We were so glad you were able to come back and spend your special birthday with us at Hoe Grange! It was a joy to have you stay with us as always. Thanks for sharing some of your experiences too!
Happy birthday!🎉🎊🎁🎂 You are such a gift and light in the world for everyone especially how you advocate for the chronically ill and disabled. You are truly making a difference. My family are huge Lego people, we have a whole town, it’s put away for now, but it was such a great way for us older siblings and my younger siblings to connect and make memories. We have a whole storyline. You are NEVER too old to enjoy toys!
I forgot to wish you a happy birthday on Insta, so a very belated happy birthday! 😅 I'm celebrating my 50th this week and attempting to go out to a restaurant, the first time being in a wheelchair. Thanks to your helpful tips, I've checked for accessibility and let them know that I'm a wheelchair user. Resting beforehand and scheduled a rest day the next. So hopefully all goes well. Everything is a learning curve and I so appreciate all I've learnt from you so far 🙏❤
Happy belated birthday! We just saw Wicked when it came out. Looking forward to hear your thoughts about it. Sadly it opened up in the west end after we stopped traveling so I haven’t been able to see it. The movie was my first time. Thanks again for a lovely video, it always brings a smile to my face to see a new video from you.
Black pepper on cheese and biscuits, "might be a bit wild for me, that". I did have to giggle; sorry! I've been trying to find something similar to the Boma for a while, but I can't find anything similar. It's a shame they went out of business and didn't licence the design to someone else. I also noticed you were in a transport wheelchair. What happened to the Whill?!
Random question - how do you get to Hoe Grange holidays? Google just says I can’t on public transport but I don’t drive, and I am from Bradford so not too far from you… so just wondering haha😅
@@hayleytearall I’m so sorry I don’t have a better answer but both times I’ve relied on other people’s cars! I don’t think it’s doable on public transport but the Peak District is pretty well connected by train so think my best advice would get to somewhere like Matlock and taxi it from there! Xx
@@hayleytearall Hi Hayley! There is a public transport option - Ashbourne Community Transport runs a wheelchair-accessible dial-a-bus type service called Derbyshire Connect. You need to pre-book, but they are usually pretty available outside of school pick-up times to collect from a local train station like Matlock or Cromford and bring you straight to Hoe Grange. If that means you would need a slightly earlier or later check-in or check-out time to make the timings work too, that's definitely something we can arrange!
