    Whatever racquet hits good backhands, 170 mph second serves, and almost no errors is my favorite racquet. I always seem to buy racquets that’ hit weak serves, shanks backhands, and makes 15-40 errors per set.

    I bought two of the 310. I have used the rf, the last wawrinka vcore pro and the 95. In between I tried technifibre head speed head prestige babolat pure strikes and so on. The 310 landed in between of what I enjoyed of the 95 and wawrinka vcore pro. I noticed to get full spin potential on the racquet the snap of the strings when they are stretched with the wrist allows a heavy ball that has quite a bit of power. For regular counter pushers I would not recommend this racquet whatsoever. The 1h backhand feels solid but harder to whip for the right spin. At the level of 105-110 mph serve the racquet does begin to feel a bit unstable but adding a small amount of lead tape such as he said in the video helps with these problems. If you like the 95 this isn’t better, if you like the wawrinka this isn’t better. If there was something you didn’t like about wawrinka maybe the weight and more stiffer frame of the 95 this one might be for you

    Bought Vcore Pro 97 today. Added Solnico Hyper G soft, strung at 22 kg. Completed my first session and all I can say is that this racquet is well balanced, plenty of power, with amazing control. However, it will not forgive sloppy shots out of the sweet spot. Good leg work and quality technique will make this racquet shine quite a lot. Im so happy with this purchase. I was so afraid that this weapon will be underpowered, but oh boy it plays like a dream.

    Pulled the trigger on a 97H today at my local shop. Found one with a SW of 306 which is right about where I like it. Out of the 3 I looked at, the unstrung SW measurements ranged from 306 to 312. For anybody who's picky about the SW they like, it's a good idea to use a matching service or buy locally.

    Just got my 97H and have played with it for 7-8 hours, and it’s by far the best frame on the market for me after trying pretty much all the similar offerings from Yonex, Head, Wilson, prince, volkl, and prokennex. The only competition is the gravity pro and blade 98. The blade requires too much customization and lacks control in the 16X19, the gravity pro lacks stability if you swing hard. Can’t recommend the 97H enough if you’re an athlete who’s 185+ lbs, swings hard, and are a fiend for feel/pocketing like myself.

      counter balance whatever you place in the hoop in the butt cap of the racket. ie, if you place 2 grams at 12, place 1.5-2 grams in the handle of the racket, or under the grip if you like. if you prefer lead at 3 and 9, I'd say its probably 1 gram in the handle for every 2 grams you add at 3 and 9.

      This gen VCP is slightly more powerful than the previous, but your choice depends on a few things, mainly racket head speed. If you swing slow or with massive top spin, and don’t plan on developing your game beyond 4.0, and want a crisp stick that can send the ball to the fence, go vcore 98. If you prefer comfort, feel, precision, and want to improve your tennis game, go Vcore Pro. But I’d highly recommend demoing both as well as a gravity tour and blade 98.

    I don’t hate the color. Tennis in general is a colorful sport, whether it’s the apparel the sneakers and so forth. Colors are a part of the sport. So colors are fun. However I do think that if you just asked a person who don’t follow the sport , “ is this a female racquet or a male racquet? “ Based on the color alone, most will say it’s a Ladies racquet. I initially thought that it was a Naomi styled version. So I think it’ll be nice if brands in general can have 2 options. Something that pops like this and something more neutral like an all black or gray.

Tried the last generation and felt the HD lacked a little lift, stability, and put away power, but was a laser at placing shots and serves. The previous 330 felt a bit too stiff for me and didn’t quite have the precision of the HD, but I ripped so many winners with it. If they released a vcore pro 97 16X20 325G @ 61 RA, (97X perhaps?) that would be the racket of choice. Got the 97D and 97 coming as demo’s as well, will probably end up with both the 97H and 97D. Seems the major difference is the string pattern and stiffness

    The 97D is butter on the one hander. I was using a radical mp prior to it and it was shank city. With this thing - even when I’m pulled out wide and in a really awkward position - I still somehow always manage to contact clean. Yonex REALLY knows how to make sticks.

    • @nwongs01
      @nwongs01 Рік тому

      Hi - I just got 97D also, may I ask what string and tension that works for you? I am also a one hander and currently experimenting different tensions.

    • @Onanastic
      @Onanastic Рік тому

      @@nwongs01 all comes down down to preference, but I’m personally big on *relatively* low tension. Anywhere from 48-52 ib. Lower tension really helps you feel that tactile ballpocketing sensation you don’t really get at higher tensions. I’d recommend a decently firm poly like yonex polytour rev 125 at about 51. I personally use polytour rev at about 50 ibs. Follow up question, do you generally find yourself to be a flat hitter? Or are you more spin-oriented?

    • @nwongs01
      @nwongs01 Рік тому

      @@Onanastic thanks for the reply. With the history of elbow issue in the past, I’ve opted to multifillament string. I strung one with 54 lbs which is the same as what I had played before on the Blade 98, and strung another one at 50 Ibs. So far I preferred the 50 Ibs a little more, the 54 Ibs felt stiff. In terms of spin, I like playing with top spin and I can decently generate top spin with fh. On the 1hbh, I think my shot is quite flat.

    Great review like always! question tennis lovers: I'm an advanced player who plays with a PureAero 2018, I enjoy the spin and power that generates but I'm looking for something with more control, just a bit without sacrificing to much spin... Is this Vcore an option? I was thinking to switch to PureAero VS

    • @XRSimFIFA
      @XRSimFIFA 3 роки тому

      Having hit with all 3… IMO switching to a Vcore pro from a PureAero would be quite drastic of a shift. The feel is completely different (PureAero is much livelier/stiffer). PureAero VS is exactly what you described and has a similar feel to the PureAero albeit a bit less stiff and a bit lower powered. It’s a good frame. You should demo it if you can.

      @@rubi833dpt I think it’s great. I don’t add any additional weight other than dampener and overgrip. The racquet is perfect for my taste just as it is, no led needed. Maneuverability is just perfect. My biggest strength is how much of the court I can cover, which can sometimes make the people I play with over hit their shots. I don’t feel that the racket weighs me down on my defensive play. Quite the contrary, actually, for it makes it easy to really let the arm go when trying to go from defense to offense without generating too much racket speed and hitting the fence. Thanks Karu, really great video.
    Quick one, the HD has a really small sweet spot, how's the sweetspot on the D, 2021 version?
    Aside, I also found rhe HD sluggish but added 6 gms to the handle and 3gms (combined) between 3 and 9 and it became fantastic to use. Made the raquet more head light and definitely even more stable.

    In your honest opinion. Do you truly think that the VCORE Pro 97 310 offers more power than the Pro Staff 97 315? I'm looking for a frame that plays with the control of the Pro Staff 97 but offers a bit more pop and comfort as I've been dealing with some mild tennis elbow lately. I would be adding a few grams of lead to the tip of the VCORE 97 310 just as I do my Pro Staff 97 315. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the purchase or not. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

      97D- 7
      Spin: Gravity Pro-8
      97 D- 6
      Control: Gravity Pro-8

      Feel: Gravity Pro - 8
