To be fair the original Pinocchio story is pretty grim hell the author wanted Pinocchio to die in the original but his publisher wouldn't allow it so he basically tortured Pinocchio in all sorts of ways most notably having Pinocchio hanged from a tree
i don’t know how all these reviews are saying it’s not a bloodborne clone when everything down to the entire gameplay, lack of dialogue, even the fuckin health meters are identical to BB
Ye it's a direct copy with their own skin on top. Even the layout of the world is Bloodborne, even the width 🤣 it does look brilliant though since bloodborne was the best souls game, this is a must for me!
The aesthetic is something I would definitely be into. From having played the demo the gameplay is too much like a soulslike for me to lose interest in it. Difficult battles is fine if combat didn't lock you into animations and dieing wasn't so punishing, that's just wasting time.
I did feel like in the demo your character's rolling was slow and gameplay felt chunkier and more sluggish than I had expected, and there's NO animation canceling. I love Fromsoft's Souls games, because they always give you multiple ways to tackle a challenge or grind to make things easier, but Souls likes always try and go out of their way to be hard to control and overly punishing. I don't want to spend all my time learning to perfect block only to get one shot by a move I haven't learned yet. The game looks really good, but I'll be waiting for a sale.
I just cant buy games anymore every AAA game without OBVIOUS issues that general viewers see earns a high school and im just tired of findint out the high reviews are padded. Bro 9 or 10 rated game should feel perfect and not drag.... bg3 is a 9 or 10......starfield.....is truly a 7.......i just cant anymore.......if you rate a game 8,9,10 i expect to be blown the fuck away. Gaming is getting be more of "how can we hide these issues" rather than "if we fix this then players will come"
@NotHypnoEmpire I do not they didn't feel like explaining that. Transparency isn't good in games(ain't good with our government either(just a joke)) but from what I see they are portraying it as AAA game from what I see. They core of what I was saying earlier is every new big game earns high scores from reviewers nowadays but usually when I get my hands on a game I feel like I was lied to. The only thing I can give you for comparison is hogwarts legacy.....after the castle is explored the game takes a huuuuge dip in quality. It was not a 9 out of 10. The enemy variety, puzzles outside of the school, npcs all poorly done. Same with starfield. THEY ARE GETTING FULL PRICE FROM US FOR LESS EFFORT. What im saying is hype should match the product not outweigh it. Developers should tell gamers a games problems while promoting it(example: hey guys we are promoting hogwarts legacy and we want to let you know the story isn't the best and neither is enemy variety but we built you an amazing hogwarts and we hope you buy it. Honesty...that's all I want from game previews. Don't upsell me anymore.) But no truth in advertising video games would bring about a future where games are priced based on what gamers want to pay for them(only 1 game a year maybe 2 is worth full price an inferior game must be priced less) starfield should be 40 bucks max, baldurs gate 3 full price, this is if it isn't mind blowing should be 40 or less simple. I propose this: Game ratings to price(assuming transparency demands finally take hold in the gaming culture) 1-3 20 bucks starting price( the dog shit such as arkham nights) 4-5 30 (amazing indie games like hollowknight) 6-7 40 bucks (smaller games that have short runtime or as I call it the TRUE starting price point of games like until dawn or even games that just arent that good but still decent evil west or even marvels midnight suns) 8-9 50 bucks (starfield, red dead 2, dying light 2 basically games that attempt to be outstanding but just aren't and get boring) 10 60-70 bucks(last of us 2, baldurs gate 3, God of war, demons souls remake and elden ring.)
Neowiz / Round 8 are not unknown. They just carefully try to avoid any reference to Bless Online & Bless Unleashed because both those games failed immensely. The original cost about $50 million dollars to make and was shut down after trying in 18 months after trying to sell $300 founder's packs with "Priority customer service" being one of the additional benefits". MMO players hate them, and they know it so they moved onto the Dark Souls market. If this game isn't abandoned three months post launch I'd be shocked.
For those who didn't play the demo. The deflection works like Sekiro's, it doesn't disbalance the enemy for a riposte like in BB. This is the core part of the game and everything else is built around it. The nerfed roll during lock on is to encourage deflection. Standard block: recoverable hp loss (easy but costly) Perfect guard: no hp loss and build enemy's nonvisible stagger meter. eg. When the Watchman boss does a chain attack, chain deflections are needed.
One of my personal favourite things about the game. It’s so satisfying when you learn an enemy’s attacks and are able to block a bunch of them perfectly! - Aaron
Im going to be able to play this for free on gamepass with my ROG Ally. Would pay for it on PS5, but I'll save the money since next month I'm buying Lord of the Fallen with the money I would use for this game.
Third review I've seen today, third 8/10.
That's a solid game for the Developers first crack at a AAA soulslike game!... 👏 💯
I’ve seen two people review Lies of P as 9/10 & 10/10 respectively. Regardless, all the reviews seem to be pretty positive.
All reviews I've seen have been positive
If you like this type of game, you won't be disappointed. Just don't sleep on the parry and you will have a good time.
@@Barney_rubble983 I ended up getting it and I completely agree with you. Thoroughly enjoying it!

I played the demo I know what I like, and I highly enjoyed the demo and wanted more. I am getting day 1.
Jack and the beanstalk? Might make an interesting story for a video game
One the best explained reviews I have seen on this game. Great job
Downloaded on gamepass yesterday.
Awesome game.
Got it running at 1440 120+fps
Every review has been an 8 and above. This is great news!!
Getting an 8 for there first game of this genre is pretty good. Now can they keep it up?
Is the dual sense utilized well?

Nicely done dude! 👏
i play a lot of demos, but I've never played a demo three full times
So basically its a AAA version of Steelrising but set in Victorian London instead of Victorian Paris
The aesthetic is something I would definitely be into. From having played the demo the gameplay is too much like a soulslike for me to lose interest in it. Difficult battles is fine if combat didn't lock you into animations and dieing wasn't so punishing, that's just wasting time.

I'd like to see Hansel & Gretel co op souls game
The scores have been consistent mostly 8 and occasionally 9 that's all i need to tell me it's a top game

I can't understand half of what you said, but you know this isn't a AAA game right?

So, this is "easy"? I never touched a Soulsborne/Souls-Like, but I did touch the demo.
Lol it's not easy
@@aloyofnora3224 I mean "Easy to get into for one that never picked up a game like this." 😅
@@XartiXVthat kinda game is always hard for our first experience, but you'll clearly see your progress and you'll get addicted
hahaha I thought he looked like Timothy Chalamet, too
dont care about reviews, i know i'm gonna have much fun with this game
alice in wonderland or wizard of oz could be interesting
Robin hood would be pretty dope
Looks a bit slow and clunky. I might check it out in a few months.
Very excited to play through, enjoy and explore Lies Of P. I can easily see me putting in 40+ hrs.
I'll be playing through PC gamepass 🙂
It going to be tuff

Same! Such a great deal getting it on game pass
Good choice.
I could play it for free on game pass but buying a physical on ps5 instead. Hope everyone enjoys their time with it
Oof. I'll bet you regretted that decision.
All I wanted was a character creator. I have no interest in playing an entire game as Timothy Chalamet. Not even joking
just put the donkey head on
@@mamalannightshyaman lol as I imagine putting a paper bag over Timothy chalamet's head in a video game bc that's better to me hhahahahaha
I wish I could play every game as Timothee Chalamet
Gorgeous game
Ginger bread 🍞 man
I can afford to miss this one. Truth is, lies of pee looks like poo. Fans were asking for a an easy mode in the souls game and here's the answer.
