@@artmusic5738 That is a bmx bike. Its just has discs, raised seat and older standard parts. it is a bmx, just a cheaper newer one, since it has discs.
@@karlovuja5034 it's not just disc brakes, actually. here and the cranks are not for BMX and the rear hub. in general, there are many nuances here.
@@artmusic5738 in fact, the vintage and original american bmx bikes had these ashtabula cranks or so called american one piece crank. but the frame looks aluminium and not steel like in original bmx, bum im not sure bozt that

Nice restoration of your BMX, brings back memory of younger years in Philippines. Of course we did not have disc brakes back then, I remember some kids converted to "foot" brakes just because clamp break pads were expensive to replace but we did what we have to back then just to keep rinding our BMX.
And nowadays, people rarely ride BMX with brakes 🤣
The "foot brakes" were just jammed up used Spartan slippers😂

I love your restorations. Is a very beautifull work whit your hands! Tienes una buena delicadeza al poner en practica tus manos a la hora de restaurar y las bicicletas pasan a tener vida nuevamente para que otra persona la disfrute plenamente. Quedan hermosas! I havent seen a BMX with disc brakes before. It looks cool and alot of fun. Great restoration
they are fairly common in racing but most of those guys run rear brakes only

Man all I gotta say, build is NEARLY PERFECT, It just needs a 3 piece crank, and you’ll have a really solid bike
well the straight laced spokes, single wall rims, and 1" forks tend to not be the most reliable parts
Bmx should be light weight 3 peice crank would add tons of weight and look bad

Outstanding Restoration! Its nice to see a bike with real corrosion. A lot of restorations are fake, they just distress the paint and slap on some mud to make it look old.
Its an interesting bike. Given that the frame still has break mounts on the forks and above the chain stay top tube, I'm going to assume the wheels with disk break rotors are not original. The frame itself looks like a late year mid school bike (late 90's early 2000's) as it still has the old school headset that needs to be pressed into the headtube. Then it has a very old school sprocket that looks like a 44 tooth with a single piece crank, very 80's. The only place you see a sprocket like that on modern BMX is on racing bikes.
