Here we have my buddies Husqvarna Mower in for a no start issue! He tried to repair the carb himself and ended up ruining it to the point it needs to be replaced!
Carb# 799584 and the cheapest price is on eBay!
After I got the new carb installed and gave it yank! Recoil was busted and I had to order a new one!
Recoil ASM: 593959
I have never done one of these but was fairly simple to swap out
Now if through away the home our lever or damaged it!
Part# 591104 which costs more than the carb LOL

My motor randomly shuts off, acts like engine brake is disengaged. No slack in cable or bar to press looks normal. You can sometimes bob and pul handle quick to catch it before it dies but it may shut off before then you got to restart engine then it goes on its way again. I can't find and reference. Only thing I hear is catborator issu?? Starts usually first pull and runs well. So why is that carb issue? Shuts off like you hit a key or got off a seat (similar safety switch idea)?? Idk no where in manual or internet knows.
After it dies...does it fire right back up or does it need to sit for a while and then restart?
a) if it dies and needs to sit for a while in order to restart its the coil (test for spark to make sure)
b) if it runs and dies but fires away immediately it could be the fuel system...there is an inline fuel filter. Its on the gas tank side. Pull it and clean it.
Carbs are cheap jets/diaphrams are cheap. There is nothing wrong with loading the parts cannon. I use these to fix machines with no start issues as well as surging issues. I try to clean them first. amzn.to/44UXvod

@@reggeckmann3993 as soon as it dies you can start it back up 1-2 pulls.
Sounds like a fuel issue…
I would start with cleaning out the fuel filter. Wouldn’t hurt to replace the fuel line…over time they break down internally and clog the carb up.
It depends on how much Diag time you want to commit vs spending money on parts. Remove air filter cover…secure bail handle down and start the machine. As soon as the machine starts to die down get some starting fluid or gas in a spray bottle and squirt it into the carb. If the machine continues to run you have a fuel issue. If it continues to die you have other issues.
Well cleaned fuel line and emptied tank and put everything back. Ran good didn't shut off until bag full actually ran two bags. Last 20 foot empty grass bag can't restart it. The carb was dirtied up before. Do I need new carb or plastic orafaces? Idk see what is wrong.
@@reggeckmann3993 I’m thinking your carb is getting clogged up.
Clean the carb again…just out of curiosity did you notice any black specs in the carb? If so time to replace the fuel line as it is internally breaking down.
Those 2 screws are 8mm top and 7 mm on the bottom carburetor screws also 7mm.

I already replace carburator, spark plug, fresh gas, clean all debris. I only see a transmission spring hanging but I think that’s not the cause of not starting. Any other suggestion?

Is there a updated carb for the Husky Lc221a?? It has a new air filter. Sparkplug looks fine. Hose from tank looks fine too. Do i throw a carb on it or send to repair shop. Won't start no matter how many cranks 16:45 16:45
There is no updated carb…
Have you tried using starting fluid/gas into the carb to see if it turns over?
If it does it’s a fuel issue and just replace the carb if you cleaned it out a bunch of time

I was cutting some tall wet grass, then it died on me. It won't restart.

It could be possible the tall wet grass broke the flywheel keyway and you are now out of timing.

Moisture or debris in the carburetor, try a thorough cleaning.
I'm not a big fan of the newer B&S engines.
Hey! Its been while! Hope the season is treating you well! These engines are a love hate relationship. I don't like the carbs that the carbs are plastic and we have transfer the choke lever. Itas made of plastic...it will go through cycles of hot and cold and ruin the molecular compostion and cause issues down the line. What I do like...cleaning out the plastic jet is easy peasy and OHV design...no need to lap valves. just adjust. Hopefully you subscribed!
