These are literally all the best excerpts conforming to the title in the original series. Watched it thrice from beginning to end during my university years and stopped and edited out every part I found hilarious. You'll never find a better compilation than this :)
Best and hilarious are two different things. The former explains who he is, his ideals and what he stands for; the latter could be a mockery or finding humor where the subject doesn't intend it, like slipping on a banana peel. Sometime I plan to watch the videos about Kirk and Spock's friendship: www.youtube.com/@geso101/videos
In these excerpts, Spock is being literal and in some cases pedantic or obtuse, rather than sassy. He would have to recognize the humor in what he is saying for it to be sassy. Some of his exchanges with Dr. McCoy qualify as sassy, but that description does not apply to these excerpts.
I’m the freak that just loves both Star Wars and Star Trek. To me, Star Trek, is more exploration while Star Wars is war. They’re not comparable to me, Star Wars is like an apple and Star Trek is like an orange.
I have to wonder: was Spock doing all this on purpose just to mess with people, or did he genuinely not get these entendres and metaphors. He's been around humans for a really long time. Seems like he'd have their lingo down.
We may never know...but I suspect that Spock knew very well what the score was and he was indeed messing with these illogical humans. Don't ever let anyone tell you that he didn't have a sense of humor, because he sure did. My guess it was the human half of him that was responsible.

@@d.j.el-magnifico3511 yeah, Quinto was picked to be Spock by Leonard Nimoy himself. And Karl Urban was so much like Deforest in the 2009 movie that it actually brought Leonard to tears.
Leonard Nimoy, what a champ! It could have happened so easily that Spock became some kind of comic book parody of an alien but Nimoy's acting chops gave real depth and subtlety to Spock, one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in all of literature, film or myth. Only a superior actor could have pulled that off!
I always wonder how much is misunderstanding and how much is intentional. I always like to think, that Vulkans do understand humor but rarely indulge themselves to it.
Totally agree. There was one scene with Spock and Yeoman Janice Rand (I think it was from the "Mirror, Mirror" episode). She's bringing him a document to sign and he makes a comment to the effect of how the alternate Captain Kirk had some "interesting" characteristics (or tendencies, can't remember the exact wording) as he's handing the document back. She snatches it and the pen back and glares at him before stalking off, and he watches her go with something as close to a grin as Spock ever got when he was being himself.
I think even Data was messing with people sometimes... if you're "still learning" you can be intentionally awkward/blunt sometimes to cause trouble or make a point because people will give it a pass lol

It instead opts to bring back spirit of the original with story and exploration.
