I also teach guitar. One of the important things I emphasize is the using of the thumb to mute the E string on certain chords. I see you do it and that is so good for the new guitarists to see. It's becomes natural after you learn to do it. "Love cowboys chords!" I recommend you to new students.
I think you're going to learn a lot of good guitar players and your going to get alot of guitar players to start up again like my self thanks again good 👍
you are amazing! So many doors open up, as I watch your videos. I am a 39-year-old beginner guitarist, I started about 5 weeks ago and I am really trying to do something with it. I need material to keep me busy, and you provided me with it. For that, I thank you! I feel like I should go busking, using the few songs I already know.
I have to join your site as I have learned so much from you - Thank you! Since I'm relatively new to guitar, well I have taken lessons but was not working for me. To those that struggle to follow along at times as I do, I suggest playing the video back in slow motion as it helps to follow the strumming pattern
I’m 62 years old and totally blind player always learned new stuff. You’re a great teacher Kevan if you ever get time do footprints in the snow I think it’s by Greg Lake.😅
Thanks so much , I started playing a year ago and basically plateaued , doing exercises ect.. but not playing music!! These videos have given me a new charge and lots of fun!! Thank so much👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi, it's really tricky knowing where to start. I am a keyboard player but really want to learn the guitar. I'm information gathering at the moment and came across your channel. Man you are playing some of my favourites and this is the stuff I want to play on guitar. For a more extreme tune I've always wanted to try out on guitar is Layla. I have subscribed because you are easy to follow and clear in instruction.
Also I love ur Martin guitar. I just recently picked up one that looks a lot like yours. Mines a d10 road series that has some repaired stress cracks that were repaired allowing me to get it for an incredible deal 🎸
Hey tkx your good. I've just started playing Irish Trad music on guitar but have been playing Tenor ukulele just for last 4 yrs. Trad stuff and all those songs you've just been playing Including Wagon wheel haha. Big changed trying to learn guitar. Tkx Tina

Great stuff👍 what would help further ; as I'm a newbie , would be the chords highlighted on the screen as well . If that's possible? Thanks
Thanks! And thanks for the suggestion.
What model of Martin guitar do you use?

Thanks so much for watching! We appreciate it. Are you using a metronome? Do you have a practice routine? Hang in there.
@@Relaxandlearnguitar I have a metronome but just can't keep up a consistent rhythm. I think Maggie May could play better than me! 😒
