My favourite SYS yet. This has to be the main approach going forward. Having a convo with the person is simply leagues ahead of the original SYS format. I hope we see more of this in the future.
@@goode612 those who don’t like getting recorded can just do audio but you reach a certain age where you just don’t care about how you look behind a camera bro
We need a ‘show off your saves’ series for some of these people, would be fun to see what some people have achieved with weaker squads or what disgustingly strong squads players have been able to assemble
only if SecondYellowCard makes a surprise appearance with MTK lol. Seriously though think that would be a great idea, but the issue may be for Zea is making sure it isn't being save scummed (and I've used save scumming this year because this is my first year back since FM05/CM04)
Would love to see that lmfao at Flamengo I have 6 world class players, one 24 year old who looks like the next Messi, world Goalkeeper of the year, 1B in transfer debt and over 1B projected debt BUT we turned Brazil and Copa Libertadores into a one club dynasty :D
Love seeing the updates on the saves as well. I think SYS has suffered a bit from not knowing whether the save was ACTUALLY saved, so this is wonderful 👏
I don't know how many SYS videos you've watched. I had a save saved back on FM21 in Belarus that I still play. When Z saw the save the year was 2024 when I was still trying to break into Europe for the 1st time in my 3rd season in the top flight. It's now 2039, and I've won 9 of the last 10 league titles including the last 5 (the one I didn't win required a club to break the league points record to beat me) and 6 straight Belarusian Cups. Financially I'm in good shape (rich) with $48 million in the bank and a $28 million transfer budget that I'm being frugal about spending since I haven't been getting big money offers for my players (the club record is a deal I did last summer for $6 million guaranteed, that could rise to $10 million if he hits all his clauses and he's already triggered at least one of them). Europe has been frustrating me. In the last 4 seasons we've made the UCL Group Stage back-to-back years (finishing bottom both times), then lost in the UCL 3rd Qualifying Round the last 2 years before finishing 2nd in our UEL group both seasons--eventually losing in the QF 2 years ago and in the 1st Knockout Round last season.
Big fan of this format, Z. I like that you can coach through issues and give the players a platform to share their successes as well as their frustrations.
Everyone's save felt more like a flex than a sys. The last guy was the only one that had a serious issue that plagues basically every club. Would be fun to see a sys with like 3-5 stars and important players out on injury for like 4 months or more while the team has serious fixture congestion, and european football, or a save that failed FFP and a bunch of players that are super upset and wanting to go to other teams because of it.
Thats pretty much everyone of these videos because we think of a team that needs saving should be in relegation fights but most people who watch Zealand are pretty good at the game lol maybe saving your save he should release slower at get better ones and helping your save would be better for these.
Well, there are some UA-camrs (like in HOI4) that receive 'disaster saves' and try try to fix them. It may be an interesting video series. They may be set up badly on purpose, or they are genuinely FUBAR situations, made most likely by some beginners. And see how it works out from there. Worth a thought?
Really appreciate the depth on this approach. Going from that 2 mins speedrun collab for last SYS to this live interaction really shows Z stepped up, understanding what was done wrong in that last video. Awesome delivery, hope to see more of this!
I agree with the sentiment of the comments section. This was a great version of SYS with the person talking with Zealand to get feedback and then an update of what happened over the next season or so in the save. I'd certainly enjoy seeing this format again in the future.
SYS is awesome in its own right, this is taking things to the next level! keen to see the master continue to do his thing. always sad finishing these videos knowing the next one wont be for a while 😭
I really liked how we got to see a little more about what happened after you "saved" the save. This "what happens next" needs to become a regular occurrence :D
With or without the conversations with the other person, the “what happened afterwards” info is amazing. Please continue that with or without the live chat!
Brilliant new format. The follow up is the best bit - love seeing what they achieved once they'd had your advice. Only one negative point woul be maybe the saves you save should be vetted a bit better to start with. The first two in this didn't need saving!
It could become two separate series, 'save your saves' for teams that are doing terrible and need help and 'achieve your ambitions' or something for teams that are doing well but just can't get over that last hurdle of winning the league/CL.
I really loved how he helped Joel out and really encouraged him as a new player, a nice reminder that not everyone has been playing for 10 years and that you can be successful and have fun if you’re new to the game
It brought a tear to my eye seeing young Joel, already clearly bitten by the FM bug- in real time- getting introduced to an aspect of the game that will lose him hundreds of hours of his life.
It's crazy to see his growth really. Started watching him early to mid 2020, when he had about a few thousand subscribers and was averaging like a few thousand views and now look at him. It's insane
I love this format. You can take your time and also talk to the person that sent the save, although it would be a lot more interesting if the saves had people with serious issues. I know not winning everything may seem weird for pros at the game, but I'm sure a lot of people out there are struggling to avoid relegation while having the dress room against them and a bunch of injuries without money to get new players. Now that'd be hilarious to try to save
I can imagine this being a more time consuming format of SYS, but I really liked the interaction one can get while getting his savegame reviewed. Props! A little critique only would be to not to remove yourself from the mic too much while talking. All with all very good material though!
