    Wow, we went there for hour boat ride and more getting view with hour drone, at the same time we got our fish lines out, but we never catch any fish. Maybe we didn’t use the right bate !

    Thanks for the videos. We tried one of the spots you suggested this past weekend for a few hours and had some bites but didn’t bring any in. Can you show how you setup your rig, how you keep bait like sardines on the hook, and what specific lures you would recommend? Thanks! Excited to catch my first Striper!

    Great vid for those like me who don't fish all the time. Can you elaborate more on timing (best guess) when/where the Stripers would be during a given month? I'm sure these Stripers are everywhere but I'm trying to understand the best area to fish on a given time of the year. Subscribed to your channel. Thanks.

    • @vinc8ntl8r

      The best time to fish for Stripers is either early morning or 30 min before dark. And from March to May they’ll be in the sac river and it is the best time to fish. So just fish the spring time and if you need spots check out my other video “Sacramento River bank fishing spots” and that’ll help you. Thanks for subbing. Goodluck 🎣

      So, you say March-May. Have all the stripes left now that its June? I would like to fish anywhere from the Hazel bridge to Downtown Sac but not sure if or where they moved to. I seem to always miss these runs lol

    • @vinc8ntl8r
      @vinc8ntl8r  4 роки тому +3

      jb9189 yeah the bulk of them either went back out to the bay or wayyyy up into the feather river. But some are still here just not as much. If you just want to catch them use bait. But you’ll get the smaller ones. But if you want the 18 inches or more you’ll have to stay late at night. But don’t worry next spring you’ll be ready!

    Great video bro. Do mind I ask where is the spot at 1:00? I’m a student of UC Davis and I love fishing. I’ve never caught a striper, so your videos are like a series of great lectures to me. Really helpful, much love.

    awesome video Bro. I caught a few stripers last weekend in west sac at one of the spots you recommended. They were not 18inches so i had to toss em back, but still fun to catch.

    Forgive my ignorance.... Complete newbie here..... Are stripers and shad ment for catch and release? or do you eat them? Thanks for your videos. I'm going to use them as a resource to begin fishing with my 9-year-old daughter. She has been asking me to go fishing. :)

    • @vinc8ntl8r
      @vinc8ntl8r  3 роки тому

      Stripers and Shad u can eat them. It’s up to u on what u wanna do u can release them or eat them. But if u are keeping stripers make sure to measure them from the tip of the head to tail. And if they are 18 inches or bigger u can take home and eat but any smaller u have to release them. With Shad no size limit. striper season is here Goodluck! 🎣

    Hey Vincent, thanks for the tips! When using bait, do you let it sink to the bottom, or do you suspend it in the water?

      Kyros Cutie Yes just a different name. But I use the live ones. I’m sure those will work too. Just be careful when using the live ones because they can pinch you.

    I used to fish in Santa Cruz Ca and acquaducts. Always did pretty good. But salmon fishing was a lil different and strippers I just don’t seem to hook at all lol 🥹. Been following your tips. Even though I missed this years strippers season I can always try salmon season. I saw that you recommend the flycing C. So ama look into that. But what would be the best time(months) to salmon fish this year?
