This is one thing that I love about Brotherhood. Everyone gets their chance to contribute. It's not just Edward's show. Who would have expected Marcoh, the guy who's been essentially bullied by the Homunculi for so long to be the one to deal a near deathblow to Envy? It was definitely a powerful moment for him and one that I loved.
Interesting thing to note: the title of this episode is a reference to a line of dialogue Father has back in episode 28. Ling says "I can tell he looks down on humans and calls us fools." Father then compares humanity to insects/ants to illustrate how little he thinks of them and what they can accomplish. But, well, the "bite" of these so-called ants is more powerful than he thought.
Olivier hates Alex for the same reason Alex hates Alex. He didn't take a stand in Ishval, he just ran away. She would have respected him more if he'd turned traitor and fought with the Ishvalans. Instead, he participated in a genocide, found that he didn't have the stomach for it, and ran away crying. Worse yet, he stayed in the military afterwards. He's the only alchemist to come out of Ishval without an actual promotion (remember, all State Alchemists have the rank equivalent of Major even if they don't have the title). He's legitimately a disgrace, and even he knows it. That's why he was so vehement about fighting against Father's plans. He doesn't want to run away like a coward knowing the government is doing evil again.
Ling and Mei are indeed brother and sister. the emperor takes a wife from each of the major clans and knocks the women up. he has a number of children 1 from each clan. Mei is the princess of one clan and ling is the prince of another
I love that one of the rules for alchemists in this show is "Don't create gold," because in real life alchemy, creating gold was like the holy grail. In fact, the concept of the Philosopher's Stone was a substance that can turn any metal into gold, among other things.
Every week brings us closer to the most satisfying punch of any season, from any series. The only punch that literally made me yell at the screen like a sports fan.
*Kai Colson* - Actually, using the term 'technically' when they literally are half-siblings is probably closer to splitting hairs than correcting and saying they 'simply are"...
Mei would and should leave Ling to his fate with Greed as far as their relationship goes. They are half siblings in two of the 50-ish rival clans so it is in her best interest to get to the Emperor first. Her clan is super weak (financial and food problems) and is close to dying out. Getting there first guarantees her succession and clan's position. Ling's guard Lan Fan attempted to kill her(Mei attempting to kill her as well), despite having only one arm for this reason.
How long has it been since we saw Vido? All this time he's been sad over Greed. The only one who cared about chimeras. Maybe if he finds Greed, he'll get him to remember.
Every episode they react to there's always that "Things are going to start getting crazy now that we're here!" thing even though things have been getting crazy since the first episode. I guess people just have different views on when they thought the series was amazing (personally I thought it was amazing from the first episode onward). Also find it a bit annoying when cool dialogue gets cut short. I know these are supposed to be "10 minute reactions" but more often than not they barely reach 9 minutes.
Just so you guys know, this show basically has no brakes form now until the end. It's basically this intense with this much shit happening in every episode from here on out.
I never stopped to judge if the chimeras were actually good people. Their options weren't that good to begin with. They could try to run away and let their families perish, try and rescue their families and (best-case scenario) live on the run, come back to the army and most likely getting killed, or join in the fight against Father's plan.
I've been thinking the same thing for a while. I personally like it Better than FMAB but then again it's my favorite anime of all time. Still love both.
Charles Hendrix I love CG but it has so much less rewatch value once you see it a few times and catch the twists. FMA:B I can watch 50 times and still cherish every episode pretty much lol
Wise Wolf Tony yeah, the whole episode is awesome, but the fall from the window with green bird, his past memories and the "off key" joke at the end it's just perfect. One of my favourites episodes
The flask reference was literally mentioned in the previous episode, which they have already seen. They have discussed it, check out that video (ep 42).
Sorry. Sarcasm doesn't translate well through text. I was making a running joke how ppl think Aaron watches ahead so he can look smarter. My bad for the mistranslation.
Ethio Samurai I see, that’s cool. Yeah I don’t really get the whole “he’s seen it before” claims, too. Some of his comments and predictions aren’t that farfetched or hard to come up with. I’m sure there were others who’d predicted the same things that turned out to be correct. It just means they’re perceptive.
Sure, like most originals are. The dubs really lose a lot from the original magic and amazing performances. Japanese VA's are usually better actors imo. There are some great US VA's but a lot of them don't work on anime. I usually hear the better actors in shows like Young Justice, Batman, Avatar etc. I wonder why it's like that actually. Do studios like Funimation just pay less and attract lesser actors? I hope someone with more knowledge on this can answer this.
Hieillua Funimation is based in Texas while those American cartoons are recorded in Los Angeles. And you can't generalize, a lot of anime voice actors also work in cartoon voiceover, such as Steve Blum (who was in The Legend of Korra but has a bunch of anime roles) and Crispin Freeman (who was Roy Harper in Young Justice, but also has a bunch of anime roles). Also some of the best voice actors for video games and cartoons today, such as Troy Baker, Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham all started out dubbing anime for Funimation and have been in the FMAB dub (voicing Greedling, Lust and Roy Mustang, respectively).
Hohenheim at the end: _"WTF, what's my armour doing here..!?"_
Marc B. Poblet It would have been cool if they kept that from the Manga.
Yeah, I really don't get why they didn't, it's just a few seconds of dialogue...
It's funny how they *JUST* noticed Edward wasn't in these two episodes. Can't blame em. The characters are that good
It's a testament of how the main character doesn't need to be present in every episode for the series to still be good.
The series is so good the main character can be absent and won’t detract from it.
Yeah like hunter x hunter.
Yeah, just like the boiling rock episodes of Avatar

