- Session's BEST MAP YET! (New schoolyard map). I'm a little late to this video, but Session just released what I believe to be their best map yet. It is a REALLY cool compilation of multiple different real world famous skate spots. There's El Toro, the Carlsbad gap, the Leap of Faith, and a bunch of other real spots all combined into this giant schoolyard DLC. I've been living it, what are your thoughts on it?

Paid DLC > no DLC
You've pretty much summed my thoughts on the map up perfectly. $8USD is inoffensive for a map this good, it helps pay for further development of Session, and the other DLC were cool but also a bit wack.
All the dlc money they did on the old stuff should have went strictly on better gameplay. That’s what we want , we want transition , grabs , variety of different landing animations ..tired of seeing the same old same animation over and over again no matter how high I jump off the stair set or low, you land the same

Remember all the bleachers and random benches can be moved with the object dropper. Session is where it's at.

1. For 50/50s I usually have to use the directional pop, and it makes it easier imo.
2. You should definitely try more big heel tricks, they're probably one of the best looking tricks in the game.
Need to get back on session this looks so clean
They should add runnouts after a bail to really set the realism bc you're not gonna bite the curb every time you bail lol. Absolutely awesome game that I've been waiting 43 years for. Nothing compares to the level of realism in this game though. And they're not even close to done. I love it. And the learning curve is a nod to real skating as well. Well done Creature Studios

Joslin landed it! El toro is skateable, but youd have to cut the gates open at the top, and the rails are skate stopped with pipes sticking up

8:58 that’s a famous set that was mostly skated in the 2000’s. Arto, Jamie Thomas, Chris Cole just to name a few skated it

It would if it had grabs and transitions , thats a deal breaker for me and my friends
I found it funny that he called the ledges ones from Compton.he just did a video of skating those ledges in real life at that school.i thought as soon as he saw those he would say wow i literally just skated these like a week or 2 ago.lol.
The problem isn't the paid dlc, it's the fact they bring this before even implementing missing features. I play both games, but only XL when I want to play vert.
I think custom stat presets/profiles you could switch through would benefit this game really really well.
Also an auto pump option for transition skating.

50-50 in session is easier if you do left stick up right stick down at the same time
All I'm gonna say is, look out for a blue stairset with yellow handrails, I'll let you figure it out from there.

Im trying to get back into skater xl, on vanilla pc physics, is it normal for your skaters speed to dramaticly increase upon landing a trick? Like if i land 2 tricks in a row im going 50 mph or some crazy speed, without pushing

Once you have all your settings back to how you like them please can you make a settings video because the stats you normally have make the game look perfect

"If you don't like it, don't buy it" is the single dumbest argument I see being tossed around far too often. Yes, I DO want it, but NOT FOR THAT PRICE.
I love this map 😍. My office pc from 2016 can run it very well. (30-40fps). i3 6100t 3.2g 2/4. amd ati radeon r5 m435 (2gb mem). 4gb ram + hdd. 720p fsr balance
Price isn't too bad (320₽≈3.5$. Russian region). But yes, DLCs aren't cheap.... the game (on sale) is 400₽≈4.35$

I'd pay someone to put some maps and gear mods on console for SkaterXL. Especially if they can customize them for me.
I didn’t mind paying $7.99 for the DLC. I appreciate that the dev team actually cares about their game, & that they want to keep improving it. That’s rare now a days. I don’t mind at all to drop a few bucks that I know is going into improvements.

or Wallenberg, but it looks like they had a more LA school type vibe, I don't know if they wanted to add these crusty spots

Trust me, people aren’t mad about it being a paid DLC. It’s that the game’s updates have been mostly paid DLC, yet stuff like animations get like one or two tiny updates.
