- In one of Disney's strangest crossovers to date, The Muppets met some of the cast of Good Luck Charlie in an episode of the series in from 2013. Since Good Luck Charlie seems to be a hot topic nowadays, I decided to go back and take a look at this episode!

What do you think about this episode?
Um where’s the zeke and Luther reference??
It’s a great crossover episode!
Hot take: The Muppets aren't doing a crossover; they're celebrity guest stars and I am willing to die on this hill. 😂
Eric Kramer always had amazing comedic timing. He’s been in Comedies his whole career, and work with Mel Brooks on Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Great movie.
@@badlandschugsnumber1fan123it’s at the end ❤
Good Luck Charlie is honestly way better than most people give it credit for when it was on air in Disney Channel back then. Props to Bridgit Mendler for acted The Muppets so well 🙌
100% - GLC is honestly up there with the classics in terms of quality.
Agreed. I never got tired of the show -- even until its series finale. The Duncan family felt real..as real as a Disney Channel family can get. Also loved the Christmas movie too!
Yeah that episode sticks in my mind
@@MJ-hz6gh Absolutely, and when I say Good Luck Charlie is a classic that's on par with another classic sitcom like Friends, I mean it
It’s quite a well written show, I appreciate it a lot.
Hey, the Muppets have done weirder crossovers. They did one with Zack and Cody, Doctor Who, even Kermit somehow made a cameo in Amphibia. They can pretty much do crossovers with anything at this point.
Studio DC: Almost Live is what you're thinking of with Zack and Cody. It was this two episode special where the Muppets collaborated with Disney stars. I want to see him cover this, too!
There was also an episode of *The Cosby Show* where Cliff has a nightmare featuring a bunch of muppets.
And Gonzo just appeared in the game awards, which was also weird
What episode was that??
Fozzy Bear was in Big City Greens.
For the time it aired it was refreshing to have a show that was just slice of life. No secret identities, double lives, magic powers, secret agents, celebrity/TV star protagonists, unusual living circumstances etc, it was just a family, two parents with four kids (five halfway through with the second oopsie baby), and the misadventures in their day to day lives where the biggest struggles were relationship dramas and wanting things they couldn’t afford. It’s easier to relate because the Duncans are an ordinary everyday family.
Yeah I remember I related so hard to GLC because it mirrored my family so much. Oldest brother, sister, brother, then youngest daughter, going through real everyday shenanigans in a comedic way. Adventures don't need to be wacky or unrealistic, just fun
That's the intention from Disney Channel. They wanted to do series that appeals for the entire family, not just kids. Similar to how Friends worked where everybody at their age can enjoy that show for what it is
After this, i'd like you to break down the insane rivalry between Gabe and Mrs Dabney 😂😂
OMG this is so good 🤣
Basicly Dennis and Mr Wilson
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I keep seeing her in commericals!
Good Luck Charlie is probably one of my favorite Disney Sitcoms, mostly because it doesn't really rely on a gimmick like the other ones (Raven has psychics, Wizards had Wizards, the Suite Life took place in a hotel and boat, etc), It instead relies on the dynamic of the family, which is honestly pretty funny. It felt less like a Disney Channel Sitcom and more like a Sitcom that happened to air on Disney Channel.
Don't get me wrong, It still had some Disneyisms in there, but for the most part, It's kinda doing its own thing.
My favourite one is the Christmas movie, I watched that like every year during Christmas because it just seems so fun watching it during the Christmas time. I love it! One of the best Disney Channel Original Movie ever
The gimmick of the show is the video diaries, but I understand what you’re coming from
Yeah, but unlike the gimmicks of other Disney Shows, you could probably take the video diaries away and nothing would really change at all.
@@gottahurtthealbertosaurus yeah, I gotcha, but you can make that same argument for almost all of their sitcoms 😂
@@jacobsunday6561off the top of my head the only one that’s main gimmick wouldn’t change much are both ironically Jessie and Suite life which gimmick is…the location more than anything.
Pairing Amy Duncan and miss piggy is really smart as they both have a questionable history on twitter
what did miss piggy do?
I think what made GLC a great show is how they spent time actually making the parents actual characters instead of stagnated, vanilla parents. Bob Duncan is easily a god tier level being, and Amy is up their with the best of DC moms.
Amy? Good mother? Were you poisoned by her cooking?
