There is a solo/lead that starts at 4:14 on the album track if you could call it that. The songs about suicide and depression though, which in a way can be the love you have for someone who can’t see the light on the other side. The band has some very lyrically heavy songs as well as musically. One of the best melodic metal bands of the past 30 years, pioneers of their genre and this was a very different album to most of their catalogue sound wise. They’ve done wicked game on an ep which was great. Come clarity the title track is about his daughter as inspiration to keep going, beautiful song, one of their best albums.
I'm a proud swede 🇸🇪 We have in my opinion many good band and singers 🤘 And this is one of the band 💥 This is one of my favorites with In Flames ❤️ Thank you for this reaction 🙏
Thank you Eric , and much appreciation as always from our family . We absolutely loved your breakdown. Only here can we not only get a breakdown of a song or a composition ,but also learn from a true inside source from someone with over 30 plus years of experience in the music industry what the music and Radio industry is really about ... and what sadly we are misssing in so many of the groups you breakdown on your show so again ,Thank you brother as it was a very nice surprise last night when we saw you did this video. Btw , may I also a shout out add a thank you to Tria for her hard work on th discord channel ... so awesome . Also to Valtte , kevin , HCH and of course Marika for their moderator work and contributions to the fun and frivolity of whats know as : The Wyldeside with Eric Clark . Lastly thank you to all the Concurpas ( The best damn Subscibers out there ) making it fun as well .
I saw them live at Graspop in June this year and they were great. This song was not on the set list unfortunately, it should have been, it's a great song.
Hi Eric. Love song... not exactly. Its about mental health and suicide. Stay with me, if not forever but for an hour or so to start with. After that , lets se if we can make it through the night. Maybe tomorrow and next week. Stay with me ❤
Thanks Eric. This didn't even sound like metal to me. I thought it was going to be another growling speed freak guitar solo kind of song judging by the name of the band but instead I got a Christian vibe. The song is very melodic and I like the video. I will have to listen to it again. That melody line is constant throughout the song and that's what holds it together for me.
They’re one of the most well known of the Swedish metal bands, particularly Gothenburg which has its own style. The riff style in this somewhat known as Gothenburg style picking.
May want to take a look at Angelina Jordan's black and white version of "I put a spell on you" at age 9yr 2months. You will not be disappointed. Child prodigy that turnd 18 on Jan 10th. Signed with Republic Records on 2020. Performs barefoot to remind her of all the less fortunate children in the world. Youngest published author on Norway at age 9. Won Norway's Got Talent at age 7-8. Over 200 covers and 11 originals.
@@JonnyCrackers Depends if lame equals to bad or lame because it's a slower song? Correct me if I'm wrong but you sound like one for who In Flames should be all Lunar Strain and nothing else. The internet is full of these types. Also this song is more powerful than lame in a sense.
Yeah you're one of those. "Boohoo it's a generic pop ballad instead of being a generic melodeath song". You probably listen to genre so you should know that all fast Gothenburg sound and melodic deathmetal songs are basically the same(In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Bloodred Hourglass, The Halo Effect etc.) and then one does something differently it's sooo bad amirite.
Fantastic band, fantastic song
Powerful lyrics. Beautiful and emotional vocals.

Never going to take serious a reaction without headphones
I am SO looking forward to seeing them again in May! 🤘❤️
Can't wait for my 3rd In Flames gig later this year
This isnt the In Flames that I remember! I have their album 'Whoracle' on cd, very melodic death metal.

Lamest song in their entire catalog.
Edgelord :D
@@gashix How is that edgy?

In Flames has so much better songs. This one is 2/10.
