nairobi that people pay 20k and they get value for their money. There are places where they have washing machines in the apartments such that you don't have to look for Mama fuas. I think that before one goes online to talk about a Country, they should do their research first .
