- This is what Session is all about! Every now and then it's nice to just pick up Session or Skater XL and just aimlessly skate around and explore the games for what they are. Today was one of those days. We checked out the Peitruss skatepark (which is a bucketlist skate park for me), tried filming some lines, and all in all just had a good time!

Had session for over a year and just started the missions. They are very fun.
Some of them are broken and genuinely infuriating but the games really good I do prefer XL but session has soooo much potential I love the game
Finished the missions and then had to reset my C drive😂☠️ gonna do them again🎉
Wait, the game has missions? Jk but it’s just so much fun to mess around in the map that I always forget to do missions

@@daltonbedore8396 if ur on pc and willing to deal with modding skater xl if ur just wanting an easy set up then use session o personally prefer xl but they are both great

I like the ragdoll physics in these games, but I feel like it would look better if sometimes the guys actively tried to catch themselves from falling instead of just going limp and taking the earth to the dome.

Garrett! You should try and do all the historical challenges in Session, it will hone your skills as well as show you new lines/spots. I had a blast doing all of them, some of them I did have to do on auto catch as they are fucking impossible. Possibly make it a new playlist?
Thats what session is all about: Spend 2 and a half hours into a line and then... Well, its done.

You can throw down if you press the sprint button move forward then get on your board. Way faster than pushing from stationary.
I would reccomend turning on the auto grind/easy grind settings, I got fed up of the game deciding for me when a grind should or shouldn't work.
If I don't like a grind then I will do it again, don't need the game to autobail me

Yeah I’ve been wanting to comment that I wanted to see more of this. More chill, more fun, and less UA-camy. Landing lines proper too. Sometimes session vids feel rushed and almost make me anxious. Thanks for this.

Honestly you nailed it with this video. You can tell you are having fun. Makes me wanna play so i can rage quit in 20 minutes from obsessing over where i spawn upon entery. Anybody else ever do that?
Yeah its hard to move on and go to other spots, but that makes the game great in my opinion.
@@finmotil8267 yeah i have to agree. i kinda remember day of puechase reading something to the effect of... "this game simulates skateboardinng including the frustration...." paraphrasing but i get why thats actually part of the draw. im gonna go skate that one impossible deawon mission.

Random thought, but i'm still weirded out by how similar the default Male skater's face looks like Milky
I genuinely don't think i've played Session purely for fun since about a month after i first bought it, and that's a shame. It's just too easy to have OBS open and go for clips. I can't blame the ease of access to the replay editor for that problem because i almost never record(ed) stuff in Skate. I don't know what it is about Session that makes me want grind clips ad infinitum.
What if, you tried making eps like this to find a good spot and a good line that’s challenging for you, keep editing/making clips and combine them all for a future “Session Skate Part by Garret Vaginer” sorry Ginner
Don't know if you did. But set you FOV to 143 when doing fisheye wide. The when setting key frames set the camera closer to the skater and you'll have a pretty nice looking clip.!
Only the xl version had the back area😢 also there is a mod for object dropper that let's you drop a work table and access skateshop options for new gear so you dont have to leave maps❤ Again, grind/slide input IS the catch input just like irl
So garret. I think this maybe can resolve your catch problem. Try training your flip grind/slide trick with full realese or partial in grind options. This its teach me about the timing of the catch after do a grind.

Garret you know you could run and throw down your board. Its way easier and gets you more speed. You don't have to start off by just pushing.
I’m an avid Session player but I still love Skater XL’s camera settings. I’ve been trying to match it as best as I could and it feels pretty good but I’d be interested to someone else try it too
I've been to peitruss twice. It's so huge and really fun to skate. But there are some really messed up cracks in front of obstacles
try skate city! Its a side scroller stylelysed(i cant spell) skate game. Also keep up the vids ive been loving them lately❤

one hack to catch the board easier is to hold the pop stick down immediately after popping. Same way applies if you want to catch it with your front foot
