    Great Video ..Looks like you almost need a Dyno as opposed to riding in the street.. With E-15 fuel becoming much more popular this will be very needed.. Looks like you have to install the Flash Tune kit first

      Hello Mike, we will be updating this video shortly so it will have more info on how to setup your tune. You do not need a dyno, you can do it in a track session. These products are designed for the race track and are not intended for street use.
      You are correct though, you have to have the FlashTune setup before you can use ActiveTune.

      FT ECU Inc I have a few questions. Active tune is not bike specific, correct?
      In thr video the computer was hooked up while bike was run on the dyno, but in this reply you mentioned you can do it in a track session. Can you describe how that process goes, as the video has me thinking the computer needs to be hooked up. If I were to guess, I would think it works like the power commander auto tune where it makes suggestions while your ride, and when your session is done, you view suggestions and apply?
      Edit: I just read below confirming what I thought. The problem is my bike is a 2016 R3. The bike side harness for the R3 plugs in and detaches. Once you are flashing you need to unplug it completely and then plug it back into the bike. This means you would hAve to turn the bike off. How would that work for this specific bike?

    also does the ECU do cruise AFR trimming as well as Full throttle.
    meaning when cruising can I target say 14:1 AFR then when I am full throttle can I target 12.5 / 13:1 AFR's for best performance?
    also with accel cut is that adjustable or is it on or off. Id like some engine braking. just not heaps maybe having % in this would be good. so we can have some engine braking and have it tunable

    I understand the “race aspect” of this kit but how exactly would you use the live monitor on the “track” without being directly plugged into the computer you are running the live monitor with?

      Keep your key turned on when you come off track, connect the software and click the READ button (instead of MONITOR for dyno tunning) it will download the trims it learned while you rode, click save and that will reflash your ECU with the new map.

    I have the same bike 2016 year. I've bought of you Quickshifter ECU Base kit, which comes with Type 7 harness, it required ECU Harness 11 I bought this as well and connected as per instructions, however quickshifter doesn't work, what is wrong, it looks like the wiring is wrong as per your video the side harness has different wire colours.

    When I want to activate the mi r6 adjustment mode with the flash tune payment license I want to change the change but I never manage to flash the change only, I can leave the live mode active so I can't change parameters if I want to change fuel or some change may be what could be

    I understand the concept of this activeTune my only concern is the quick shifter will it still operate normally once I do the activetune I heard of some people saying that they're quickshifter dont work after activetune install I currently have the ftecu side harness for a flash tune and the ftecu quickshifter on my xsr900 well I encounter any issues with my quickshifter after I installed and activate the active tune?

      I'm guessing that is because they flashed an image that had Quickshifter disabled, there is a dropdown menu in the image to enable the autoblipper and QS..etc. My MT10 works fine with ActiveTune + Autoblipper QS

    Ok I'm looking to tune my Mt-07 and was looking into the PCV auto tune setup when I called up my pal Jay Tanner for some insight before he directed me to you so now I have a couple questions.
    1. Does the bike need to be hooked up to a computer to run the active tune or just to enable it? Meaning can I enable active tune and go hit up the canyon or do a few laps on the track to build the new base map? Seems like the PCV can do this without a computer needing to be hooked up at the time.
    2. I figure this is a long shot but if a computer on the bike is needed for active tune can it be run on phone app or I-pad?
    3. Is active tune necessary before live correction mode or is active tune more of a short cut to speed up what live correction mode will do eventually?
    4. Jay tells me there's a bunch of other stuff I can change with a ecu reflash over the PCV like disabling the abs warning light after the abs system has been removed. How about speed correction to compensate for gearing changes or tire size changes?
    5. I hear the oem system live tunes for a mid 14 air fuel ratio which sounds a bit on the rich side but I assume this is for EPA regs. I also hear it only live tunes for part of the rpms range, maybe only the lower end as that would seem to make sense. Will live tune with the FTECU allow me to set my A/F to say 13.5 and have it hold it to that for the full range or even allow me to set multiple A/F specs for separate points in the RPM range?
    Seems there's so much potential with the system but not much info about what it can do easily available. Not sure if I'm just not finding that holy grail info page hidden on your website or if you are purposely holding back that extra info to avoid further confusion from the internet masses who don't understand how fuel injection and timing work.

