That they did it all in 7-8 years is the most amazing and impressive thing to me. And it all came and went in pretty much the span of our junior high and high school years. All that creativity in 6 years? How? 🤯 Seems so impossible and unlikely that generations are still listening and paying attention to them 60 years later. Smh…
Well said! It’s obvious at this point their music will be discovered by every generation through time. The Beatles are in a universe of their own. Thanks for watching!
@@JonBlackstone A british guy I know, who is a big Beatles fan, once told me "there's so many great bands out there, and it's hard to compare or categorize most of them, but The Beatles....you put them on their own shelf, and you just leave them there. They have no equal." This is true, and I'm a lifelong Rolling Stones devotee....
My pleasure! I’m always finding ways to celebrate their incredible catalog. I dream of someone stumbling upon this video and it causes them to look deeper!
This reminds me of the old K-Tel record commercials on TV. I don’t know if your goal was to encapsulate essentially every style performed by the Beatles within that period, but there was no jazzy tunes (when I’m 64 and the like), no sitar type tune, and no Ringo. Other than that, great edit.
It was just a free form experiment. I played every Beatles song in chronological order and seeing which tracks demanded to be heard. As a fellow Beatles fan I’m sure you know I might choose a completely different set of songs on another day. Thanks for watching!
I don’t remember if it was you who said that listening to the Beatles is like watching the Shining; you always find something you didn’t notice the last time. That’s a great comparison.

This must have been a challenging but enjoyably task - to summarize The Beatles in only 3 minutes! Very well done!
Thank you! I couldn’t have said it more perfectly than you did!
Legends.
That was fun! Thanks, Jon!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's just amazing that these guys never had a single bad song.
Great little video, Jon. It lifted my spirit on a very stressful morning. I hope you are well.😊
Great editing! It flows nicely 👍
Thanks a lot! It’s tough to make it flow. But so fun to do it!

It would have been very nice was the last song The End
It was the last recording that the 4 of them recorded in the studio together

Why did Paul start parting his hair on the opposite side? Why did John's chin seem more rounded as he aged? Why did...oh never mind.