@@jbcatz5 Good character dosn't= good parent. I recall her being ok despite always wanting to be the center of attention.
@@icecreamhero2375 You said she’s up there with the best of the Disney Channel mothers, which makes it look like she’s great at being a mother. That couldn’t be further from the truth, this is the woman who recast her family for a stage performance (the recast Gabe being played by the late Cameron Boyce) and frequently prioritises her own glory.
@@jbcatz5 No I didn't the original comment said that.
I haven't watched Good Luck Charlie in years it was good
It was kinda funny that after Toby was born they mostly forgot about him. He literally isn’t even in the final scene of the show where the family says goodbye to Teddy
The B plot in this episode is probably the best one in the entire show tbh. Gabe sneaking into an accountant's dinner is so him, and Bob finding out, getting mad, and then joining in is perfect. The ending is perfect, with Gabe having to give a surprise speech. Using his dad's words against him, he says "I think you should hear from the man who taught me everything I know," forcing Bob to do it. Hilarious.
Wow Mr. Nostalgia missed a perfect opportunity to say “Bridget sang in this episode just like she did in ‘Lemonade Mouth’ with Adam Hicks from ‘Zeke & Luther” wow! Dang man what happened?
I just noticed that the contractor is played by the guy who played Scully on Brooklyn 99 (Joel McKinnon Miller)
He was on Everybody Loves Raymond as well
Good Luck Charlie was my comfort show growing up I always tuned in when a new episode came on and truly grew up as the characters grew up. Speaking of The Muppets I would love to know does anyone remember the show Studio DC: Almost Live where Disney Channel stars would interact with The Muppets this episode reminded me of that. 😊
Good Luck Charlie is one of those comfort food show I have a lot of those actually Ed Edd n Eddy is another one for me.
If you thought that crossover was Bizarre, then you clearly never saw Jessie crossed over with Ultimate Spider Man. Yes that was a real thing.
I forgot about that episode… it’s- weird.
WHAT EPISODE IS THAT?!!!
It's great.
Halloween Night at the Museum, in Series 3.@@MushBunny
As an adult now I’m like why don’t the parents just vote. They are the ones actually living in it. Teddy is almost moving out. Charlie is just 4
I found the scene immediately from looking up "Muppets Most Wanted Deleted Scenes":
"Yeah, we're the Disney Synergy Team. This is our row."
This special holds up to me; both the Muppets & Good Luck Charlie hold dear in my heart.
I was getting scared that Zeke and Luther wasnt gonna get mentioned
That is one thing you never need too fear
Speaking of Muppets/Disney Channel crossovers, I'd love to see you cover Studio DC: Almost Live. It was my introduction to the Muppets as a kid.
Also: The contractor is Scully from Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
First, my condolences. You deserved a better introduction to the Muppets. Second, I agree! That would be awesome!
I completely forgot this existed 🤣
Honestly Good Luck Charlie might be my fav disney sitcom.
Calling this a crossover is stretching it since the Muppets guest starred as themselves EVERYWHERE!!!!!! They're even treated like they're real life celebrities, appearing on talk shows or sports games!
On the subject of Good Luck🤞🏼Charlie, my idea of how to bring back the Duncans would be to pull a Boyhood and film the family's lives since the series finale for at least 10 minutes a year. And the project would stop once Charlie became an adult. That'd be a helluva DCOM!!! Who knows? Maybe they're already doing it!
THIS!!! The Muppets are celebrity guest stars!
All the Jim Henson characters are like that. Nobody interviews Big Birds actor, the interview big bird. The same goes for Elmo and Kermit
Statler:"There's only one thing I don't like about this".
Waldorf:"What seeing The Muppets doing a crossover with another show".
Statler:" No, seeing The Muppets on a another show".
Both: Dohohohohoh.
Love to see Bob Duncan respect. Hes the best comedian on the show as an adult.
He was in Robin Hood Men In Tights
I forgot Good Luck Charlie. I remember this show during 2021 because the actress who played Amy Duncan was saying some out of pocket stuff on social media.
Not the 4 year old having a vote in the house rebuilt
Oh dang, the contractor is Scully from Brooklyn 99! That's fun.
He’s been in a lot of shows
This was so weird. I thought this fake honestly.
I can go either way with them remodeling the house or not. I hated change when I was Charlie's age but now that I am older I do my best to be more accepting of it.