      Thank you for the detailed questions.
      1st, you need a computer to turn Live Correction mode on, after it is turned on you write your ecu, we are updating the video now. Thanks for pointing that out.
      2nd see above
      3rd, you dont have to use ActiveTune to write a map before you ride with Live Correction mode, but we recommend it. Leave it in live correction mode while you ride. This will adjust for changes in temperature and other conditions. You can use a dyno or a track session to help set the initial map. After you save a run like in the video, the bike starts at those levels and then uses live correction to make small changes.
      4th yes, there a lot of features we offer that dynojet does not. Things like disabling ABS lights, removing exhaust servo motors, turning off stock O2 sensors, removing speed limiters and more. We do not currently offer speedo correction.
      5th Some bikes, like the MT-07 have an O2 sensor from the factory. You are correct in guessing it is for only a certain range in the RPM band, and yes, it is near the bottom. When you use ActiveTune you disable the stock O2 sensor and our system controls the entire RPM range. You can adjust the target AFR to fit your needs. There is a target AFR map that you change.
      Lastly, you are partially correct, we didnt cram all the info into this video, there is a massive amount of data and info that can be used in the tuning software. We will be updating this video to reflect more of it soon.
      Quick note, AFR is AIR-fuel ratio. So when it is 14:1 that is more LEAN than 13:1 because it is 14 parts air to 1 part fuel. So the lower the number, the more fuel.

      @@FTECUInc I feel like a dummy because everyone kept saying stock AF tune was in the 14's and and I know on the race bike we always aimed for something in the 13's but in my retirement haze I flipped the ratio's and thought 14 was richer than 13. My 2-stroke premix friends would be ashamed at me for reversing ratios.
      Random bonus question, anything in the works to tune ducati's? My dad has an 848 and wants to tune it.

    Not sure if you guys are still active... Is it possible to run the quick shifter and the active tune at the same time? does it plug into the factory o2 connector on the fz07?

      @Franz Fanon I know they have nothing to do with each other. I wasn't sure if the o2 connector went to factory connector or to the tuning port.

    It isn’t at all clear how this process applies to someone without a dyno... Are we to ride down the road with our laptops?

      Jimmy Baggs I believe you can use the live tune feature as data collection without a computer. It will then recommend you to update your map based on the data it gathered once you plug it back in. From what I've read, it only changes the fueling per cell by a maximum of 10% each time. After doing this a few times the map should be pretty dialed in. I'd leave the live tune enabled to correct for temperature, elevation changes, and small changes in fuel quality

    I have the R1 2016, Ftecu installed even the racing package but, there are many detonations in the exhaust, the active tune would help me eliminate these detonations or can I do something else ?, are the block off installed and deactivated the IAS

    Is there a way that you guys can come out with an update that makes the ECU remember the learned values after the key is turned off and back on? I hate that I lose the fuel corrections if I turn the bike off. (i.e. when I get fuel and have to use my key to unlock my gas cap)

      @@cfvgd That's not the case at all. Unlike the video where the bike is hooked up to a pc on a dyno where FTECU can flash the bike right then and there; us consumers will have to go out for a ride with live correction turned on like mentioned above. After we go out for a ride we need to come back to the garage and save our freshly tuned map before turning the bike off. Once the map has been saved in the software we re-flash the ECU with that new map and repeat the process 3 times until all of the cells have been tuned.

    Just ordered just the harness and autotune kits. If I don't have access to a dyno can I just leave it in realtime autotune all the time? Cheers.

      Just remember that if you turn your key off before you save the corrections they will be reset to 0. If you turn off the key/ECU the learned values are gone forever.

      You do not need to trick your ecu. When you attach ActiveTune it plugs into your stock O2 plug. You turn the stock 02 off in the ECU and then the full RPM range is controlled by our system.

      I’m pretty sure that they have the active tune for the r3. I just got one for my mt07
