Clubs like Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig are not really similar because they weren't founded for that reason.

That Crystal Palace save reminded me of when I got Vancouver FC to fifth place in the CPL regular season in my first FM save. Didn't get far after that, but I was just pleased as punch to have outperformed how the team actually did, in their real-life inaugural season, on my first go at this scary new (to me) video game I'd been dying to try. Next season MK Dons refused to loan him back to me but we had just gotten like 2.5m from some sell on clause for Ben Godfrey so I rented a dump truck and spilled 500k pound coins on the doorstep of Stadium MK and kidnapped him. He got golden boot in the VN and L2 before eventually petering out at Championship level. I tried everything to get him a Prem goal after we got promoted but he always bottled it, even when I put him on penalties. I wanted it for him so bad.
I've been on the other end of that 2-0 in the 90th minute in the 2nd match of my save with Hong Kong U23s (the club, not the NT), where we were 2-0 up with 90 seconds of stoppage time left in the 2nd half and drew 2-2. 😭

I haven't been sick enough to have to skip work for at least 10 years. I'm a peak human specimen when it comes to not getting sick. My boss doesn't know that though, as far as he knows i'm sick every few months. Those are my i want to chill and play video games days.
You're last comment of the video made me think about a player I had on fm23 a left back called Matt something or other. In real life he was a promising Welsh youth international who had a bad injury and ended up playing for a university side. I signed him for Solihull Moors in the national league. He played for me for 8 years til we made it to the Premier League as my starting left back the whole way up the leagues even when he "wasn't good enough" he was always my most effectual player on the left and had really good dead ball attributes so I kept him. In the Premier League I replaced him for like the third time and this time it stuck. But in the second half of the season when my first two LB's were out injured I played him for 3 games and he scored a freekick in his last game for the club. I was so emotional.
I deleted a whole save last year due to losing a FA Cup game in similar fashion. Up 3-0...give up an own goal in 85th minute, pen in 90th, a great solo goal to be fair in the 93rd, then a free kick rebound in 95th. Put all the players on the transfer list and resigned...then deleted the save. Was 6 seasons in a park to prem with Bath.
I actually have a comeback story like that that stuck with me, though definitely not that extreme. This was happening in FM23, my very first FM, I had started a save with my favourite irl team, FCSB of Romania. Heading into the third season it was going well, we had won the title in both previous seasons, made the Conference League RO16 and the CL group stage respectively. Now we were in the CL playoff once again against Dinamo Zagreb. First leg was an absolute drubbing at home, 0-2 the final scoreline. Battered and bruised but not out, we move into the away leg. It was a less spectacular game with 2 injury subs in the first half (one for each side, ours was a slight one but it was in the 14th min) but eventually in the 58th min they find a cross in that they duly head home, 3-0 on aggregate it is. In the 64th minute my ST picks up a slight injury too and time was running out anyway so I make my last subs replacing him with a certain Andrea Compagno. For context, Compagno is a 28 year old target man type (17 jumping reach ffs, 15 heading) that used to be my starter (and he used the starter for the irl club until the owner started singling him out for “bad performances” as he does and his form did end up falling off a bit this season, eventually he got sold to China this winter for a massive loss) until the second half of the last season when I replaced him with Ianis Stoica, the dude that was playing ST for me in this game until the injury. Stoica is a mobile 21 year old now that the game thinks has amazing potential. Indeed, in game he came out of the back of a great loan in the first season to score 33 goals for me in the second so the dude has earned his place, irl though he was constantly out on loan because he isnt exactly setting the world on fire, he left on a free this winter. Compagno even made me promise not to sell him when I offered him out once. Yeah, I am probably weak in the eyes of you all but if I hadnt bowed down what I am about to tell you would have never come to pass. And also I have played him so much that he is a team leader now so yeah. Well, the 66th min comes around and we have an attack. Sorescu (RB) throws the ball in to Pitu (RW) who gives it back immediately. A cross to Compagno ensues who heads the ball into the back of the net. Maybe there is still hope? Just 3 minutes later, we attack once again. My LW (Coman, my club captain) drops back to get the ball after my BBM got outmuscled before passing back to my LB and breaking free to receive the ball in the box near the goalline. He does a short pass to a Compagno that somehow found himself free to poke the ball in from 2 yards out. Wait, what???Imagine if we actually do this. Then the 78th min highlight happens. It starts with one of my CBs having possesion in the center circle. He passes it short to my DM . He releases Pitu in with a long ball down the right. He takes a touch before immediately passing to Compagno who is free once again and brilliantly finishes as I fall to my knees in front of my PC screen attempting to process what is unfolding before my eyes. 3-1 on the day, 3-3 on aggregate, definitely game on now. I praise the comeback and go back to cautious. A few minutes go by and then Dinamo starts generating highlights. Free kicks from 30 meters out are put into the box only for the headers to hit the post, my CBs seem to lose their heads for the first time ever and give away the ball stupidly a few times, I celebrate every time we get back possession like I am bloody San Marino playing France or something but we hold. I sub out one of the CBs that annoyed me with the newly-gained sub. Extra time was more even but at that point I was scared to go for it, I would absolutely take penalties now. And penalties we did have, though not before my captain Coman is forced off with a major injury too as we finished the game with 10 men through no fault of our own. Time for the pep talk. I don’t even remember what I told my players but quite a few did not respond well. It is what it is. Dinamo goes first. Penalty 1….was actually not the best shot but my keeper somehow fumbles it. 1-0. Compagno steps up to take ours, he actually misses with a weak shot down the right. The second series…they take a brilliant penalty, 2-0. Nothing the keeper could do about that. We do the same, 2-1. Series number 3 now. They score with another awesomely taken penalty, ours is saved once again. 3-1 with two more penalties on each side to go. Now we are really in trouble. Penalty number 4 for them…is saved!!!! It is actually saved! A good shot placed to the right but a great save by my GK, could we make yet another comeback here? Our penalty….is a goal too!!!! It went in off the post but they all count now don’t they? COME ON LADS! If we make this comeback once again we will be absolute heroes. However, they can still win if they score their final penalty…and they do, my keeper goes the wrong way. We are sent to the Europa League after all but what a match that was. We actually technically out XG ed them, it was 1.04-2.46 in our favour. I ended up playing for a couple more seasons, never again reaching the CL before I stopped due to a combination of computer issues and the absolute amount of time it takes to play through a season (maybe I didn’t optimise stuff like detail level and leagues loaded right tbf, as I said I was new), might start playing again when I can get that fixed