This, with a few other good luck Charlie episodes are core memories to me lol, specifically the dream sequence.
I thought this episode was a fever dream and forgot it existed. I remember the promo for when this episode of Good Luck Charlie came out. The muppets guest starred on so many shows back in the day so it’s not shocking they happened to show up for this one. It was always a surprise to see what show they were gonna be on next. It was always the show you least expected.
I always loved this episode, the Muppets make the best crossovers. But lowkey Gabe usually has the best episodes in Good Luck Charlie. Nice video
Keep the Zeke and Luther streak going dude. By the time it came out I already moved unto the likes of super superjail and family guy but maybe I'll check it out one day
Bro did not just put the ad in an ad break like the show. That satisfied my soul in ways I cannot describe
Nice video but I couldn't stop jamming to heard it on the radio from Austin and Ally in the background
You joke about the scene being forgettable but this is one of the few moments in Good Luck Charlie I think about the most. That and the Spencer scene, you know the one.
When did I joke about a scene being forgettable?
I really love the Muppets. The original Muppet Show is insanely funny. I also love the movies. Most Wanted and the Original are my favorites.
I remember this episode very well but it's for a strange reason: dubbing mishap. I'm from Spain and MANY years ago the Muppets were introduced as the "Teleñecos" (TELEvision-muÑECOS / TV dolls), so when this episode was originally aired, it was announced as "The Duncans meet the Teleñecos" and they were called that throughout it. Then mere weeks later the special was announced again like it was new, this time using the word Muppets and upon watching it, all instances of the word Teleñecos had been redubbed to Muppets. My guess is some executive(s) realized the upcoming film used the name Muppets (many nostalgic franchises have shed their translated names upon being reintroduced by Disney, like Star Wars) and ordered the episode be redubbed and reaired so it could properly work to advertise the film
Fun fact: the dad in this show played thor in the incredible hulk returns
Little John in Robin Hood Men In Tights
I was bummed they didn’t reference Good Luck Charlie in the honest trailer of that hulk and Thor movie
Good Luck Charlie was probably the last Disney Channel show (along with Phineas and Ferb) I actively remember watching, and by that point I was a high school senior. But by that point, you're not trying to see superpowers and kids bouncing all over the place. You want some chill vibes slice-of-life sitcom like Boy Meets World. Truly a TGIF-level show if it wanted to be.
GLC was one of the only Disney Channel live-action shows that were.. actually relaxing. Just a family being a family.
I just realized, a video on Studio DC Almost live, the forgotten Disney Channel Muppets talk show is needed
what kind of exterminator is ballin this much low key lmao
I have so much nostalgia for this episode specifically. I guess as a kid I really like the plotline of the Duncans getting a new house, plus the sort of musical portion of it was great to me as a musical lover. I still have all the lyrics to that little song memorized. I always look forward to watching this episode every time I rewatch the show :)
I remember only watching Good Luck Charlie because the mom was fine af. It was a little over my time. By then my childhood shoes Suite life and hanna montana were ending/or already ended
I feel like since revivals and reboots are a big trend right now I think they should make a show (spinoff) of this show since charlie is 15 in real life now it'll be the perfect opportunity to have them use all the video messages from Teddy and have her use them in her freshman year of high school
I remember watching this episode as a young child when I was upset about moving house too🥲so I deffo related to Charlie back then
Good Luck Charlie was always the Disney show I would watch either while nothing was on or waiting for another show on Disney. I would have to revisit it one day and give it another try.
Wow i never saw this growing up, but it seems lika an charming special
Random Theory but Bob Duncan is Mr. Incredible
If I had a nickle for every Disney show with a muppets cross over, I'd have 2 nickles... Which isn't a lot, bit it's weird it happened twice.
6:50 looks like someone needs to buy the blu-ray or dvd of the movie to see if it actually exists
I feared if I turned on do not disturb while I was skiing, I’d miss a Mr. Nostalgia upload. It came true.
Of course I know good luck Charlie. Grew up watching this
wow, i also forgot there was another child? i loved the show growing up but that part definitely left my brain lmaooo
your commercial ad Just bring so many memories back
thanks a lot nostalgia, now you have me in the mood to rewatch all of good luck charlie. i hope you're happy.
