Thing I love about this interview is the fact that Eminem is genuinely intrigued by Mike and so he actually interviews him as well. Mike says a lot of interesting things because Em kinda draws it out of him (i.e., revealing that he didn't have a girl when he was boxing-obsessed and the explanations of his accuracy over his punching power). Good shit. Two of my favorites in their own ways come together here.
still waiting for 1 interesting thing he said the entire podcast.. mike has hundreds of interesting things to talk about.. eminem... zero.@@stevenconnors9198
This is one of the best interviews between super stars I’ve ever seen. I think it’s because of the respect and admiration they have for each other and absence of ego
Absence of ego is the biggest thing I think. It seems like when some people reach a certain age they realise what really does and doesn’t matter in this life
Absence of ego is definitely present but it's also cool to think of who they both are in their respected camps. Almost like two titans coming to a sit down and chopping it up. Legendary moment in our time
I like how Eminem gives tyson a lot of respect and he opened up to him and talked like I've never seen him talk before its cool as he'll he feels like he's at home
Mike put this episode because it has a lot of value listen to em and Mike talk about not being good enough and dealing with mental issues even the goats go through normal human stuff. These are major real influencers for anybody trying to be a boxer, rapper , athlete or successful at one time you put Eminem on your playlist and watch Mike knock out dudes and tear someone up in a interview just to catch a savage vibe. 2 killers right here bars on beat and Mike in the ring making heartbeats and fear come to live
This was great, two GOATs showing such humility, respect and appreciation for one another. They know they both came from similar humble beginnings and had to grind hard to reach the top of their respective crafts. Very inspiring!
I love how they have to stop em and tell him your fucking eminem dude. Bof of the guys are the absolute greatest man love this interaction between two of the best actual influences.
not enough credit bein given to the dudes in the back for really taking the backseat and letting these two talk. too many damn cohosts be getting too god damn chatty and tryna jump in when we are not here to listen to them do that. hella respect, genuinely
This was one of my favorite interviews. Mike was so sweet you can feel the love and respect which put Marshall at ease. He has such a sadness to him. Absolutely amazing conversations.
Marshall struggling to understand tyson, but also trying to be respectful and make it look like he's not struggling to understand him 😂😂 Absolutely love this man ❤❤❤❤
Fuck me please bless us with a sequel of one of the best boxers and rappers ever to bless us with their entertainment. Thank you to both for doing so by the way ☺️
Man I mfkn LOVED hearing these 2 right here talk man and how much they can relate to one another.. Everyone thinks Eminem is just an ass but hes really a down to earth guy an nice. . Def two of the best men out there ever, thank you for the video..
I respect that they were feeding off each other back and forth and that it wasn't one sided. Definitely was interesting just was so humble of Em to not correct Mike but hey we all get old man. Much love to you both...peace love empathy
The greatest Pugilist specialist & the Greatest Lyricist Specialist both in same room.. Biggest Respect to yoo’ll. & what an Amazing next Chapter with The Coaching Cus D’Amato Style . Congratulations !
Mike and Eminem both have equally inspired me to fight for what I believe in. I made a video about it on my channel. But the point is, we never know how far reaching our impact is on others. We never know who we can inspire through our words and actions. I want to use my platform to help others get clean and sober like I had to, like Eminem did, like Mike did. These are great men, who show that despite terrible life circumstances in childhood like I also had. We can overcome all obstacles. For anyone out there like me, who has ever been homeless, evicted, addicted, abused, neglected, rejected, abandoned, and scorned, us lepers of society no one wishes to look at. You are who I am fighting for. Because I was one of those people. “For who is like God” - Mikal
Part 2 please !! Awesome episode love the content !! Two of the greatest of all time together can’t get no better than this !!! Thanks Mike good luck for Friday night I’ll be watching !!
Mike Tyson is the true genius here. Thank you my brother God bless you and your family and everything that you ever touch because you’re amazing. I heard every word that you said and it was perfect. You are the shit.
I forgot Mike gave Em the origins of hip hop from his perspective and early experience as a criminal, robber, killer etc. This gen of hip hop totally would've been Food back then 😂
He said at the beginning they’re on hiatus so they just wanted to fill the gap. Not like he cluelessly was giving us a custom replay button cause he thinks UA-cam works like TV lmao
That was fun to watch, thank you. Look at these two all excited to meet each other. That’s good stuff. 💜 There’s a thing though when Marshall mentions having an 8th grade education.. it’s like.. most of the things taught in high school aren’t really geared towards life applicable “independent living” for teens. Things like filing taxes, applying for jobs, basic vehicle/ home maintenance, banking, “home economic” skills, growing food or shopping things.. it’s like.. what does a high school diploma really mean these days? My oldest daughter struggles because she is more of a hands on learner and the standardized systems aren’t doing a dang thing for her. I have both of my kids telling me they want to drop out.. and I almost don’t care.. we get to our “calling” in life regardless.. I’m learning.. 💜
Love the way Mike explains casing a joint and paying great attention to eyeing up people to rob and that was what hip hop was about, going out to have a good time, and then afterwards be a criminal and robbing and pillaging 😂
Going to some of these school events you need to print up a sign that says check your bullshit at the door today. If you don’t like the sign, you may inquire with the office within.😂
"Mike is so old he doesn't understand that we can re-watch old videos" My guess is these are being re-run to stay relevant in the algorithm. I find it hard to believe that Mike and his team would do this simply because they didn't know any better
This interview literally brought Mike out of retirement :D I am sure, you can see Mike was on the fence about fighting, but Meating a true fan brought the spark back :D
2nd x listening. This round, I hear Marshall's love for his boy Proof. Tears surfaced. Love this session with Iron Mike and Eminem. Both with humble beginnings, courage and grit to propel themselves (with the help of others) to the top of their crafts. RESPECT ❤💯💥 Two tko's
When you have a strong inner circle around you, it’s not hard to raise kids. It’s the chaos that comes with some of them and they’re called defunct parents.
The crazy thing about growing up poor is that Em and the Champ talking about evictions is absolutely spot on and reminds me that people who grew up middle-class have no concept of how fucked up is the eviction process. When I was a kid, we used to just break people's shit right in front of them after the landlord's crew put it all out in the front. Think free yard sale that you can also destroy; it was brutal - I feel bad about it now (obviously) but I was around 12 years old and life had always been rough.
First time Em is talkative and in awe of someone else besides Dre and 50...he even got emotional when he talked about his story...wow also amazing to hear that this was 4 years ago and Mike wasn't feeling getting back in the ring and now he is going to fight again 😂
Damn, Em is so humble he went from being interviewed to interviewing Mike. You can see the respect, and how uncomfortable he is, getting his flowers. But, damn Mike - 8 Mile- lol 😂 There better be a Part Two, after you knock out the fucking UA-camr 😆
I love that Eminem and Mike are good friends.
If Mike Tyson says watch this rerun, you watch the rerun.
Or else...🥊
Yep you right , gettin the joint rolled up now
