Well, you saved the day! Now, our battery went dead but it was default on "open" lock and would not lock. So we finally looked at each other and said how silly are we to have a safe and not locked? Changed battery --super simple. We got hung up on the "instruction book" doing everything you said to do, but did not realized their step of "1 2 3 4 5 6" was a combo (or previous combo/factory default). Ours already had another combo from Tractor Supply, we put in our combo/TS and worked exactly like it was supposed to. Now we finally have OUR combo after a year lol. Great video. I knew we were missing something. [Instruction book should say current combo and not assume it's never been changed before.] 😎😎
Excellent directions. Thank you. Once again, the manual that comes with a product is woefully inadequate. There is no mention in it about making sure the door handle is back in the closed position before resetting the combo code. It only says "with the door open, proceed to.." etc. So, once again, thank God for UA-cam, and excellent instructors like Dye.
Thank you for the tutorial. It worked first try. The You Tube tutorial put on by SecuRam Sys. Was confusing and did not work. The KEY phrase that you spoke was: if you hear 3 beeps start all over. Much more simple than the SecureRam video. Thanks again...............Ron T. Stg. Hts. Mi.
Hi Dye, I have one of these for my FA's can I get a retro kit to add a key function. As I assume it's impossible to get in if the motor lock fails. Great video!
Thank you! I just got the longhorn night stand and in the damn manual it says to hit * 6 times to set s new code but it wasn't even beeping when I did. They need to take a look at their manuals and rewrite them before sending them out with their safes
May just need to replace battery and wait 24 hours. Lock will still beep even with dead battery. I thought I had issues as mine wouldn't open, then it opened but wouldn't lock....it was just that the battery needed to be replaced. I waited a couple of hours before trying mine after replacing the battery. Hope this helps.
Mine did this to me today. Finally opened and wouldn't lock. Replaced the battery and I can hear the solenoid and the safe is working again. I thought I had to buy a new safe.

While it requires 6 inputs it doesn't have to be 6 digits it could be 1234## or 1234*# but it has to be 6 inputs on this model to the best of my knowledge, actually replacing one right now 😅
Sounds like it could be the battery that is failing. Take the keypad off of the door and the battery should be behind the keypad. That should do the trick.

Good afternoon, I have a new safe. I have been unable to set the new combination. When I press the 0 six times it does not peep. Can you assist?
When I press zero 6 times it just beeps once. I need to change the code to keep someone out and I can’t do this. Any help?

Fyi.. after you change the battery it will be for like 5 minutes... And then you can enter the password in and open it
My lock will not open, with new combination entered, and the pad has a constant beep and will not unlock using the last code or new code