I mean, it's not the most out there crossover a Disney Channel show has done. Remember that one episode of Jessie where Adam Sandler showed up?
Or the one where the Jessie cast were in Ultimate Spiderman 😂
I remember when the commercials for this crossover appeared on the channel. I was so hyped and I watched it when the episode premiered. Love GLC and I'm glad to see others do too
10:08 Hey it's Scully from Brooklyn Nine-Nine!! It's awesome to see extras we had no idea were popular actors in our childhood shows.
I'm pretty sure that this was a cross-promotion with Extreme Makeover Home Edition cause at that time they did a week where the Muppets were guests and they helped with the home makeover.
Good Luck Charlie is my favourite Disney Channel sitcom I've seen, even though I was a young adult when it was airing. I recall watching marathons of it during the holidays. There was just a special charm to it I didn't feel with other Disney sitcoms. The humour was great and the family are really likeable. I watch the Christmas movie every year. But I have never watched it all the way through and I have never seen this episode, it sounds pretty bizarre. I don't think I've seen much of the final season. Maybe I should put it on my list to watch all the way through.
I remember really liking Good Luck Charlie but it has been so long. I need to revisit it again. I don't remember many specifics.
I remember seeing the commercials for this when I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade and blushing so hard when watching it. Thanks for covering it, man.
The only thing I consistently remember from this episode is the “aaalabAmuh” scene. I forgot what it was tied to.
Good Luck Charlie was GOATED! There’s only 1 bad episode, Season 4 Episode 3.
i gasped when kermit sang bc i knew the lyrics
Scully moonlighted as a contractor while working as a cop for the 99? Who knew?
Is it weird that a series I always thought was about growing and changing decided that in this episode growing and changing is bad?
One missed example of the final season soft reboot: ANT Farm!
I literally didn't know The Muppet had a BIG crossover with that show lol.
If you wanna feel old, check out what Bridget Mendler has been up to the past few years 😮
oh man i was really worried there wouldn't be reference to zeke and luther in this video
I remember that crossover
Texted my mom this. Also I mentioned that I wished shake it up did a muppets crossovers unless they did and I missed it also my favorite muppets is rizzo and gonzo
Yeah I definitely remembered watching this!
One of my favorite crossovers next to Phineas and Fred MARVEL crossover
Beast at the end was hilarious. For Good Luck Charlie I always liked PJ and Bob the best.
As someone who moved like 10+ times as a kid this episode confused me sooooo much
I remember when that episode came out. I loved it. I think that was the last episode. Not sure but I cried
Give it up for the real guest star of the episode: JOEL MCKINNON MILLER! Nine-Nine!
Lol! Ironic you do this now! Me and my sis are speed running shows from our childhood and we watched this just today not 4 hrs ago!!! ❤️💯
I don't know a single thing about Good Luck Charlie, but no knowledge was necessary. Every Disney/Nick sitcom is exactly the same.
I drank a 12 pack of Coors Light one year on 4th of July and watched a Good Luck Charlie marathon on TV. That was my only real viewing of the show, but I did enjoy it.
I so vividly remember this episode
I am seated
Those are not some random chickens 😒 those are THE Gonzo the Greats chickens seen in almost every movie 🙄🙄💅💅💅💅
Burh, I never knew the guy who played Izzy's friend in Jump In was Emmett. It's so obvious now.
The “moral” of this episode is super weird. Holding on to everything nostalgic isn’t healthy, it’s good to change and evolve to create new memories and not constantly relive the past.
Yeah I remember when Kermit had that one crossover with X videos. Craziness.
Where’s the Kickin It video man 😭
Still working on it
Masterpieces take time let him cook since Kickin It is a amazing show.
just had to pause the video and recollect myself because of the degrassi line that you used when you showed spencer i know maya matlin when i hear her
awesome x
Did the mom give out anti vax advice to Miss Piggy? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Both this and that episode of the original show where Big Bird guest stars prove Miss Piggy would hurt a child.
There were some other Disney Channel crossovers with the Muppets like with Amphibia and Zack and Cody. The most interesting one was when Fozzie Bear voiced a character in Big City Greens.
I genuinely forgot this happened until I saw the thumbnail omg
Bob Duncan is hilarious
Wasn't there a muppet event where beeker had to sing This is Me with Demi Lovato?
ngl i always remember skipping this episode all the time and I don't understand why