One of this shows greatest achievements is making me cheer for Yoki as he ran Pride over with a car and saved everyone.
I wonder if that circle would also work on father
@@piratepigci think it would work, but father could probably counter it before it did any real damage.
Interesting thing to note: the title of this episode is a reference to a line of dialogue Father has back in episode 28. Ling says "I can tell he looks down on humans and calls us fools." Father then compares humanity to insects/ants to illustrate how little he thinks of them and what they can accomplish. But, well, the "bite" of these so-called ants is more powerful than he thought.

this comment is gold. some people dont like olivier for being headstrong and for hating (i use the term loosely) alex.
That's perfectly said. The crew should read this comment.
Less of a disgrace than the people who, despite their qualms, willfully participated in a genocide.
Omg bless ur knowledge
No one hates Alex more than Alex.
I really like how Bradley is with her wife. Even in the end, he keep praising her.
Ling and Mei are indeed brother and sister. the emperor takes a wife from each of the major clans and knocks the women up. he has a number of children 1 from each clan. Mei is the princess of one clan and ling is the prince of another
Yep, 50 wives (one wife from each clan). The emperor has a harem.
I love that one of the rules for alchemists in this show is "Don't create gold," because in real life alchemy, creating gold was like the holy grail. In fact, the concept of the Philosopher's Stone was a substance that can turn any metal into gold, among other things.
damn the animation quality went over 9000 just for a second during Dr Marcoh's super saiyan moment.
Every week brings us closer to the most satisfying punch of any season, from any series.
The only punch that literally made me yell at the screen like a sports fan.
Marco reversed the Philosopher's Stone transmutation circle using Alchahestry (Scar's brother's research). He didn't always know that.
He did
Incorrect. The circle on his hand was definitely alchemy, similar to the circle to make stones but different.
"That's creepy as fuck, I wish I could do that" -Calvin
I love that even as a worm envy is still the sassiest XD this is why he's my favorite homunculos lol
Mei and Ling are technically half siblings but they are from rival clans who hate each other
thats not a technicality, thats simply them being half siblings
houseofaction you're splitting hairs
*Kai Colson* - Actually, using the term 'technically' when they literally are half-siblings is probably closer to splitting hairs than correcting and saying they 'simply are"...

That one dislike from envy
Mephisto Faust 9 now. The 7 sins, Father, and Yoki who is still upset about the Envy situation 😂
Then who are the remaining two?
"That is creepy as fuck... I wish I could do that."
How long has it been since we saw Vido? All this time he's been sad over Greed. The only one who cared about chimeras. Maybe if he finds Greed, he'll get him to remember.
Yeah, he'll get Greed to remember, even if its the *last* thing he does....
The subtly is hilarious here. Relax guys we’re a week out
Love how Eric fanboys over Scar every time. 😊
FlowerTrollSan tbh, don't we all?
From now on, a rollercoaster of emotions...... Only great episodes ahead.
The same can be said from the first episode onward :D
A fucking perfect moment, gives me chills everytime. just like lots of other moments in this series
Things are REALLY gonna pick up now
I flipping love this episode
I'm watching this right now in 2020 because I needed a reason to rewatch FMA:B. Always better with good company too.

