Expect bad men who don't care what they are taught to take advantage of you when you wear inappropriate things. Also, it is respectful to the men around you to wear modest clothing since they have a stronger drive for sex and are very visually turned on. This will help them to respect you more and will lessen the temptation that your body on display would bring. I don't know if you dress this way or not. I just took your meaning of wearing whatever you want as something along those lines since most people don't object to modest clothing.

I don’t understand such. Of course sexual desire is going to be a present factor.
Men are much less selective in species and are more generally aroused by females than females are by males.
A man will most likely have arousal to a woman if she is doing something attractive as that’s just natural.
By the same logic I could say to women we are like candy because women have arousal to men.

I was going to an arcade with my youth group and I saw a girl there that had a very nice skirt. As an Indian, teenage girl, I’m really not allowed to wear shorts or crop tops. Even if the shorts come almost up to my thighs or even if the crop tops reach my waist. Is extremely sad how the men treat women. Not just here, but around the world. We cannot wear sleeveless that much or anything that has a slightly low neck. All this why? Because somebody hasn’t bothered to teach their son about respect. My family is very forward and supportive of me dressing according to the trends so only when they’re around, I’m ok with wearing proper clothes. But what about when I move out and start living on my own? Do I have to only wear clothes that will only show my neck and ankles? And if we wear something even the least revealing, let’s say shorts that come up to your knees, men will stare, try to touch you, whistle etc. what kind of an environment is this for anyone to grow up in? And I don’t depend on anyone for transport, so I cycle almost everywhere. I’ve been chased by men who wanted to touch my legs, or butt. I seriously wish the mothers would take the initiative to teach their sons about this and them to be gentlemen and RESPECT not only woman, but EVERYONE.

'NO YOUR PRETTY' THAT LINE IS ICONIC!!!
As gen z we are slaying in telling women and girls that they are pretty because in case of millenials its the opposite like my mom is a millenial she has insecurities like she is dark and too thin whereas women of her age have gained weight and all i hype her up telling her she is beautiful just the way she is and that to me she is very pretty but whenever she goes to hangout with her friends and to parties every other women tells her that she is too thin and highlight all her flaws and my mom's confidence in herself goes down like thats so sad

I'm from Bangladesh and what the first woman said is sooo true.
In South East Asia and many others places, they teach women that they should not instigate men's sexual desires by wearing "inappropriate" clothes instead of teaching boys to behave appropriately and treat women with respect.
I'm only 13 and I can't even wear a t-shirt in my own house and when I try to speak up against it I'm told that I'm to sensitive.😑