For club legends that are declining rapidly I've found it's usually best to loan them to your associate club (at least dynamics wise). You don't have to offer them for loan, loan list them, undergive them playing time or any other thing you could think of that would ruin your team chemistry
I agree with Zealand about his suggestion to lower defensive line and pressing line against better team. I usually did that against better team in my Vaduz save, and it did work most of the time. I pulled some unthinkable giant killing moments thanks to that. Also putting your team mentality on balanced against better team is also a good idea too.
Loved having the submitter right there with you Z, I really hope this becomes the standard format going forward. Same with showing us what happens after the fact.
If you can't sell a player, loaning him out for salary + monthly fees is also a good option. Although you might be stuck with him again after the loan ends, you weren't paying his salary/full salary during that loan period and potentially making a profit depending on the player
I'm managing Brentford in my second season and after playing around with some tactics, I fell into a streak of poor performances which I couldn't get out of. However after watching this video and applying some of the tips from Zealand I was able to bounce back up and save my position!
Been watching your videos for years! But this is my first time interacting on your channel via a comment. I usually consider myself the GOAT of taking small clubs to new heights and constantly overachieving and never ever would have thought myself to be in the position of asking for support on a save... EVER! But i'm currently 11 seasons into a save with Cefn Druids (My local club) in Wales. I have got to the point where nobody who would improve my team wants to join me despite me having over 60M in the bank, constantly making the CL groups and having good facilities. Not even young prospects want to join me so I cannot even grow youngsters up that will come into my team and improve it! Once they turn 19 they get kicked out of my U19 because they are too old so they are stuck in limbo not being good enough for my 1st team and being too good for all other top flight teams so can only go on loan to England where they won't get any home grown status i'm stuck with small squads of 18-20 for league and CL PLEASE SAVE MY SAVE
bro watching a british dude manage my Home Town team Panserraikos, while i know our reputation, between 0-20 should be around -5, is so fun... Rooting for this dude!
Best format possible, from the timed one (which imho was not good, not useful for the player) to this one, major step. If this could be the regular one, maybe even diluted in time so to properly edit it, that would be awesome.
Actually preferred this to the usual sys! 👀 Was great to hear some natural tactical chatter like two coaches on a sideline 😊 warmed my football bones! Hope we see more!
I play a system similar to the Ibiza 5 back, but my roles are very different. Lwb is cwb on attack(he was a left footed rw with decent defensive stats so I taught him wing back), left striker is pf on attack, rs is advanced forward. I also have my cms much more defensive and tend to sit deeper. Cbs are wcbs with the center being bad on cover. It's a nightmare to match up against.
a video idea (as it could be good for views and be edited to make Zealand and ego bigger), is going back on saving saves and seeing what the results were. I know there were popups of what happened before the next instance came along, but maybe a minute or so to show that (if the other preson is able to)
These is a better way of doing that . U don't drop lines , but u drip positions , those 2 CM drop down to 2 DMs , play single forward with 2 amc behind him , so essential it would be 3-4-0-2-1 formation , then u can always keep standard or higher lines n won't have that problem , just those CD need to be 2 BPD on sides n DC cover in the middle , CWB or WB support
Looking at his tactics I have a set tactics I just been recently working on with Novara FC originally serie C have them now sitting steady Mid Serie B did have them promoted in second season to serie A but reload after a horrid season and flung the cup game lol. My team wasnt ready by far but now sitting mid table and these new tactics may very well be the perfect balance and going from his players he would slot right into my tactics and I think it would open teams up.
8:55 Exactly that shit is just realistic. Look how long it took Man City to finally break through and win a UCL. In a single game or even double leg single elimination tournament even the beat team probably has a less than 50% chance of winning. Depending on the length of the tournament it’s gets even harder. Like the best team probably only wins the NCAA like 25% of the time…
I preferred using 433 narrow formation against PSG or way better team in CL. You can use 3 DM (Halfback, and two Segundo Volante or something in support), then use one Second Striker and two AF for triangle attack in counter tactics, win on number in every counter attack. I think that should be more effective than some Mourinho Sh*t tactics.
My favourite SYS yet. This has to be the main approach going forward. Having a convo with the person is simply leagues ahead of the original SYS format. I hope we see more of this in the future.
Totally agreed! Also the part after each clip where it's edited in how they ended up doing after receiving help, it's cool to see
Great content and amazing marketing for the game tbh
Tbh a lot of people wouldn’t like getting recorded, so hopefully he has both versions AND reccomends the non recording form more
3 center def, two higw wingbacks, three center mids, one hanging striker and one in front
@@goode612 those who don’t like getting recorded can just do audio but you reach a certain age where you just don’t care about how you look behind a camera bro
YES this is absolutely the best way to do the save your saves, please continue to do SYS vids like this going forward
We need a ‘show off your saves’ series for some of these people, would be fun to see what some people have achieved with weaker squads or what disgustingly strong squads players have been able to assemble
100% behind this comment, would also like to see some ridiculous saves people have nurtured over time
only if SecondYellowCard makes a surprise appearance with MTK lol. Seriously though think that would be a great idea, but the issue may be for Zea is making sure it isn't being save scummed (and I've used save scumming this year because this is my first year back since FM05/CM04)

