So true! But I gotta say Anders Fridén's voice sounds way better than Tomas Lindberg's. If Anders did a side project with the At the Gates guys it would probably sound a lot like this.
I am so happy for the guys in Orbit Culture. To be on a North American tour with In Flames. So amazing. I will see them in their hometown in August. But I would love to see in NA too. Have never been to LA but they are gonna play at the Whiskey. would be something to experience.
I was at the Sweden Rock Festival performance in one of the front rows. Although 20 min late bc of some passport issues in Copenhagen, they put on one hell of a show. All my metal-head friends who was at that concert was in a state of euphoria after that performance. The sound was a bit sketchy at times but it was one of the best performances of the whole festival. I hope they will release some footage from the show later on.

There is a fire in In Flames. 20+ years of waiting for proper music finally over. Let's hope the album will match this track. The shit airfreshner analogy... I almost pissed myself laughing
The swedish metal wonder, we dominant the world 😉 big thanks for a great UA-cam channel. ps you have missed out of two great swedish releases in June, Darkane and Diakron. Keep up the good work 🤟
This was good, I like this direction if they stick with it. But this feels like Reroute to Remain era In Flames. Doesn't quite scratch that melodic itch the way THE does for me personally.
Yes! Was there and they debuted the song and it was insane. The halo effect played their whole album that will come sometimes in oktober if I'm not misremembering and the halo effect was fucking awesome!
Man I miss so many concerts and tours... Last concert I saw in flames in was the Lamb of God concert in NA back at the end of 2011 with hate breed and sylosis... I would love to see in flames in concert again
Brutal new track. I personally like the sound of these riffs over anything the halo effect so far. I hope the other songs on the halo effect album have this same intensity 🔥
I must agree, this was better than any song on the previous album. It was good album, still this was better than any of those songs. Ending was a bit lame, but everything else just kicked ass.
They had to up the ante because of The Halo Effect. And they did not dissapoint. However, is this better than ANY of The Halo Effect’s singles released so far? I think no. The melodic solo was killer, the beat was killer. But Andreas Friden’s vocals just can’t match Mikael Stanne’s. Once you’ve heard Stanne’s perfect yet expressive growl, everyone else is going to sound lesser in some way. But I’m so glad we’ve seemingly got TWO amazing melodeath records coming up this year.
I like Anders wider ranged scream style a bit better, especially from this new track. I wish Stanne would change up his vocals a bit more because it sounds very samey and weak sometimes imho 🤷♂️
@@SadashiFox different from what everybodys saying about In Flames these times, I believe that what is dragging the songs down are the instrumental whichs being weak af on the late albums. Yeah, Anders vocals are not the same as before but Jesper is sadly the missing element on the band, he is a fucking genious and The Halo Effect is proving single after single that he was In Flames' cornerstone.
Great reaction, lads. Loved the song but that finish was lacking, agreed. As a Jesterhead for over 20 years this was very surprising. Anders got his unique scream back which is huuuge (add Trump voice) for me. My favorite screamer is back! He just needs to ditch the cleans. Someome needs to grow some balls and tell him he can't sing cleans. Live it is even worse. Ruins the chorus completely. Same style of cleans mixed with scream from Come Clarity album would be ideal here. Song reminds little bit of Take this Life which is not bad at all. In Flames and Orbit Culture together is dream come true. Well, North Americans, enjoy and cherish that. Wish I could attend
This song felt like early soilwork than in flames. Take a song like nuerotica rampage off predators portrait or hell even chainheart song itself ya know Edit: love soilwork just as an fyi
Dude guys I'm there with ya guys...sept is a killer month...check out their vip pass for in flames. Q&a session, meet and greet, photos signed tour poster and set list...I'll be there in jersey. New In Flames? I am intrigued, but kinda doubtful, let's see. EDIT: I was supriced, best stuff since 2003 from them by quick listen. I wonder if it would get better when ran through tapedeck-recording few times so the master-quality sounds a bit more dungeony.
Best In Flames in a verrrrrrrrrry long time. Over 10 years at least! I wasn't a fan of the clean singing (admittedly never been a fan of Anders voice, esp. the clean vocals), but I can overlook that as the rest of this song is a banger. Even the ending didn't bother me overly. What will bother me is if this is it, and the rest of their next album is Mall Metal garbage.
Cool riffs and all but nothing special tbh. Sounds good because their music has been pretty mediocre for the last 10 years so this sounds amazing in comparison. Any song by the Halo Effect blows this one out of the water though, but props to In Flames. Solid 8.
Will probably be a misleading single and the heaviest track on the album... everything else will probably be nu metal reroute stuff. Anders vocals are the weak link, here.
@@SadashiFox yea I gotta say he does sound pretty good here. I never really had any problems with his vocals. With me it was more of the musical direction they went in. God must be 15 years now since they just completely abandoned that melo death Gothenburg sound
Awesome reaction guys! Now I'll be talking to IF fans in general: I'm not falling for the hype. This song is amazing don't get me wrong. But sonically is no comeback to roots, thats pure bs. In Flames were sounding this good since ASOP just with different production 🤷🏽♂️ Does that little more blast beats make such a huge difference? Seriously?
In Flames have returned to their roots.
In Flames are truly back.
At The Gates Blinded By Fear with the In Flames touch !

@@thepredator666qc4 I agree, I hate how Anders sounds too, but I hate how Tomas sounds even more lol. He sounds like a sick dog.
Big agree, so much at the gates classic energy with In Flames flare
They took that sound people loved them for in the early 2000's, and evolved that in a direction I think a lot of people would have been happy with.
This is the In Flames we all love and expected for years!
I am so happy for the guys in Orbit Culture.

Welcome BACK! They are doing what they can do best again: SWEDISH MELODIC FUCKING DEATH METAL! FINALLY! WHAT A BANGER!
It seems The Halo has created some effect 😀
I don't see any connection tbh
Oh man, they finished the song on the cliffhanger! Cant wait to hear what's about to come! 😍🔥

The best song since Take This Life!
I'm actually frightened at how GREAT this song is
well I mean, they just rewrote Blinded by Fear, so of course it's a banger lol...
There is a fire in In Flames. 20+ years of waiting for proper music finally over. Let's hope the album will match this track.
The shit airfreshner analogy... I almost pissed myself laughing
This is what we needed to hear from In Flames ❤️
Clayman & Colony vibes
Rather Blinded by Fear by At the Gates. :D
I haven't enjoyed Inflames since Come Clarity! That was nice and good to see them back with something legit
I actually liked the last album. Thought it was the best album since A sense of Purpose.
The new song is dope \-/
For a second I thought this was an At The Gates cover. I was thinking of the song Blinded By Fear, these both sound very similar.
Best IF song for years 🤘

To me,the ending of the song is perfect.I never had the feel there is something more to come
They bring back the long awaited "old school"in flames"
I agree, the ending was awesome too!
Battles teased them going back to their 90s/early 2000s sound, but it has come full circle on this track...brings back the nostalgia \m/
The end of this song was coitus interruptus, lol.... I hope this happens because it's a single and the real song at the album has more to show us. :)
At last, back to the "roots" :) The Jester Race! Kötta på!!
Not at all updated on who writes what in In Flames today but I got some strong Jesper Strömblad vibes.
🤘
Well Jesper left in 2010, so probably safe to say it's not him :)

I dig it. I can't say that about an IF track since RTR. I still think Halo Effect lit a fire under them.
