@@GinaZara1.. Honestly,,this is more of Nairobi..It's a big city and everyone is weary of each other/ppl looking for money.Kenya is 30% urbanized. The rest of the population still live in rural areas and are very much communal..In this country, Nairobi is a bit isolated culturally for the most part..Love. the video though ❤

When I left my country Kenya it took me a very long time to stop comparing the Kenyan shilling against where I stay now. It took me time because I use to look at the cost of things and then try to convert the cost of the item in Kenyan shillings and I always found everything expensive. I nolonger do that thou.

My dear, i always tell you the truth:
Get out of the "culture shock" videos. Every Nigerian is doing them wnd they are now too boring i don't watch them anymore. Even Nigerians who haven't been to Kenya are doing them. You've been here a year now and you should have gotten out of that visitor/new mindset.
Second, i will once again make reference to Wode Maya. Wode has never done these comparison videos because wherever he goes, he gels with the local community and culture. He doesn't have that mindset of "I am Ghanaian and they are Kenyans". He integrates woth thr locals instantly and fits in so there's nothing like doing a video of how different they are from you. Instead, he looks for similarities and makes effort to fit into the local vibe.
Way forward? Start doing videos of you doing Kenyan things, with Kenyan people, in Kenyan places. Go to Kenyan events and show your people what life is like here first hand. Your audience wants to learn what life is like in Kenya, not seeing how you are keeping to yourself and restricting your circle to fellow Nigerians.
    Good luck!

I think the reason you're saying living in Kenya is expensive compared to Nigeria is because of the currency exchange. The shilling is stronger the Nira and maybe your still comparing the cost in Kenya in relation to Nigeria.

In short, if employed or having access to funds Kenya is the best place to be. Your friend is bored because she hasnt found her purpose yet or something that keeps her busy. I am really impressed that she loves going to her husband's village. Soon enough she will find stuff to engage most of her time.
    Karibu Kenya.
I agree that Kenyan traditional cuisine may be limited compared to Nigerian.
Its always ugali, rice or chapati but there's is also potatoes, bananas, plantain, cassava, arrow roits, millet, sorghum, wheat etc for starch. Veges are mostly kale, cabbages, collards and traditional vegetables.
Meats are beef, mutton, chicken, fish and pork. There are a number of condiments and spices but generally food tastes bland as Kenyans arent so much into seasoning and prefer to enjoy a fresh-like taste of food. There are lots of fruits though.

    • @GinaZara1
