Because Uncharged *killed* the last major Indiana Jones game project, the Staff of Kings. It'd already had a rocky three years of development, but when Drake's Fortune came out in 2007, everyone on the project realized that the stuff they'd been trying and failing to execute all that time *was in that game*, and worked great. Whatever hope was left for the project basically died when the team realized they had no idea how to compete with Uncharted. The 360 and PS3 development was canned shortly after. And that competitor is Nathan Drake, the Indiana Jones of the 21st Century.
@jamescousins9216 True, but on the other note there had been older Indiana games done in third person that were also kinda trash. Truth be told I don't mind which way they decided to make this game as long as it worked and in my opinion a first person indiana jones game kinda worked.

The new Indiana Jones game is pretty smart focusing on the puzzles and exploration more so than the action/combat when they decided to go for the first person perspective. Personally, games about discovery and putting pieces together fit the best in first person. Most third person games often tend to have to put visible prompts or glints to show that something is there or can be interacted with, meanwhile due to the nature of first person, you can put and fit a lot more interactable things in the environment that really help give a sense of discovery. Not to mention you can also do more enclosed spaces in first person.

Sorry but Uncharted released in 2016 and Indiana Jones released in 2024 , although I Love Indiana Jones but Uncharetd is the winner
Only if your just looking for something new but not different, then I agree with you, the story and gameplay are basically the same and Uncharted is just as immersive.
Both seem like great games (I’ve played neither), made differently for different people. (Also uncharted looks good visually ngl)
@@MHesam.2007No one compares the graphics. GTA San Andreas is still one of the best games in 2024.
1.4 tr vs 12 tr= winner is 1.4 Tr by Sony playstation
i absolutely love both games. its also impressive to me taht even though in terms of enviromental quality and asset quality and specially lighting, Indiana jones and the great circle shows how much modern it is, it looks 7 years newer just as it is, that path tracing illumination just humbles the outdated raster lighting used in uncharted, the facial anmimations on uncharted are still superior to those in the new indi game, naughty dog kills it with the facil animations, they manage to remove the feeling you are watching a videogame and look like you are watching a movie.
Indie does falls short in that regard, many facil animations are meh.
But specially i lov ehow gamepaly wise both are in my opinion equally good while being very different.
Indy is better. Always will be
2 diff games, people still making comparison xd
If you shoot a barrel, it won't explode. So, both are wrong hahaha
indiana looks a lot, Because it looks like a game rather than a glorified cgi movie
Imagine comparing an 8 yr old game with a newly released game in 2024 and the 8 yr old game does it better in most aspects than the newly released. So basically Naughty Dog was literally 8 years ahead of what is being done now. This is why they are king.
2 very very different studios and 2 different ip. You wouldn't have uncharted if it wasn't for Indiana Jones. Other than action adventure there is nothing similar about them.
We can always compare technical stuff, animation and such no matter the differences of the genre, it's only when one is an open world that it becomes a bit complicated @@stolenname94
nah, indiana looks better because 90% of gameplay isnt scripted
@democracy_enjoyer this isn't about how scriped the gameplay is, but the technical quality
@@CHARIF_Omar technical quality has no meaning in a game. its the actual gameplay mechanics, in which nither games are great but indiana is still infinitly superior.
Don't comapre the graphic. Indi is way way higher graphic than uncharted. Which game is photorealistic? Undoubtedly the indi is.
Compare other things like animation, physics, interaction and story.
When Nazi Camps Was In Giza 😂😂
Indiana Jones is better
Lmao
Only because it’s new and you want something new, other than that they are the same.
Nothing about this game screams better 😂
Uncharted looks like dog water
@@TheRealFrank0 have you seen your face?
Do you think naughty dog could of created a greater Indiana Jones?
Yes
100% yes!
They’ve already played and with semi-open worlds in Uncharted: Lost Legacy & The Last of Us: Part 2
Using the ABSOLUTELY superior melee combat system they have, I have absolute faith they would have crushed it
Honestly can’t think of a single area where I see Machine Games as a better studio
Also I’ve beaten & really enjoyed Indy
Machine Games deserves a massive round of applause for how well they NAILED being an Indiana Jones game
At the end of the day though they made an amazing video game adaption that’s a 7/10
1 day ago 😮😢😢
Razones por las que les gusta a la gente uncharter, es tercera persona, más nada
I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan, but I'm sorry, Uncharted is better in every way, and wayy more satisfying. Imagine if Uncharted was in first person, the game would be a completely different game. Indy should've been 3rd person, and it's single-handedly one of the worst decisions they could've made.
Indiana Jones❌
Far Jones Cry✅
Far Jones Cry? I don't get it.
@Blenderhunn All the player wants 3rd person view, but the developer make it first person view
Indiana movements look very rigid and slow
More realistic
@@johnnyrock8848 more boring
Should we get a magic staff to levitate to the pyramid? What a joke
@@mrfishsticks266 the game hero sure is a joke
I just finished it earlier. It’s a beautiful game, it’s just dull.
PEAK 💯💯💯💯😝
Una comparación innecesaria juegos totalmente distintos en sus mecánicas.
Tu me perdona pero naughty dog hiso brujeria con uncharted 4 hoy por hoy seve mejor que muchos juegos actuales
Xbox ????
I have to say after playing Indian Jones is average game compare to Uncharted or Tomb raider
What an odd and pointless comparison to try and make.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and yours is noted but I belive his comparison is necessary and proves a point, Indiana jones is just a known movie figure in another uncharted game.
On the animation side, Indy is definitely behind unfortunately...
Nah tomb raider
I think this is not a good comparison :I
Nah uncharted>
So many cringy corny uncharted fanboy in here, all i can say both are a wonderful game.
So basically a game from 2016 that looks better and play better need less hardware , and a shit game from 2024 need for a minimum and rtx 2060, yea good to be alive .
Uncharted sucks
Uncharted is soo shit, wouldve been better on xbox. Uncharted copied indiana jones games and playstation sucks ass... uncharted to pixelated the games graphic suck.... also troy baker way better voice actor than what uncharted has shit games shit voice actors and shit graphics
Troy baker was also in uncharted idiot
@solidbhatt no he wasn't, uncharted shit.... xbox better
Console war is long gone, grow up. By the way, this game is gonna be on PlayStation few months later.
1 isn't not a copy is just a inspiration
2 Just saying the game should be on Xbox doesn't necessarily mean it will be better
3 Troy is also in uncharted you'd know that if you has played the game
4 the cast isn't bad actually is pretty good and don't get mad at the voice actors, they worked really hard to dub the game.
5 just enjoy the game and don't be a hater
Arguing with a 10 year old is crazy
I dont now people compare indiana graphics to uncharted😂not even closed
Uncharted is just some Marvel Superhero bullshit
Indian jones Is some far cry bullshit
Hahaha you have it inside, a game that has been out for 8 years looks better than Indiana Mojon 🤣🤣🤣
Poor uncharted.. can't even hold up. What a lame looking game.
One of the greatest games of all time
Indiana Jones looks like it came out 8 years ago lol
One of these games is 8 years old. Was uncharted that ahead of its time? Or has graphics really been stagnated that much?