Did the "polywog" from stranger things 2 remind anyone of Envy's true form when they first saw it?!
HAPPY NEW YEAR BLIND WAVE!
Marcoh had some badass moments
I smile and cry seeing Rose so happy in Brotherhood
hunter x hunter 2011 plz. i just want them to feel what i felt in episode 131-135
“The State has no interest in ethics” is such a raw, real line.
The chorus of swear words after each episode is my brain whenever I watch and rewatch this series xD
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Every episode they react to there's always that "Things are going to start getting crazy now that we're here!" thing even though things have been getting crazy since the first episode. Parasyte The Maxim Next!!!!! And great reaction as always
Just so you guys know, this show basically has no brakes form now until the end. It's basically this intense with this much shit happening in every episode from here on out.

Marcoh is a boss.

Most of the fans call Ling(Greed) GreeLing, and the original Greed, well Greed
Code Geass next !
JustTooLit ohhh yes, they have to
I've been thinking the same thing for a while. I personally like it Better than FMAB but then again it's my favorite anime of all time. Still love both.
Charles Hendrix Geass is my favorite anime ever
Charles Hendrix I love CG but it has so much less rewatch value once you see it a few times and catch the twists. FMA:B I can watch 50 times and still cherish every episode pretty much lol
Merry new year everybody
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 🎊❤️
COWBOY BEBOP !!!......please ?
Wise Wolf Tony yeah, the whole episode is awesome, but the fall from the window with green bird, his past memories and the "off key" joke at the end it's just perfect. One of my favourites episodes
Wise Wolf Tony, yeah that episode is awesomely funny the chase in the end is hilarious, but i consider "Cowboy Funk" to be the funyest.
Mei and Ling don't really see eachother as siblings or family, they are rivaling clans searching for immortality.
First episode where Ed doesnt even show up. Not even in thought or flashback
That the office joke, beeats bears bttkestar galactica
If you guys could do a reaction to kimi No Na Wa pls do it I'll be be so happy i won't know what to do.
I liked the movie, but that's it. I don't think it's worth a reaction video :/
Aaron catching that flask reference before it happened in the beginning of the ep. Very suspicious. Makes you wonder if he's seen it before
The flask reference was literally mentioned in the previous episode, which they have already seen. They have discussed it, check out that video (ep 42).

Huh. The english voice actors who play them must have the same vocal tone or something o.O
Gentleman
What are your thoughts on Sicario 2 Soldado?
Thanks!!!!!!
Y’all should react to happy
Oh =/ Did they show Envy's true form that early in the anime?
Taikoubou07 Yeah. It happened earlier when Ed and Ling were inside Gluttony.
No, I mean the worm form, not that giant form.
Why did you skip the last part mostly that was my favorite moment
React to the inbetweeners. The British version, of course.

DBZA when
Yonatan Braymok they always wait a week
WHAT ABOUT DBZA
DJAAFAR DJAAFAR they always wait a week
Envying people is bad. And that's why I guess, Envy was drawn so ugly. Cuz it's an ugly feeling in men's heart!
As much as i like brotherhood, 2003s Envy was so much better of a charater.
Rwby?
Too bad they have not seen FMA 2003. That version was much better than people gave it credit for
Who else wants them to watch Certain Scientific Railgun or Magical Index super hard?
Me. I want to see their reaction to Accelerator "vs" Awaki, if you know what I mean.
One does not simply
Right, I think that calling it a "one sided annihilation" would give it away huh?
I'm sure Calvin would love the extra hard punches that are thrown in that show. They feel so good.
Index was good, but railgun was bad. Railgun felt like poor sidestory with many enemies with poor plots.
I actually agree with that.
2 minutes ago babyyyy
16th
😭😭😭😭Noooo my ship
You guys are seriously the worst at names...
Sub is better
Leo Baulos Nope.
Disagree. Fmab dub is incredible
