It's crazy how this intro still sounds awesome after so many years and after just watching someone play it repeatedly over and over again.
I literally battled to keep from grinning the entire friggin vid, but the laughing fit at 9:44 just broke me🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also, after maybe 7-8 shots, the timing got a bit inconsistent, but you still play great even you're hammered. I respect that!
🤘!!!ohhh yurrrr!!!🤘
This really shows the role that practice and muscle memory have in musicianship. Good job dude!
This just reminds me of Children Of Bodom's Jaska...Even though they drink all day he they were able to play at a pretty exceptional level...(Even when Alexi messed up the solos sometimes.)They have to be one of the hardest party bands of the modern era.
Yeah and it killed Alexi... alcoholism is an asshole.
Holy shit, now THAT'S rock and roll.... And badass!
@@andriealinsangao613 😂 Sure is.
It sounds like Judas Priest - Painkiller, yet with different guitar at the end of the section (like drop-C transcribed, only difference is strumming and outro).
Also, I think he's faking it a little bit (too sober imho:))
Much love!
15:00 Samus’ laugh gets me every time! 😂
As an engineer, I respect your dedication to "science".
21 shots deep and still better than most professional drummers on a good day! Cheers bro!🤘
I'm not a drummer, yet I really enjoy all of your videos. Your playing and drum mix is a pure pleasure to listen to. I've known a band, where vocalist was so drunk, that during the concert break (they were playing all evening), he almost fell of the stairs, yet he sang perfectly. I guess this is the reason why we have to practice so much... :D
The gradual slowing of the song was the most beautiful part. To watch how alcohol affects your skills is honestly a good focal point. Thanks for making such a great video.
I'm shocked at how well you kept it going, your timing and spacing got loose - but still coherent.
22 likes nice
Dude you’re amazing! You killed it on the drums after all those shots. You went full auto pilot, no matter the alcohol you’re just a great drummer
thanks to the lady for her patience and help, cause this was awesome to watch guys!
12:56 "I need another cigarette"
But you just had a cigarette!....... NaOo
But if we drink along with you, you sound great all the way through! :)
Underrated comment right here 😂
Also hello!
I know you seemed to have it under control, but please don’t hurt yourself doing challenges. We need you, man
yeah, this was fun and all........proved a point, that.....eeeeeeeer..........drummers are coller and better like all the myths say.......but yeah........dont hurt yourself anymore bud!
love and saluud° from an ex.-drummer in souyth america!
cheers
fun vdeo tho.....im a drunkard too, llol
started out sounding robotic, then he got a good human feel around 10 shots, and then just barely slowly went down hill after 15 shots. this guy is nuts haha
"i'm a lightweight"
*casually takes 10 shots*
man, 3 drinks is enough to make me sick
What a beast, I can only handle like 3 beers before whole band and crowd knows I had 3 beers.
"I Don't even know what's going on right now, I just wanna play the drums" story of my life.
Your Instagram would be the story of my life
My man is WASTED by the end, and still kills it. Much respect!
100th like! ;)
Man, around 4:20 I thought: These double bass is starting to get a little too enthusiastic timing wise, but in the next rounds he's a machine again. He's too good
I can't even imagine playing this drunk when I can't even play it sober. That was amazing that he could still play it perfect after 21 shots!
Super video bro! Even after shot 20 you still had great footwork and hand technique. Literally one of my fav UA-cam drummers
I love how each shot it just looks like he's having more and more fun doing it.
Dude I have mad respect for you playing one of the most classic Judas Priest songs of all time and taking 21 shots of Fireball in between. I remember I drank 9 shots of Fireball after that I was all fucked up. And I was bowling with friends lol
I did this one day but on the guitar. Turns out 8 shots of Tanqueray 10 turns me back into a beginner. It also makes it hard to stand.
Proof that practice makes permanent.
Great job and hilarious to watch.
I can't even play one bar of that being sober. First time watching a video of you, man but instant subscription.
haha thank you dude!!
@@66Samus and you, sir Samus!
i like how his drunk playing is still better than my sober playing
😂😂😂😂😂
i think this really shows the power of muscle memory, sound like he has to be unconscious for it to start sounding sloppy to be honest
Well when you're distracted by your phone. Yeah. Takes work to get there but less work to progress once you break that learning curve.
@@Skunkanoid man I don't know what you're talking about I noticed a difference after the 8th shot.
You have an absolute abundance of charisma and boyish charm, you remind me a lot of one of my mates and you regularly crack me up.
Feel like i could easily head to the pub for a drink with you and it wouldnt be awkward hahah keep it up mate! ❤
The man himself just has drumming in his blood no matter what else is in it. Legend!
You should’ve played High on Fire since you were drinking Fireball and all. Shows how muscle memory plays a huge part in playing. You are awesome!
Yep! He is THE drummer! That is a sign when you can’t walk but you can play 🤘🤣
It's still quite tight after so many shots ... man ... you're the Dimebag of drums ! (he could still play a Pantera show when not able to stand ...)
You can see he’s gradually getting happier every time he takes a shot
Because his body and brain are producing protective endorphins against the poisonous onslaught.
@@Personalapocalypse77.
Also dopamine and serotonin, but I don't know if they're released to "protect" or just because of the ethanol.
@@xen0n534 I probably should of used a different word other than protective. I believe the body is producing these chemicals in response to the poison as a coping mechanism. Much like if you receive a serious injury you wouldn't feel it until later due to all the natural pain killers being released. The alcohol in and of itself doesn't have any euphoric properties it's the chemical cascade produced by the endocrine system that feels so good. Not sure if that makes any sense but that's my take anyway.
to a point, after 14 i think he wanted to be done. 1 slice Santucci's + water then nap
@@Personalapocalypse77.
Yeah it does, when you drink over the top too much you don't receive these chemicals anymore because your brain is do fucked up by the alcohol. But during the "buzz" you receive these, it does make sense that it is some sort of a coping mechanism but I've never taken it that way until now.
after shot 4 I noticed the first set of double kicks there was slightly less separation between each beat. Awesome song to use tho! edit: after some minor timing variances and inflections, once you hit shot 14, you came around full circle and sounded on point again(mostly). seems to happen with alcohol after a certain level you balance the drunkenness with reality and make it work. for some people even better.
I noticed that … The blast after 17 shots was amazing. Technicality brilliant, of course, but with more subtlety - ever so slightly behind and slightly softer in just the right places.
I noticed exactly the same things, when it got to Shot 14 I thought wow that’s suddenly got more accurate again.
this is....what seems to be a true and very interesting point
This video is like a metaphor for addiction, rhythmically doing something over and over again even though you know you shouldn't lol
Its true.....he's addicted to drumming and wont stop no matter what
🎵step into the shadows we can talk addiction/when it's harmful where you going and part of you that know it don't give a fuck
not addicted to alc I hope cuz no he’s not💀😂
I golf drunk the way you drum drunk... Pretty fucking solid! Drunken muscle memory is definitely a thing