Absolutely crapping his pants

The first guy clearly needed help, he had an insane team but never could progress
There's a guy playing with a team called Taunton FC that's having those exact problems. You should watch his stream. It's quite fun.
The guy managing Nottingham Forest I think was legitimately stuck, the first two were doing fine

It brought a tear to my eye seeing young Joel, already clearly bitten by the FM bug- in real time- getting introduced to an aspect of the game that will lose him hundreds of hours of his life.
This was the best SYS yet, absolutely loved it and having the dialogue with the players and understanding their reasoning makes it even better.

I love the follow up stuff with what the guys did after the Zealand intervention. Keep that up when possible editing team - you guys are awesome!
I love this format. Especially the update on how effective your advice was
Kinda put off watching this for a day or two but it was class. Love to see more

This is easily the best SYS video you’ve done, love the format
The mini updates inbetween are gold! Please keep the series like this Z!
this is so good - love that they can also present and "defend" themselves

Subbed because of this format. Great interaction and relatable.
Finally🙌!!! Am I the only one who's been checking this channel frequently for an SYS video?
Seeing the results from your tips is really cool. Loved the first save

Just getting around to this video - awesome concept! I feel like I learned more than I usually do with SYS videos
9:55 Love that transfer business. I’m great at picking up free agents in the summer and selling them in January. Best was £26 million.

The formation at 21:00 is the classic formation for all Brazilian league clubs in some older FMs (i'm thinking FM15, but not sure)
nice addition to an already great series man
0:12 Simon's about to get his save saved mmm
I like this format. I don’t care if the video is a hour long I’ll watch it…
Best format of Sys yet :D
I love this way of SYS. Please keep it up
That awkward moment of being on a zoom call with Zealand as he sings 'loans' at you for 10 minutes.
Best format so far
The Moukoko situation felt like bringing an expert in for a bomb disposal
a video idea (as it could be good for views and be edited to make Zealand and ego bigger), is going back on saving saves and seeing what the results were. I know there were popups of what happened before the next instance came along, but maybe a minute or so to show that (if the other preson is able to)
Love this evolution of SYS!
Definitely better than the old system, please keep it like this

this is such a better way to do SYS. cant wait for the next one
Keep this up! Awesome format.
I only play FM on PS and these do quite help me
This series doesn't need a gimmick
best one yet, I want more crazy tactics
Love the upgrades. Made a good series great!
Love the Dortmund shirt, pure class
BEST CONCEPT EVER!!!
This format is much better
This is such a good concept
I like this concept. More please. 🙏
2:33 looks like a bit of a Berbatov to me, the rarest of all pokemon.
This is like Saving Your Disaster Battles by LegendOfTotalWar but for FM by Zealand and without any cheese.
Did the last guy dirty with that thumbnail 😂

Can we find a Zealand Regen in FM ?? 🤷
Never played FM so I don’t understand anything 😂 but the video was still fun to watch!
