This is the first video I've seen from someone using N-Ext that has beautiful, healthy looking grass starting off! Lawn is looking great!
Appreciate it! I didn't use much of their products at all last year, just to see if I noticed a difference. I really didn't. Using it sparingly this year, but I think most of them are helpful. Thanks for commenting!
Brother this looks great!!!!
Green Effect + Ammonium Sulfate for early spring and late fall FIREWORKS! It's Ferrous Ammonium Sulfate (FAS) and it rocks! My lawn is still dominating into Nov in Denver and neighbors all ask how and why. haha
Simple Green 6 0 0 Darker Green is even better. And I used to swear by Greene Effect
Yard looks great!
Thanks so much Susan! Good to see a non male commenter every now and again.
Yep, we female's r out there also! Lol second year for myself and learning alot. Using YM products and app, and I'll tell you my yard is looking pretty dang food so far this year! Still a ways to go but Rome was built in a day! 😂 keep up the great work and information coming!
Meant to say Rome wasn't built in a day. My typing is not the best! Lol
Looking good! I love GreeneEffect and mixing it with MicroGreene gives you even more of a color pop!
Absolutely! I’ve went overboard with that combo in the past lol. Super fun to play with for sure.
I just put this down yesterday. Hoping for goo results.
Lawn looks great Mr. Ferguson! 👍For future reference, although you have to be careful not to make a mess, I’ve found spray indicator dye helps to ensure an even application of high iron foliar products.
Yea, I've tried that way back in the beginning of spraying and it was so much of a mess it isn't worth it to me. Was hard to find in stores as well..surprisingly. I hear you though.
Doesnt matter how careful you are..that stuff just finds a way to get everywhere...
Great spray video. I'm still learning my new sprayer and walking pace.
As you see, me too!
Hope you get feeling better soon. I really like the 12-0-0 Midnight from the Lawn Whisperer. If you've never used it you should give it try. Yard is looking great. You probably worry about the same thing I do which is summertime heat. If our yards can stay looking this good through the summer until fall then mission accomplished. Keep pumping out the videos and I'll keep watching... take care
Ha thanks brother. I’ll look that stuff up, and heck yes…just trying to survive summer man! Thanks for the love bro.
A consistent pace is very important on the application rate. Great video
Always!
Nice job. I just applied Depth MFT. It made the lawn quite a bit darker. I believe it’s 4% iron with micros and peptides. Not sure if it’s snake oil, but I’m giving it a shot.
Awesome. Let us know what happens!
Great video and hope you feel better buddy.. God bless
Thanks man, feeling awesome now. Appreciate it.

What is the maximum temperature for applying Green Effect? Temps here in Louisiana are 97 day, 78 night. Thx
Great lawn .... I'm using a backpack sprayer and was wondering do i water in greene effect after I apply it to the lawn
Nope. Let it sit and be absorbed.
Lawn looking amazing right now Mr Ferguson
Thanks Nate...I just said the same thing walking in close to dark from golf. It's looking really nice now. Summer is knocking though!
Your lawn looks fantastic!!. We both seeded with Cool Blue about the same time last year and mine looks terrible. It's weak, light green and overall unhealthy looking. Used RGS, GreenPop and just about every N-Ext product but nothing darkens it up. Might be soil type and high humidity here in NJ but I threw some ryegrass over a small area to hold it over the winter and that cheap rye is the greenest, healthiest part of the yard. Soil test shows everything within limits but my soil is clay loam and don't think the GCI blend is the best for that. Unfortunately I did about 40,000 sq/ft and went through about 200lbs of seed. Going to do it over this fall with Black Beauty Ultra, another 200lbs after aerating. Nice job on your lawn. Maybe Pete's stuff only works below the Mason Dixon line. This damn Yankee ain't to happy with it.
Haha thanks Phil. Hope this fall it works out better for you. Maybe you are right, maybe it’s best for the south but not sure.
Where Pete is at in North Carolina, his natural soil is red clay. Very tough and solid.