I was playing fm with schalke last game of season I was 1st level on points with 2nd and 3rd lost 5-0 from 5 corners and got a red card for an outrageous foul in the 4th minute than lost in the playoff match
Less impressive, because it wasn't a turnaround at the end of a match, but I once had my team score in the 12th, 12th and 15th minute. Both goals in the 12th minute were by the same player.

I have a coupe of players that have come up the divisions with me, all the way to the Prem. I signed David Amoo on loan from Liverpool when I was in L2 with Accrington Stanley. - he scored 47 goals that season as we went up as Champions. Signed him on a free when they released him in the summer... 9 years later, he's the clubs record scorer with around 200 goals, he's got a League Cup winners medal, and he's coming off the bench for me in the Europa League QF, in our second season in the top flight. He was my fourth choice striker at this point, but I couldn't let him go. I've also had a young striker come through my youth set up in my first season at Wrexham and go straight into the first team and carry me with his goal to the Prem, becoming the first choice striker for the Welsh team, buy the age of 22.
I've got a player from national league and we are in our second season in the championship but the team can't go up we would never get a point, two more years and he will play in the prem with us!!

I was playing fm with schalke last game of season I was 1st level on points with 2nd and 3rd lost 5-0 from 5 corners and got a red card for an outrageous foul in the 4th minute than lost in the playoff match
I gave up fifa a two week ago after seeing you play it and i dont want to go back

Less impressive, because it wasn't a turnaround at the end of a match, but I once had my team score in the 12th, 12th and 15th minute. Both goals in the 12th minute were by the same player.
I'm trying to use that 6 month instalment glitch thing to sign a guy I have on loan who I couldn't afford otherwise, and I can't seem to get it to work. Anyone got any advice? (I know it's basically cheating, but it's only myself I'm lying to!)

I signed David Amoo on loan from Liverpool when I was in L2 with Accrington Stanley. - he scored 47 goals that season as we went up as Champions. Signed him on a free when they released him in the summer... 9 years later, he's the clubs record scorer with around 200 goals, he's got a League Cup winners medal, and he's coming off the bench for me in the Europa League QF, in our second season in the top flight. He was my fourth choice striker at this point, but I couldn't let him go.
I've also had a young striker come through my youth set up in my first season at Wrexham and go straight into the first team and carry me with his goal to the Prem, becoming the first choice striker for the Welsh team, buy the age of 22.