Do you water it in? 9:59
what nozzle/adapter is that for your backpack sprayer?
GCI turfs special nozzles. You can find them on the website
Mr. Ferguson, what types of nozzles are you using?
GCI turf nozzles created by Pete. Teejet tips but the design is Pete's
How late in the season can you use green effect? November?? Thank you
You can use it whenever you like, but it’s primarily for summer. It’s low dosage of nitrogen. Spring and Fall you can use actual fert at higher amounts.
@@MrFergusonLawn so what do you recommend for winter survival fertilizer to apply in late October. I am in Ma. I will be aerating plus overseeding plus spreading organic compost along with a starter fertilizer. Doing this mid September. Then for last application winter survival fertilizer in late October. Anything else I should apply?? If so when? Thank you
Do u water the grass after or no? And what temp can u apply or cant apply?
Nope, it just absorbs through the leaf blades. No watering it in. Temps don't really matter, but you don't wanna go crazy with it in above 90's heat. Read the label and you should be ok.
@@MrFergusonLawn thanks
Cannot wait for next drone footage
Good to hear man. I’ll make it a point to throw some in next video or two. I’ve been flying it, just not used the footage.
Lawn is looking sharp and on point my friend. Love the Greeneffect. Certainly, made a difference. Keep up the great work friend.
Thanks Jeff! Enjoy your week sir
How many gallons does that backpack sprayer hold?
It hold 4 gallons. However with the upgraded nozzles, I mix it the way Pete at GCI suggests, with a 8 gallon mix.
Looking good my friend
Thanks my friend!
@@MrFergusonLawn try mixing 7-0-0 Green effect with 12-0-0 midnight by lawn whisper that midnight green grass
What nozzle are you using
GCI Turf nozzles. Came with Strom sprayer Pete sells, but he hand puts them together.
How often do you apply it?
Depends how much money you have, lol. I believe most will do it monthly or bi monthly in summer for a green look to the lawn.
@@MrFergusonLawn lol i was applying it everyday. You’re the first person to respond out of all youtubers. My St. Augustine now has a lot of thatch. Any suggestions?
What kind of sprayer was that?
If you are referring to the backpack sprayer, it’s made by STROM. You can find them on GCI academy website with Pete’s custom nozzles which I also have.
@@MrFergusonLawn
Thank you!!
Heck yeah Brotha 👍🏾….been pushing Hydretain for months now…lol….#ZONE9LIFE!🌴
Excellent my friend...ahead of the curve
What rubber boots are those?! I need a pair like that.
Off the top of my head I can’t remember lol. It was a gift from my brother. Super comfy, and I wear them in the yard all the time.
I thought 8 oz mixed with one gallon of water covered 1k Sf
Depends on your sprayer and nozzle setup. For me, and the GCI nozzles with the Strom sprayer, it puts out 8k sq ft of product in a single 4 gallon tank. That’s per the pdf with the sprayer from Pete at GCI. With the standard nozzle rate, you would be spot on: 4 gal = 4,000sq ft of coverage.
@@MrFergusonLawn do you have any link of the sprayer and nozzle I ask because your sprayer looked just like mine and it’s a flow zone cyclone2
Is Greene Effect absorbed foliarly or thru the soil? Maybe both? If it can be absorbed foliarly, then the darker trim pass may have occurred because that tip produced a finer mist than the bulk tip, enabling the product to stick to those grass blades slightly better. If this is the case, then the rest of the yard should catch up with the trim pass portions in a few days.
It absorbs it foliarly. No watering in this product after application. Either way, it will be just fine haha. No harm done to the lawn other than it looks a little wonky in a section. I can live with that and do better next go around.
OMG it looks so black now. Fabulous....... LOL That tiny misting of black goo did nothing to your grass. Waste of money and a no buy convincer to me.
LOL, it's not a waste of money. It's urea nitrogen & iron, but you do you, as we preach here on the regular. When you actually use it in person you can see a difference (depending on your N and Fe levels as well). The camera can't capture it all, but again, you spend your money as you wish! #'Merica
